I will PTMH. Dinner outside was wonderful last night. We were under a huge tent and tables were spaced very far apart.I could feel the breeze from the outside air as well as the heat from the portable heaters. Bob said he felt very comfortable.I had a kale salad and my main course was Maryβs organic chicken but the splurge was truffle fries which were amazing in the first time I had ever ordered them. Another splurge was a blood orange Cosmopolitan.I have cocktails about three times a year and I think this was the third time for this year.I knew the restaurant had an amazing mixologist and I would not be disappointed. Bob had an arugula salad and the lamb tagliatelle which she always orders there and a blueberry cobbler for dessert. If it is the last supper for outdoor dining it was definitely well worth it. I have the leftover entire chicken breast and wing for lunch since the portion was a half of a small chicken. Today we are going grocery shopping at Trader Joeβs and the market and I hope to watch some football in the afternoon. Dinner tonight is takeout from the Greek fest in the main course is lamb shank. What are your plans for the weekend? ..

Good morning
Audrey Thanks for the start. Lovely meal. Glad that you enjoyed the experience.
Cathy Never sure why the nights are harder, but they are. Do what you can to make today better. Whatever the scale reads today, you know it it not a true weight.

Saturday's goals Enjoy my morning tea & chat w/ you. May make a spinach quiche for lunch or dinner. Always very pretty. Roasting a pan of vegetables-- including carrots.
A Covid-19 case reported at mom's nursing home. So all residents isolated in their rooms. Not sure how much different this is than normal other than Mom was supposed to get PT for back pain. Grateful that mom is in her own room with her own comfy recliner and books, puzzles, & nice TV. Grateful that we can window visit with her.
Waving hi to all. I will read yesterday's later posts & try to pop back later.
Lots of class work to do. At least I have a fair start on the module that is 100% new. The other class's module needs to to be retooled a bit. Am chipping away at end of the semester work. π€
π For all and many good wishesπ
Looking forward to watching some of the Oh. State game.

Good morning all. Another good sleeping night. Just loving it!
Today I shall continue to PTMH. Going to be nice weather so I'll get out and enjoy it.
June you have great goals in place. Love quiche. Praying that all will b well with DM. It's a comfort, I bet, knowing that she is in her own room surrounded by a lot of distractions to keep her busy. Enjoy a nice window visit. Hope the end of the semester work goes well for you.
Cathy nights happen. I know you will turn the beat around today. Hang in there.
Audrey your night sounded perfect. Wonderful choices. I've never had that type of drink before but it sure sounds tasty. Happy you and Bob felt safe and enjoyed the evening. Thanks for the start. Good luck with your TJ and market shopping.
Waving and wishing all a happy Saturday.

Audrey - Sounds like a wonderful meal. I'm sure the martini was awesome. I'm overdue for a lamb shank but it will have to wait until after Thanksgiving. Hope you find what you need at Trader Joe's Cathy - It happens. Just pick yourself up and dust yourself off June - Enjoy that tea. Quiche sounds good. My heirloom tomato ricotta tart is essentially a quiche. Very comforting. Hope mom remains safe in her own room surrounded by her stuff. Enjoy the window visit. Hope you get the school work out of the way quickly. Ann - Hope your day remains beautiful and you can enjoy the outdoors. Ferals are fed. May try a quick nap before spin. Going out to lunch with Cheryl and have worked either a Guinness or glass of wine into the plan. Otherwise I will be taking care of Frankie while Carol is up at our niece's to get her hair done and spend time with Torin.

Good morning, Audrey - Cathy - June - Ann - Susi - Becky - Bee - LaDonna - Pam - and AWF!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid...
Asking for a few prayers for Toots' DBigSis (Laraine, age 74). She went to the ER yesterday afternoon and was admitted (details below). There's no news yet this morning (9 AM). We are mightily concerned, since she seems to always wait on "not feeling well" until it is a serious situation.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
I'm starting slowly today, and that's OK. It's sunny and mild (50*s-60*s) and no rain in the forecast until Sunday night. We'll get some time in the sunshine, for sure.
I think that mixed in with the CinderElla/Fella tasks of today we will spend some time looking at the calendar for the weeks to come. It will not be a holiday/hollyDaze season like past years, but what I remembered (π§ epiphany! π€©) is that we - Toots & I and our Big'Uns and Littl'Uns - have made adjustments before (like all those years of music ministry and gigging out, or last year when MissMouse had to cancel on KressMess Eve and the party moved to Son#1's in just a few hours). We'll sketch out Plans A, B, C, and <OMG> as we have done in previous years, and the coming weeks will still be memorable.
Banking-wise, Toots now has an IRA money market account and I have a new MasterCard. Both of those things were "on our list" as we lay out our own financial plans. We spent quite a bit of time with our "personal banker" - a very sweet and competent young lady with a great fondness for things-pink (we were randomly chatting while waiting for the computer to process something and I shared my fondness for fuchsia...). We also <finally!> FedExed the check deposit and savings bonds to the Lakeland Bank branch at Cedar Crest for processing. No branch near here, and we are NOT going up there.
We got the blinds up for K'ling2 and the outlet-plugs behind his and the Zigster's bed (Son#1's request). The shelf in the Zigster's armoire is securely in place. I'm going to ask DDIL in what order she wants the rest of the blinds replaced, and we'll keep that project on our Something We Might Do Today list.
So far, we are still tracking to go to Woodloch so we'll be making our lists and checking them twice. We need to review their pandemic protocols as we pack, to be sure we're prepared for things they've had to change.
Coffee's especially nice this morning... βοΈβοΈβοΈ...
ππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦π Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦πππ¦π
Consolidation of text messages from DBabySis starting at 3:18 PM yesterday: "Laraine is in Perth Amboy hospital. Her sugar is high (note: she is insulin-dependent diabetic). She had dry heaves yesterday and today, no appetite. Thirsty, mouth is dry. Not really having a temp. Went as high as 100*. Her primary said to go to hospital to get blood work. They are admitting her, saying she seems to have an infection... Laraine is in the regular ER. They are waiting for paperwork to decide to put her in the Covid wing or regular wing upstairs. They are going to do an MRI of her GI."

