I had a good day and a bad day yesterday. Good because I found out we are purple tier again so I went to Chicoβs A day ahead of my personal appointment and there was no one shopping in the store. I bought a casual lounge outfit at Soma for $19.25 using one $100 gift card on two pieces. At Chicos I put aside two pairs of pants and I think three tops and I will use my other gift certificate and pay a minimal amount for all of those items.I donβt let anyone help me because I know exactly what I want and what I will and will not wear but they canβt help finding sizes. Then I continued on to total wine and bought the guys all they want for the holidays in more.I had everything put away in a closet before Bob got home. Hereβs the bad part. Rachel had invited us to celebrate Christmas with her family the morning of December 23 because the girls always go to their moms on the 24th. Today I called her just to chat and said well we will see you on the 23rd and basically she disinvited Bob and me in favor of her husband sister and boyfriend. Her rationale was we socialize with Robyn Whitney in addition to with Laura and her family. If having dinner outside at Robβs house in early August before school started counts as major socialization we really have lousy social lives. My feelings are very hurt because Chris her husband is manipulating everything and am I supposed to drop off bags of toys at their front door like Santa Claus and then get my car and wave goodbye. Chrisβs parents will be at their house so it will just be his immediate family without his brother. She did not suggest that we come another day because basically they want to limit their exposure to other people but I hate not seeing the children open their gifts when they live about 2 miles from our house. Sorry but I donβt feel like writing a personal or even what I will do to control my weight although I will say it didnβt make me eat or drink even though I was at the wine store and thought I could probably down one of those tiny bottles on my way home.

June, you can only do what you can do. Yes, that is the Bee's knee. It was so swollen I thought it might pop. So wrinkles excited me, it meant some swelling went down.
Oh, Audrey, how sad.
All is well here.

I will: track every BLT on MFP and also track on ITB...perhaps paper, too! The scale is up in one week from 174 to 180.8. I doubt I have eaten enough calories to create that gain but do think my body was eager to return to 180 as it is a setpoint. So, yesterday was OP and recorded and today will be, too...and every day for a LONG time. I would much rather catch it NOW than indulge more and see the scale higher. So, onward and down again I go!
It is sunny today and I can hear people out in the olive orchards. I am not sure if they are harvesting but imagine they might be.
I have 20 minutes of walking in so far and plan to do 20 minutes more soon. I see laundry and a shower in my near future...after the 60 minutes of walking are finished.
AUDREY: Is there any way that they could do a WhatsApp or Zoom or Skype call so you can see the opening of presents or record it and send it your way? What a sorry situation that the husband's family gets to be there but you do not. I suppose you could look through the window or maybe have them open the presents on the porch while you watch but for them not to even THINK of a way to let you feel a part of the day sounds sad. That said, hooray for new clothing and getting such a good deal on what you bought! Hope your medical appointment went well.
JUNE: It is good to not do a huge splurge eat when I see an even higher number (like this morning). I guess over the decades I have learned...something. JoJo sounds like a wonderful dog! So glad you are nearing the end of this semester. How long do you have between semesters?
ANN: Glad you did not lose power! Hope not much was damaged in the wind and that your doctor's appointment went well.
SUSI: I am excited for you and Lily! I hope you all bond and are happy together! You are right that the reset button is there for me and I have done just that!
BEE: Hooray for wrinkles on your left knee...right?
MJ: Wise to have the YM who want the water pack pay for it...they will definitely take better care of it, I am sure.
BECKY: I hope you rest well and wake refreshed and that pain is minimal or non-existent!
LADONNA: I hope you had a good day and rest well overnight.

Today is Son#1's 45th birthday. How did he get so old?
Today will be a mixed-up day - a lot of small tasks that hopefully will not expand past the time allotted <haπ ha π€£ haπha>. I am up WAY too early, so there really ought to be a nap...
Toots' rollover from his employer-based 401K to Santander is in process (via phone call while we were at the bank with the financial advisor). Mine is more complicated but I am working on it (a multi-step process <sigh>). So Phase ONE of Toots&Diva's Great Retirement Plan should be settled by the first week of December. Then we'll meet with Joe P to set up each IRA and discuss distributions (we have until age 72, if we want to wait that long).
We came home, I did the one on-line 401K daily transaction that I was permitted, we had lunch, and then headed to the grocery store. I will NEVER AGAIN, if I can help it, go to the grocery past noon - the register lines were outrageous and it's not even Thanksgiving Week. But we got a good haul (no ShopRite canola spray yet π§) and we're set pretty much through Thanksgiving weekend. The best part was realizing that the 6/$6 sale on Progresso vegetable soups included Tuscan White Bean and Macaroni & Bean soups - good protein in them, so good for food pantry contributions.
That and a trip to Wells Fargo to pay the home equity loan was "enough for one day" so I still have a couple of things to get done with OUR November bills, and then have one session doing Russell's (last month it was more piecemeal; I'd pay stuff when it came in, so was spending more total time on his stuff than I want to, as Phase FOUR continues). We ended our day watching Bears/Vikings football.
Coffee's hot... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... I am not...
ππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦π Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦π
π©Russπ©Stuffπ© UPDATE: Yesterday we got a late-day letter from his Long-Term Care insurance, saying that Assisted Living IS (or at least can be) a covered service after all, but wanting documentation. The facility will NOT provide anything, so now I have to dig through and create the backup paperwork from the bills/lists of services they provide (since August 21). THIS was not on my list for this week. <meh>. I am praying for discernment as to how to address this in the most comprehensive yet efficient way possible.

Thanks for the start June. Have a wonderful day. Ann - Have a KOKO day MJ - That stinks that AL won't help you with the documentation. Glad you are getting your financial affairs in easier order. I consolidated as much as I can. The rest has to wait until I actually retire. LOL - My first reaction was at least it isn't the Kressling that is that old. Audrey - My heart breaks for you over this. What's sad is that they didn't offer an alternative. Glad everything else worked out well for you. Hi Becky. Hope the pain is subsiding. LOL on the wrinkled knee yesterday Bee. Cathy - I would look also at how much sodium may be involved. Thanks for the well wishes with Lily. I'm getting excited. My niece was disturbed by the pictures on FB of us with our friends Saturday night. There were only 6, we were outdoors, socially distanced except for the taking of the picture. But Jazz is now concerned about Carol coming up on Saturday to get her hair done and to see our nephew. The text she sent Carol sounds like she was talking to a 5 year old stating that we don't take the situation as seriously as we should and she will not be able to hug, etc. So Jazz, do you leave your clothes as the door after working with clients all day and sanitize and take a shower before you hold your son? And what about when he is at day care? Stop being a hypocrite. Protocols are followed where they are supposed to be. She has always been a bit of a bully - her way or the highway. Even with her mother. Yea, I'm very annoyed with her. Rant over. Today I have a hair appointment at 6 at my hairdresser's home. First time there so interesting. I finally have the inspection for my hot water heater tomorrow. The only thing is the time frame is 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and I know how my luck runs. LOL. I have half a day anyway and I'll take some work home and process payroll from home if necessary. Not sure how it will affect my WI
