What can you do today to mange or lose your weight? to stay healthy?
The red fox is in honor of the beautiful specimen we saw in our back yard.๐ฆ We both laughed and said the same thing at the same time. "Do you remember when the neighbor on the corner tried raise free-range chickens?" Uhm. . . Neither one of us were surprised that they slowly "disappeared."
sleep well my friends

Thanks for the start and fox story, June ๐ค. Thursday I shall PTMH and I also need to hit Tractor Supply for LuLa's food and also Walmart. That will be plenty to do in one day. It will also leave Friday to hit Hannaford's for a few sale items. Not a fan of weekend shopping with or without COVID.
Sweet dreams. ๐๐ค๐ โค

Hi all, Read Weds post but too tired to reply to all. I will answer Bee's question - The greens Randy cooked are cooked in water flavored with some evoo, chopped onions, salt, pepper, a little hot sauce, most likely some minced garlic and no telling what all he shakes in the pot to flavor them. He knows nothing too over the top or I won't eat them. I believe he puts a little vinegar in them as well but yes there is plenty of juice that would be great over cornbread. I've never heard of cooking them dry...if you get a chance let me know how you do that. Thursday will be KOKO. Rest well my friends.

LaDonna, thanks for Randyโs mustard greens recipe. Tune we also have foxes in our development but they are on the opposite side of where I live closest to the garbage cans for the country club. The club is on the San Joaquin River and mother foxes and their babies have found it a good place to find food. They are small kit foxes and almost extinct. I have seen them a few times when I have walked. Becky and Ann I hope you both get your shopping done.Yesterday I went into Walmart to get gift cards and Christmas wrapping items and I also had a small Walmart delivery to my house.Bob has a Costco list but I told him I refuse to go on a weekend with him.I would try for an off hour during the week. Today I will help Leo and stop at the nearby grocery store for bread and a few non perishable items for Thanksgiving. Dinner is roast chicken, asparagus and salads with roasted beets.

Leo has to write a five paragraph essay about a turkey who disguised himself to avoid being killed for Thanksgiving. He hand writes stories and books but this is supposed to be typed in Google documents. He is eight, in second grade and isnโt even with all the aspects of a keyboard. I showed him how to use capitals, space between sentences and paragraphs but didnโt even get to indentation.

I will:
* Track every BLT * Stick with power foods/Core plan eating * Hydrate * Walk 60 minutes
Scale: 174.8 so a drop of 3.2 pounds overnight...so...0.8 to go to get back to the lowest weight on this journey to goal BUT I am not thinking about THAT weight on the scale but instead the one I will be seeing a year from now
I had a message on Twitter from an author that sent me a book to read...a couple of weeks ago. I stayed up later than planned to read and review it and posted in the wee hours of the morning. I hate putting authors off but sometimes, if I have the book and it won't disappear, I read the ones that will disappear before the ones that won't.
BEE: Interesting about the liquid from greens. We don't usually drink it BUT if there is any liquid left when I have a bowl of greens with onion, lemon and olive oil I do drink it.
JUNE: You are correct in saying the mind is the best weight loss tool! I am thinking positive and not looking at ups as negatives...just information. My daughter is looking forward to the end of the semester and is glad she was allowed to teach online this semester as the learning curve of HOW to do it is behind her while her coleauges are facing the HOW TO after Thanksgiving when it all goes online. She said it has some of the students in a tizzy that are from out of state but there are plans in place for them so...hope all will go well. We have jackals and wild dogs that are tossed by owners. Some have taken our chickens in the past. It is sad to see the starving abandoned dogs I loved seeing the fox you posted and understand why free-range poultry might not be a good thing with foxes in the neighborhood!
ANN: I stayed up late last night and woke earlier than I hoped I would BUT it is what it is. I will no doubt make up for it another night. Glad you scored hot items at the store!
MJ: I hope that you can get the covid-19 test and that your Thanksgiving plans all work out. I think having a set meal once a week is a great thing...whatever it is! I am not sure I have ever made or eaten pot roast.
SUSI: We are out of tomatoes so m using sundried and tomato paste...don't want to go out JUST for tomatoes so we are making do. The tomato ricotta tart sounds tasty as do the sandwiches! I wonder what time the inspector showed up? Used to hate waiting and then be told that they would come...tomorrow...tomorrow seemed to take a week sometimes! Vertigo is not fun...is yours blood pressure, inner ear or other related?
AUDREY: How funny that some try to do "time away-meditation" at home and have so many interruptions. It is true, though, in a house where there is more than one in the household... If you don't accept substitutions on your order and they don't have the larger can of tuna that you want will they contact you saying so and offer something else? Leo has to type a five paragraph story? YIKES! I didn't take typing till high school! I am sure that keyboard use begins earlier these days but...oh my! I am glad you were there to help out!
PAM: Love your positive posts!
BECKY: I won't even go to a friend's house and sit outside so can see why you would avoid gatherings. I wanted popcorn last night, went to make some and realized that I had not purchased any thought I was SURE I had. Need to put it on the shopping list for next time!
LADONNA: I didn't see Bee's comment about cooking greens dry BUT my husband will either boil greens and serve with garlic or onion, lemon and olive oil OR wash, chop and add to onions fried till light brown and cook over low fire till they are "done" - Sometimes when cooking them this way we add in bulgur that has been rehydrated or with fennel greens it is black eyed peas.

