Good morning
cj59 you have such a good attitude about the maintenance. I think it will truly help you in the long run. It's hard sometimes eating out trying to figure out the points of something. Keep up the good work!
Waving to all
Off to get on the treadmill.

Good morning everyone! I've been MIA and completely off plan as well! I'm taking some time today to get my feet back under me so that I can get back on track. Tomorrow is WI and I'm not looking forward to it. sunrose49 - you seem to be doing well. cj59 - good for you for reflecting on the gain. I am in agreement with not decreasing your points from just one gain. I also don't measure/weigh everything out - it works until it doesn't, right? I'm a believer in doing things as you plan to do them for life, so I'm ok with guesstimating most of the time until I see a problem with it. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hi Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today sunrose - Hope you enjoyed your time on the treadmill wwlurker - Good to see you back, hope you are can get yourself back on track and good luck at the weigh-in, it might not be bad I weighed myself this morning and was down 1.6 pounds, so I'm only 0.2 pounds over what I was last week and I can believe that I might have gained that much weight from what I ate during that time. I'm still below my goal weight too, so that's good. I've found that it's really difficult to get rid of the mentality that I need to lose weigh each week. I think we kind of gear ourselves up to see a smaller number all the time and it's really a lot of work not letting that number mean so much. I know that there are many other ways I've been successful - exercise, food I've eaten, water, tracking, etc. But sometimes it seems like it all comes down to that number!! I guess it's something that I have to work out in my mind.

wwlurker good to see you. Good luck with your WI today and also getting back on track. That is a constant job for me.
cj59 I can relate to the "number" feeling. I have been dealing with that since I was probably 17. It all started with a guy that I was dating. Seems like most men I have been with have issues wanted a "calendar girl" (which I am not). That alone has played with my head over the years and also made for low self esteem. Now that I am single I will do this weight journey for me.
I did have a nice walk on the TM. I watched a movie and that helped pass the time. Since it is still yucky here I will probably walk on the TM again today.

Hello everyone! WI today was ok. I was down another 0.2, despite not having a great week. I'm keeping on. I have a big event tomorrow and a very stressful meeting today with my DS's school (time to get all mama bear!). I haven't been focusing on myself. sunrose49 - good to see you too! I'm very lucky in that my DH is extremely supportive and has never made me feel less attractive based on my size. He likes me any way he can get me lol! But I think in the end you have to do it for yourself anyway; that's the only way it will work for good! cj59 - good for you for being down! I've never successfully maintained, so I'm not much help on that front, but I think that focusing on new goals is a good idea. Have a great, OP day everyone!

Hello Everyone sunrose - I watch TV, and sometimes read, while I walk. Makes the time go by quickly. I'm with you on the weight journey being for me and no one else, maybe that's why it's finally working for me. Good luck to you too. wwlurker - Hope things go well at your meeting and it wasn't too stressful. Good for you being down, that's good since your week was tough. I can't imagine how tough it is to stick with a plan while taking care of a family, so give yourself credit. I'm doing well today and staying on track. The next 3 days will be a challenge for me, since I have an event to go to on each one of them. Two of them won't have a bunch of food related things, but I'll probably have to eat out. The other one will definitely have a lot of tempting food for me. This is a once a year thing, so I've been saving up my weekly points to be able to use them for this event.

Good morning everyone! cj59 - I hope that you have a great time at your events and are able to stick to your plan! Yesterday went fairly well. I'm slowly getting back on plan. Today is the start of a new week for me. We have company visiting until Saturday and we have a big event to attend tonight. I'm super excited about the event; there will be appetizers and drinks, so I will have to navigate that. I'm hoping to have a healthy dinner before I go so that I can just stay away from the appetizers and have a glass of wine or too. I'm on hosting duties tonight so I really can't drink too much. I hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today wwlurker - I'm glad to hear your day went well yesterday. I hope you had a strong start for your new week today. Also hope you had a good time at your big event tonight. sunrose and hiker - Hope things are going good on your plans. I managed today well. Had a great time at the event (a Quilt Show) and then treated myself to a lunch out - double cheeseburger and a milkshake. I hadn't had a milkshake in probably a year. The food was so good And what's great is that I could fit them into my week, because I saved my weekly points up until today and only needed to use 7 of them. I think tomorrow I'll also do well without needing too many weekly points. It's Saturday that will have a lot of food around and I already to get some of it and use more weekly points for those. I was happy I still got all my exercise done today and also all my water drank, as well as my normal fruits, vegetables and dairy. It just shows me that with planning and effort I can eat well and stay on track.

Good morning everyone! cj59 - it's nice when you can fit in the foods you crave and still stay on plan. Our event last night was great. I didn't end up eating dinner before hand, so I did eat some of the appetizers at the event. I also had some wine, but not too much. Today we have our company here, so I will be working around that. The only meal it really impacts is dinner. I find it much easier to navigate the rest of the day. I hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone wwlurker - Glad to hear you had a good time last night and managed the food. sunrose - Hope you enjoyed the visit with your friend. I had a good day and made good choices for my meal out today, so I was happy with that. I also didn't need to use too many weekly points today so that leaves me with a lot of them to use this weekend - when I'm going to need them. Tomorrow will be a challenging food day, so I hope to stay on track but still enjoy myself. I'm going to a Celtic Festival where they have foods that I love and only get to have once a year. I just have to make sure to get in my healthy foods too, along with my exercise and water.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today Well, I'll be glad when this weekend is over since I'm completely off track and overeating. I should have known I couldn't avoid that food yesterday. I know I'm using the excuse that it's only one time a year that I get the food, but I wish I had been better able to control my eating and also what food I brought home. I probably should have waited until May to start on Maintenance, but I guess having days like these are part of the process too. I am still getting in my healthy foods, water and exercise, so I'm not completely off track, but I'll be glad to get done with today and start fresh tomorrow.

Hello everyone! cj59, don't be so hard on yourself! It's one day. sunrose49 is right; we need to learn to handle these things as they are a part of life and there will always be special occasions for us to navigate. sunrose49, HBD to your son. Mine is 8 and I agree; time does go way too fast. Today I managed to make it to yoga. DD wanted to go after not having gone in more than a month. It was great. I really feel like yoga is like a treat for me; it feels indulgent! I've been pretty OP today, but yesterday and Friday were a bit rough. My company took a lot of unhealthy food into my house and I ended up eating some of it. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to control it, but I have some other stuff going on that was taking my focus. This week, I am away Mon-Tues, so I'll have to work around that. I also have two catered meals on Thursday. Thankfully we have a quiet weekend for once. It feels like we haven't had one of those in a very long time! Hope everyone has a great, OP day!
