This is a thread devoted to those in their 50s & 60s and beyond who don't have children or grandchildren but live rich, full lives. Please feel free to join our stroll thru life and come back often for support and to share. ************************************************** I saw Jupiter and Saturn above and to the left of the crescent moon last night. So pretty! Tonight they will be lower and to the right. I don’t have the camera equipment for a good picture.

Thanks for the start, Chele. I'm not surprised on the increase in the price of the bread you noted. I have noticed most items increasing in price and fewer items on BOGO. The crescent moon really was pretty last night. It peaked behind a ridge mid evening and we didn't see it again. How are the weather-related issues today? I still have a nagging headache but life goes on. It got to freezing here this morning and the air is really dry. Not particularly comfortable.
Becky, only 105 active cases is a level I wish we were at here. Our positivity rate yesterday and again today was over 17%. Thanks for the info on the canceled games. So far as I know, Tennessee will still be playing Auburn on Saturday. 30s for lows is where we are. That's pretty cold for you. But then I have been in Austin in early December and had it be that cold.
The recipes sound good, Linda. Sorry you're having so many issues with the flooring, and I totally understand how you want to get them in and out as quickly as possible. The election situation is so many states is such a mess and it's just delaying the inevitable. In the meantime, he seems to be willing to make things such a mess that Biden will never be able to fix everything he has intentionally broken.
Kathy, you do a lot with your Echo/Alexa. Do you leave it on all the time or just when you need it? Do you have to call her Alexa or can you change the name to what you want? I pull up Google Maps a lot when I'm going to an area where I haven't been before.
I hope you'll have next week off, Liz. How are things with Zoe?
Denise, do you have the weekend off? Will you have Thanksgiving off or will it be an OT opportunity for you?
Osteo went ok, as did the gym. I picked up a few things at Target (we don't have one locally) and dropped off 4 boxes to Operation Christmas Child and had a chance to talk with a fellow MG who coordinates the program for our county. We haven't seen each other since pre-Covid and have only talked a few times since then. Knees are bothering me a bit but I'm not as sore and tired as usual. Maybe my body is starting to adapt. I have a Zoom tomorrow but not much else on the agenda.

Karen, I am happy Osteo and gym did not make you as tired and sore as usual.
I got my hair cut in a short shaggy bob and I love it. Short means more gray shows. 🧑🏼🦳😁
Tomorrow is a checkup for the nodes. Time to get my eyes dilated. 🤨 I will be useless for hours. Glad I downloaded some podcasts.
Waving to the gang. Have a good evening.

Chele, nice to see the planets! I don't have the camera equipment for that either, but once in awhile I've managed to get a decent shot of just the moon. I did a grocery order today and prices are definitely increasing. The paper shortage has arrived here and most of the paper towels and TP were gone. They got more in today before I ordered, so I got a large package of paper towels. I have more TP than I've ever had at one time in my life, so I think I'm good there. They only did one minor substitution, so everything else seemed to be in stock. Good luck at the doctor tomorrow.
Karen, I leave my Echos on, but you can easily turn them off. I do use them a lot. The default name is Alexa and I think you can only change it to Echo or Computer. Computer was a request from the Trekkies. Glad you had a good session at Osteo and the gym. Hope your headache goes away soon. I saw the latest where Trump has invited MI lawmakers to meet with him in the hopes that they'll bypass what the voters said and select the electors themselves. This doesn't even seem legal. I just looked at our county numbers and we're at a positivity rate of 7.9%. Not good, but not as bad as your area.

I still have to do Toys for Tots...rest is done. Good luck on the eye test.
if you think the damage he is doing for Biden to fix is bad, wait until you catch up with the Iran thing and the people he just put into military who want to attack before inauguration and start war for Biden to inherit. Scorched earth guy
Had stuff to get for Thanksgiving and stuff Bob likes that I can only get at regular supermarket, so I went between 2-3 when there is a lull...east to avoid people. Shopped with an eye to not getting there again for a long time. I am going to have to severely cut back on going out soon...already have started.

Thanks for the start Chele.I heard we might have a chance to see it tonight.I'm glad you like your haircut.Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.
Karen I'm sorry you still have a nagging headache. That low rate is just for Bastrop County.Travis County cases continue to rise so they went back to level 4(orange)and Williamson County is going to level 5(red).People are wearing masks and distancing for the most part in Bastrop County which is why ours is lower I'm sure.It only got down in the 50's this morning and 82 for a high. They said we will have warmer than average highs through the end of the month. As long as it doesn't get out of the low 80's I can take that.
Both of the cats are finally using their beds.I guess they finally got it down.
