Hello Everyone wwlurker - I'm glad to hear you were back down again. Hope the presentation went well and you were able to find some plan friendly food. sunrose - Hope you fit in some exercise today. I'm doing well and staying on track. I've had a few days where I wanted to overeat but I've been able to fight back and not do it. There is one thing I wish I had gotten over after two years on this program - thinking about getting food out somewhere as a treat. I still constantly think of things I'd like to eat out somewhere but I really wish I could get to a point where food was something that while enjoyable, was what I needed to eat for my daily health. I've just always used food as a treat/reward and I wonder if I'll ever be able to break free from thinking that way. Oh well, just have to work harder at staying on track

cj59 - I can totally relate to how you feel about food. It's gotten better for me over the years (I guess? ). Sometimes I get really down about how big I am. Then I ask myself why do I not do something about it!! I am retired and really don't dress up much anymore. When I do meet friends I stress on what to wear and gee how big I am. Honestly I am embarrassed to see old friends. Okay enjoy of the self pity.....:-) Happy Friday Brenda

Good morning everyone! sunrose49 - it's pretty gloomy here today too. We get a lot of fog. cj59 - I still probably think about food more than I should, but I do find that I think about it less when I have everything planned out, so that it's automatic, and when I eat less junk. Today I'm going out to lunch with the person I mentor at work, but it's a place with a lot of healthy options and salads, so it will be fine. I'm going to try to stay super focused this weekend. My goal is to be as close as possible to a new "decade" on my home scale by Monday. I think that this little challenge may help me stay on track. I've been mostly ok, with a few missteps lately. I need to cut out the missteps. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone sunrose - Before I started on this last weight loss journey over 2 years ago I was thinking exactly the same words you wrote. I was embarrassed to go out in public and to see people I knew. I dreaded summertime when I couldn't wear a coat or jacket to cover up my body. I weighed over 300 pounds, and felt terrible about myself. I know that if I can lose all this weight - you can do it too. I think the most important thing to be successful is to find the one thing that motivates us the most to stick with the weight loss plan. I know for me it was having so much pain in my legs and knees and being scared that I would not be able to take care of myself. That really shocked me into doing something. I hope you can find the motivation to stay strong and stay on track wwlurker - Good luck with this weekend, I hope it's a strong one for you and that you stay focused. I also hope you hit that new decade when you get on your scale Monday. That is always such an exciting milestone I'm doing well and staying on track. I'm fighting impulses to overeat and trying to find "treats" to satisfy myself. One of my favorite new treats is Jello Sugar Free Cook and Serve Chocolate Pudding (made with 2 cups of Fat Free milk). I love eating it warm the first day, that's a real treat for me.

cj59 oh I can so relate to wearing winter clothes vs. summer clothes. Thanks I will have to think on that one "motivation" for me. It should be just finding my old self again. :-) Yum the pudding sounds good. I like it warm too. Have you seen the Enlightened snacks? Really good and low in points.
cj59 you are doing so good with the maintenance. I know it is hard at times, but hang in there before you know it, it will be a habit.
It is nice here to headed out for a walk and a more positive attitude.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today and enjoying the weekend sunrose - Thanks for the support and info about the enlightened snacks. I like to keep some crunchy and some sweet snacks in the house - just as long as they are the kind I can control I'm doing well today and staying on track. I have been fighting the feeling to want to overeat, so I have to work hard at not doing that. I've done some extra walking today to hopefully help keep my mind off food.

cj59 I got the snacks from Amazon. I think they are good and individually packaged for 2 sp. Enlightened roasted broad bean crisps is the name of what I bought. Someone had posted that on Connect so I ordered them. I just open a pack and slowly eat them. I also bought the ice cream bars at the Giant (I think) and they are 3 sp.
Also cj59 I drink sparkling water (along with regular water) because it is suppose to make you feel full. I love the orange flavor.
Hang in there you are doing great!!
Waving to all.
Headed out for a walk with my dog and then with a friend on the towpath. It's a beautiful day here.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying your day sunrose - It really helps to find snacks and a drinks that help us, doesn't it? I've found several things that help me stay on track. Hope you enjoyed your walk. wwlurker - Hope your weekend is going well. I'm doing well and staying on track. This is the last day of my first week (well acutally 9 days) on Maintenance, so I'll weigh-in tomorrow and see if I gained/lost/stayed the same and then see what my daily points will be for next week. I feel like I've stayed the same, which I'd be happy with.

Good morning
cj59 good luck at WI today!!
wwlurker hope you are doing good.
I walked a total of 8 miles yesterday. I walk often on the C&O Canal (which is called the towpath for short). I did 4 miles with a friend and the rest was walking around the house, yard, dog, etc. My feel were really hurting last night.

Hello everyone!
I have been off my game lately (completely). I'm feeling it as well. I'm not sure what I need to do to break out of this funk, but it's been rough.
I've basically been completely off plan this weekend (so much for a new decade!). Home stuff exploded a bit, so that's part of the reason.
There are so many balls in the air all of the time that it's hard to do well on all three fronts (home, work and self) at the same time. Right now home is winning. Work is lagging and self has fallen off the radar.

sunrose - Congratulations on all that walking, hope your feet feel better soon wwlurker - Be kind to yourself, you have so many things that take your time and energy, I give you a lot of credit for trying to eat right while dealing with all that. I hope you can get back on track soon. I had my weigh-in this morning and after one week (actually 9 days) on Maintenance I stayed the same weight. I was happy about that, because if I can keep 24 points a day and 35 weeklies and maintain my loss I'll be happy. That's plenty of food to eat. I'm guessing that I just keep my points the same this second week and see if I stay the same, gain, or lose at the next weigh-in. I can't imagine I need to change my daily points since I didn't lose or gain. I figure I can make my own rules since I'm doing my own program

Good morning! cj59 - thanks for your encouragement; it's hard not to get discouraged. I'm up after the weekend, and because I've been eating junk that I don't usually eat, I'm craving even more junk. This morning, I made myself my usual smoothie for breakfast and when I went to drink it, it was half gone. I think I have an 8 year old thief in the house And congratulations on maintaining! That's awesome! I completely support making your own rules. sunrose49 - congratulations on the great walking day! Today I am trying to get back on track again! Unfortunately, it's a bad week for exercise due to work commitments. I'm just going to try to keep at it. Eventually it will click back in place.

Good morning
cj59 WTG with your first week of maintenance! Do you go to meetings or online?
wwlurker I remember the days of trying to juggle everything. Hang in there. I'm retired and have no excuse, but I seem to find one...lol
Need to head out for a walk before the heat hits.

Hello Everyone wwlurker - I laughed at your comment on the 8 year old thief Hang in there and do the best you can this week, that's all any of us can do. sunrose - I'm retired too, so no excuse for not getting in my exercise each day I'm doing the old WW Momentum plan (from 2009-2010 timeframe) on my own. I had been in WW back then and lost over 100 pounds, but stopped going and gained it all back and then some. I did like that program though, and had kept all my materials, so I pulled them out and started back in March 2015. I'm doing well today. I ate lunch at an unexpected place, but made the best lower calorie choices I could and then adjusted my dinner to support the lunch. It's just crazy that a small bowl of soup and half of a sandwich is over half of my daily points!!! It's no wonder people who are dieting can't eat out that much.

Good morning
cj59 that's nice you are retired too. I keep a lot of my information from over the years, but recently cleaned it all out. I made Lifetime in 1991 so I have seen a lot of different programs over the years.
wwlurker hope you are doing well.
Off to walk before the rain hits.
