Cathy, they did face time in July. She says they have trouble using the phone and they are nine and almost 11. Leo and Nora do it quite well at 8 and 5.
The hardest part is I donβt even know when she would have told us. We had been invited a few weeks ago.

Susi I know just what you mean. Have had that happen to me before where I felt like I was being talked DOWN TO or AT. No need of it and I don't blame you for being annoyed. I hope coming here and venting has helped (((hugs))) Enjoy getting pampered.
June good luck at the dentist.
Audrey again, so very sorry this is happening to you.
I skipped the walk with Carl and Lula...as I was getting ready I felt a bit 'off' and then got very light headed. It passed now but I will take it easy today for sure.
Will CBL.....

Quick ck in from my desk while I have a bite to eat. B/L is planned. Dinner up in the air as usual. I really could use some veggies. Church finance mtg via zoom at 6 PM. June, waving back Hope the dental cleaning goes well! I'm having to wait for mine post heart surg. Cant wait..lol. Ann, Yay for another good night of rest...me too I am happy to report Weather has finally turned cool here (again) but could warm back up and probably will. Who knows. Either way it is hard for me to get a walk in this time of year outside on work days. Need to do better with house walks. Hope the light headedness is gone. I get that way sometimes. Audrey, Big hugs. Vent with us when you need to. We are here for you. Cathy, Its not at all unusual for me to see a gain like that - It really jerks me back into reality though when I do. I'm sure its mostly water gain. Bee, great sign that you had wrinkles in your knees. so happy to get the report that all is well. MJ, so sorry you have to do the extra paper work - also saying a prayer that you find the best possible scenario. HBD to your son. Susi, sorry your niece is giving Carol a hard time. hopefully she will have calmed down some by the time the weekend arrives. Fingers crossed the inspection will go well! Becky, good to see you. hope your day is going well and as pain free as possible Pam, waving

LaDonna I know what you mean about getting in walking. Some days just get away from you. Happy you also slept well. It truly does make a world of difference. Hope the zoom finance meeting goes well.
I didn't accomplish much today. All I can say is TG for Carl that has no problem stepping up to the plate. He is out now walking LuLa...I just don't feel up to par to go. The dizziness is better...but still there at times. I plan on sitting on sectional for the rest of the day and just reading or napping.
Wishing all a wonderful rest of your day and will talk to y'all in the a.m.
Prayers continue for all.

Susi, we were just talking about this in the morning, how people react differently to the virus. A friend mentioned how online photos of the fashion show have unmasked people in them but I explained that we were at car tables with two at a table and once you are drinking water or wine and eating the snacks provided you take your mask off. Your niece is a bully.
What I did this morning: Do you livered beer and salami plus a box to Rob ( Russ should call me) Got a manicure and pedicure and saw a friend there who just recovered from a terrible case of shingles that was on her head and even In an eye. She has an auto immune disease and this all began with extreme stress in October. Picked up my clothes that she goes and ran into three friends including the one who carries her beagle Chihuahua puppy with her everywhere in a tote bag. Dropped off earrings to be repaired at the jewelers. Picked up an auction item I bought for Nora for her March birthday through the Saint Agnes Hospital online auction. It is a pink china fancy Nancy tea set and tea book in a wicker basket. That was all before noon now I am waiting for the heater repair man to come and I have a 2 oβclock telehealth appointment with the oncologist. .

Audrey I'm glad you got your shopping done ahead of time.I am so sorry about Rachel uninviting you.(((hugs)))
Bee Glad the swelling in your knee went down.Continued prayers for you.
Cathy Good goals. That is not a real gain. The pain is not as bad but I have also scaled down my step goal.Hopefully that will help.
MJ HBD to son#1.LOL on how he got that old.I would much rather buy groceries in the morning so I know what you mean.Prayers you can get documents for LTC.
Thanks Susi.It is still painful but not as bad as yesterday. The nice weather has been helping I think.Thirties in the morning and mid 70's in the afternoons.I know you must really be getting excited about getting Lily home for Thanksgiving.I feel so bad about how your niece is treating you and Carol.Enjoy your haircut.
June Hope your cleaning went well.
Ann It was wise to skip the walk. Hope you feel better now.I had been feeling light headed and tired the last few days so I decided to skip my anti-inflammatory today and while I'm still a little tired I haven't felt light headed.I may quit taking it unless I'm in too much pain.
LaDonna Glad you can do the church financial meeting on Zoom.
Audrey I'm tired reading all you did today.LOL. You got a lot done.Good for you having the energy to do it.

about Covid So much of this moment in time is difficult, and even more so as the Covid wave rises. It is very likely to magnify our basic personality traits-- for good or bad.
I confess that I have to put on a tinfoil hat. Otherwise my head & heart hurts too much. Locally, I see signs of the TP disappearing in the a few stores. No shelves were empty, but there were spaces or nearly empty pallets.
I think though, we negotiate in our heads what is safe, where we can take a risk, andhow much accumulative risk we can take. We look at someone and ask how much exposure have they had at work, church, social gatherings, and so on. We do notlookat FB posts or conversations the same way. The results are imperfect, if not, goofy. It is sad. I have undertaken a few extra shopping trips to buy some sales and pick up things like a contactless thermometer. I know that Ihavebeen out& aboutmore than my DS or SIL. So I try not to mention some of the trips. That said, I have no health issues and they do. So....

Audrey That is too.bad about FT. Girlfriend, you were a whirlwind! Becky Glad that you are very aware and take actions whensomething feels off. Wishing you good walkingweather so you can enjoy the ones thatyou do take. Ann Do you still feel dizzy? Or did that pass? Yay for Carl. Susi No one appreciates being bossed around. Family visits are tricky things right now. We took a risk seeingmy nephew, his wife & baby. I would have preferred that they wore masks at our home. But they did not. I wore a mask no one else did. I left it at that Bee How are you feeling today? LaDonna When will you have the cleaning? Mine went well. Hope that you get sometasty roasted vegetables soon! Maybesomecarrots?