Good morning all. Another good sleeping night. Cathy I fell asleep on the couch and it was 1:45 a.m. when I went to bed! I do feel refreshed so it's all good. Good goals for today and fantastic weight loss You'll be back where you started from in no time. Wow Audrey...that's a tall order for Leo! TG he has your devoted help. Your supper sounds delish. LaDonna I'll join you in KOKO. Becky is the Vet far from you? Your post made me check LuLa's supply. Happy to say we are all set in that area Waving and wishing all a good OP and peaceful day.

Gooood morning
Becky Hope you getScooter's med situated. Do you have any other chores to do when you are in town?
Ann Ha ha ha. . . When I read that you were going to Tractor Supply. . . I thought that " ooooh they always have some neat thing." Also We pop in there when we went some home repair or maintenance item to avoid HDepot one WM.
Audrey Dinner sounds delicious. We rarely see a fox since we keep our back property in its natural state except for a trail or two. Critters though like to use the trails and cut through the small open area where the old barn was. Our foxes are fast! Good that you can help Leo break down the assignment.
Cathy Yipppppee! Great attitude! The big picture is the most complete one. I started an YA book that seems promising, "Goddess in the Machine."
Sometimes my DH's family added red pepper flakes or red pepper to their greens.
LOL. . . I am clutching & shifting to hit 5th gear to get to the end of the semester. i hope that your daughters' colleagues get some support. They will need it. Here's my approach: I will start w/ the most basic module and then build out as my mental energy allows. I think we will will look at the concept of "Chiamerica."

Thursday's goal Enjoy a walk outside. Chat w/ you all this morning. Get that 5th gear in gear. I have a plan. It is doable. And I can soon look back on the semester knowing that I as the British say "just got on with it."
Please pray for my relative. She is a hospital nurse. It's is a living nightmare for her.
Waving "hi" and wishing everyone well..

LOL June yes there is always something different to see at Tractor Supply. They used to have a nice selection of Women's shoes but no longer carry them. On occasion they will have boots and rain gear. They only have Men's shoes now. LOL I add crushed red pepper to a lot of things. Love hot and spicy Great goals. My day is planned...just need to get in into the tracker and on paper. Coffee time!

Good morning, June - Ann - Becky - LaDonna - Audrey - Cathy - Bee - Susi - Pam - and AWF!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid...
And prayers for June's relative, the nurse... and for all health care professionals who have been thrust back onto the front lines...

Today I need to cancel the Covid testing appts we made for Saturday (someone else will be glad to see them available, I'm sure!). We got ours done at the walk-in place and should have the results by tomorrow. The Tag Team of Toots & Diva made the tech laugh a lot during the paperwork and testing so we did our mitzvah (good deed) for the day. And Toots decided that I need to try Voltaren for my wrists so we got a tube.
After lunch & Toots' nap (I got involved on the computer and didn't nap ๐คจ) we headed for Son#1's and worked in the Zigster's room. Closet doors are hung and the edges touched up. Two cordless mini-blinds plus the double window cornice are hung. And we've asked the Zigster to consider his furniture arrangement (where the bed will go). Today we'll go over and move his (full-size, adult) armoire and put the doors on, and perhaps also bring up the second repurposed nightstand from the garage (one went up to the Kressling's digs).
The pot roast turned out really well and we have enough for two more meals. Tonight we'll have individual chicken casseroles made with the L/O chicken breast.
Dentist for me at 10:45 AM for the cleaning I "missed" in the summer. Making a list of more small things that I could clear away. Maybe starting on a packing list for Woodloch. It's beautiful and sunny outside, though, and I plan to enjoy it.
Coffee's hot... โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ... good thing, 'cause it's COLD outside (28* here in NJ)...
๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ฆ๐

I'll come back for personals later. More work than expected in the office this morning.
Still having some minor vertigo issues so decided piyo was not the best choice this morning. It usually goes away in a couple of day so I'll just do the best I can. My company is sponsoring COVID testing on Monday so I am going to get tested, not that I feel the need to. After I finished work yesterday, I ran to the supermarket, pet store (going out of business and Lily's special dog food was on sale for $12 less than any other source) and moved up my nail appointment to yesterday. I have the derm on Friday and have a feeling that I won't get out in time for the appointment I had scheduled since this is not a routine visit. Caught up on NCIS last night. WI was up 2 lbs. Not surprising as I had a glass of milk and lots of water before WI which I don't normally do.

Susi hope the vertigo passes. Good luck on the COVID testing. Yeah to Lily's food being on sale. Always a plus. At least you know where the gain came from.
I've been playing telephone tag with our oil company and trying to get the payoff amount on our car loan. All I can say is TG for speaker phone!!!!!
