I have been reading like crazy and kind of letting things go. Keeping up with the laundry and dish washer and that is about it , today I am going to run the sweeper on the carpeted areas and that is most of the house. Last night I dry swiffered the kitchen floor but after I make the apple dumplings I plan to wet Swiffer it. Calli needs to help it is mostly her fuzzy fur. She is a calico but it seems to be all the blonde fur from her belly.
Be prepared, That new Cormoron Strike novel is a big heavy book literally. I am now in the middle of it but still have not found a comfortable way to hold it while reading it. Certainly cannot lay on couch to read!! This cold case is a doozy. I am enjoying it a lot and in the bargain, getting muscles in my arms. LOL

Thrillers & Suspense
Television producer Laurie Moran and her fiancée, Alex Buckley, the former host of her investigative television show, are just days away from their mid-summer wedding, when things take a dark turn. Alex’s seven-year-old nephew, Johnny, vanishes from the beach. A search party begins and witnesses recall Johnny playing in the water and collecting shells behind the beach shack, but no one remembers seeing him after the morning. As the sun sets, Johnny’s skim board washes up to shore, and everyone realizes that he could be anywhere, even under water.
A ticking clock, a sinister stalker, and fresh romance combine in this exhilarating follow up to You Don’t Own Me—another riveting page-turner from Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke.

Does Mother Know Best?
A new mother becomes convinced that her children are not her own…
Lauren, a new mother, is exhausted by the demands of her twin boys. Since coming home from the hospital, she rarely leaves the house. But it isn't only new motherhood keeping her there. Lauren knows someone is watching them and someone wants her babies. It started with an incident at the hospital and an emergency call in the middle of the night. No one believes her—not her husband, not the police—until one day in the park when everything changes. Is Lauren mad or does she know something no one else does? A gripping novel that gets to the heart of a mother’s worst fears, and how often they are completely dismissed and ignored.
Soon to be a motion picture!