MJ, prayers for Larraine. An online friendβs father had a stroke yesterday and her mother called her before she called 911.The EMTs though and stroke team came immediately to his house and my husband feels that is what has saved his life so far. Life is so fragile and we just have to enjoy the time we have doing the things we love with the people we love. Suzanne and it sounds like you both will have a great day. Tune I wish Bob liked quiche because I canβt eat an entire one by myself and I really enjoy it. So happy your momβs living situation is so good and window visits are welcomed. Hi to everyone else. On FB I encouraged people to call a friend not part of their close circle but someone they really like. I did that last week and it was good for both of us. One just had hip surgery and her close circle is taking care of her since she is widowed and her daughter started a new job. I also called a friend who has moved into a beautiful new home on the opposite side of our development. We have volunteered together in mini groups and her daughter and my son were in kindergarten at the same time. Those babies are now 40. Bob is playing an album released today on Spotify called Relaxed Thanksgiving with Vivaldi.

Prayers for Laraine. Hope you get an update soon but things always seem to be slower on a weekend. Glad you have the distraction of doing for DaBoyz and getting your personal finances in order. Mine are in order until I retire. I'm old enough to collect full SS survivor benefits and still collect my salary. I'm using that to pay off my mortgage. When that is done (20 months), I'll look at when I really want to retire. Audrey - Love Vivaldi, especially Four Seasons. I always played that and Segovia at Easter dinner.

MJ keeping Laraine in my prayers. Wise of you to check on new ruling re: Woodloch. Things keep on changing daily. Glad the banking is one and done.
Audrey love that music by Vivaldi. Keeping your online friend's dad in my prayers.
Susi nice that you can collect your full SS...both Carl and I took ours as soon as we could...I believe it was 62!
Nice and sunny out there. I've been busy doing laundry and prepping food for the week ahead. With Thanksgiving I want to be prepared ahead of time so that I don't snack away the days LOL. I made hummus and applesauce. Now going to read a bit.
Later.......

Jumping back on
Bee Fantastic! Love hating that you are rebuilding the strength in your legs. Ann Hope your produce run to Hannford's got you restocked with all you right favorites.
Audrey That's a lot of Christmas cards! What can we say. . . Those husband's have minds of their own. Have you ever thought about doing a crustless quiche in a ramekin? Mine was very tasty!
Becky Did the oils help your knees? Hope so. A good friend who teaches at T Am said his school' will not return to campus for in-person classes. Wondered if that was happening across Texas.
Cathy Sent you some extra vibes & prayers for a good day.
Pam Hope that you had a good day. Know that you are smiling and doing what you can.
LaDonna Agreed. Six weeks is a long time. R explained to me that those programs usually do involve the owners at the end. I would miss that little stinker when she I saw gone. Did you shop? I need to get to the store to buy a new flat iron. That are get my hair cut shorter. Susi Very glad to hear that the mole was beign. Best to remove any mole that rubs. I wondered if the tomato tart was similar to a quiche. I apdecorate the top of my quiche with sliced tomato
Being dyslexic I need to let materials set and proofread one more time. Otherwise there are small mistakes. But I figured that many will not look at the module until it is time to do the assignments. So I can still do the final proof on Mon or Tues
Mj Many prayers for the DaBidSis. Poor Toots. His older sibs do not make the days easy. Hope that the paperwork is in order. NH work at their own pace. Or so I have discovered.
Great to get so much accomplished for the bedroom make overs.
My day so far has been okay.
Watched the Oh St gam while baking a quiche, cleaning up the kitchen, & folding laundry. Wild game. At times it looked like Indiana could have won it .
Got a call from niece in NY so will have to visit mom tomorrow. We talked for over an hour.
Snagging another tea and heading either back to my study or working on stuff while on the couch.

June I hope you can get some June time in your day. Bet that extra cup of tea is soothing.
I did odds and ends today and mostly just kicked back and spoke with a dear friend earlier.
Now it's just about time to take LuLa in the back yard to do her thing and sniff around. Then we'll have supper.
Will try to pop in later.

Ann - I couldn't take it before my full retirement age since I am working full time. Glad you are relaxing. June - Don't work too long. The restaurant was on the boardwalk and since it was such a beautiful day, there were lots of people out walking. Lunch was delicious, company was excellent and the people watching was lots of fun.
