This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and happy Saturday to all!
Not much news from here. Looks to be a normal Saturday for us.
Jill - my DH is also O Neg, so I understand about getting the call for blood, platelets, plasma - or whatever the current need is. Pajama day sounds like fun! Do you have classes next week? Or do you guys get the the whole week off? Will all of your kiddos be home for T.giving? I'm sorry if you've already mentioned that and I missed it.
Janet - I hope you're able to get tested and get your results quickly. Waiting around and not knowing must make even a short time feel like an eternity. Is your sister shopping for you because you have to isolate until you get test results? It seems like the policies and recommendations are so different everywhere, it's hard to keep up.
It kind of took me forever to post this because right in the middle I got distracted by spotting some beautiful pink clouds. I don't get to see the beauty of the sunrise very often, so I stepped outside to enjoy that. It was cold, so I didn't stay out there too terribly long. Ha! I took a couple of pictures, but I don't think they do it justice. I might post them anyway though. Lol
I hope that everybody has a safe and happy weekend. I'm sure I'll be popping back by later. Sending hugs an warm wishes out to all.

It's almost time to switch from my everyday anxiety to my fancy Christmas anxiety.

Good morning!
Lora, yes, (I am not sure if I mentioned it) the kids will be here and my son's best friend who's been a part of our family for years. He moved out a few months ago, but had lived with us for years. I loved your pink cloud picture, so pretty.
Janet, yikes! I hope your testing goes smoothly. Hang in there. Sorry about the closure bit. What international coffee flavor do you like? I haven't had that in years, and I love it so much!
So glad it's Saturday. I had a great WI today... I stayed the same. If I can get a few weeks of staying the same then I'll change it again and lose the last 10 that I'd like to get rid of. I think I am finding for me it's not a balance within the day but rather within the week. So I will have some lower calorie days, some days with exercise, some normal days, and a bigger day.
I am going to read some articles online before DH wakes up, then we'll be off for Ocala.

Hi Everyone, Jill, I like the Cafe Francais flavor. They have 2 types of that flavor but I prefer the kind that is not the vanilla flavored one. I tried to schedule one test that isn't too far from me. They didnt have any appointments now and to check back. There is another one but it seems to involve more of a cost. If not I'll wait until the one on Wednesday but it is more of a drive to get there but free. Cassie cutie is keeping me company of course. I have a book that I started and need to do some vacuuming and continue to declutter. That is really about it. Nothing truly really exciting. Have a good day!!

Jill - Aww. Nice that you'll all get to be together for the holiday. Safe travels to you and DH today. It's a good thing he's doing. Congrats on your WI.
Janet - Is the Wednesday free test at the location your agency is recommending? If so, then I'd probably wait for that one too. I keep hearing that some of these places are more of a "fly by night" pop testing centers are not entirely reliable as far as results go. So I'm thinking it might be better to use the place your employer is recommending...plus FREE! Lol

Good Morning Everyone... I got up pretty early (for me..5:20) and came out to the family room and read a little (and fell asleep for a little bit too - ha). Today DD and her DBF are traveling from Boston...YIPPEE! They will probably have to make one or two gas and potty stops - she is really careful and when she arrives will take off all of her clothes and throw them in the washer. I think they both had Covid tests before leaving just to be sure (although they really don't go out much). We are supposed to have dinner this evening with DS, DDIL, and DGS since they will not be here for Thanksgiving. I am scheduled to go to the clubhouse in 15 minutes to work with one other person to decorate the tree. We are scheduled in 3 shifts of two people (in masks) with 15 minute intervals (for cleaning anything we touched)...so pretty safe there.
Lora - I must to to FB and look at your pics. Last night I was feeling kind of down and walked outside and looked at the sky...wow, the stars were amazing...perked me right up! Oh....had to laugh at the quote today !!
Janet - hope all goes well with the test... DH had to have one and got the results (NEG) in 15 minutes and it was all done with him staying in the car...so I hope yours is that quick with those results too!! His was right outside the Drs office and he had a fever so had to have the test before he could even go inside.
Jill - you are doing great with your weight loss! Ha - that was funny that you remembered drinking the International Coffee Janet mentioned as I did too...I wasn't crazy about it, but it was an interesting treat occasionally.
OK...must run...bbl

Susie - I find a little star gazing to be both calming and energizing at the same time. It definitely reminds me of what a small piece of the big ol' puzzle that I am. I think that often helps to put my problems, stressors and worries into perspective as well. Enjoy your time with family this evening. Are they all coming to you or are you meeting them at DSs house or I suppose you might be headed out on the town. Whichever it is, enjoy!

Well I may continue to check but know that the Wed test site is available. I just want to make sure that I dont need an appointment first although it says walk up testing is available but called and left a message and also waiting to see if I get an answer from our family worker. I cleaned out my refrigerator that I have been wanting to tackle. Some stuff definitely needed to be trashed. I wiped down the shelves especially the side shelves where I put my condiments. I left a text message for my friend's son in law. He or his wife hasn't spoken to her since she was transferred but I don't know if she told her the name of the place for sure but I think she did. If they had any interest they could have called and asked for her number so it's really a shame but she has never called them either.

Lora - DH and I are going to ODD's house (the one I walk with in the mornings). She is the one with my 3 DGDs and only lives about 3 minutes from me...eventually there will be a path from my neighborhood to hers. YDD from Boston and her boyfriend is staying with her this trip. We have been successful at transfering most holiday gatherings to her house these days. I will no doubt go over Tues and Wed to help prepare things and just hang out with my DDs! My DSon is going to Florida to spend the holiday with his in-laws, so we are spending this evening with him and DGS...actually, he only lives about 5 minutes away, so I am very fortunate with my two oldest kids....just wish DD wasn't in Boston.
Janet - it is so sad that neither your DF's daughter nor her SIL has contacted her....do they not get along? She is lucky to have you, but you cannot be there forever.

Hello ROs,
Just jumping on here....I am at the station, and we got busy right away. Listening to the calls throughout the county, Covid is everywhere, and it is scary out here. My calls have been all covid related with varying complaints. I won't be seeing my DDs this week. I don't think they are going to be doing anything outside of their own homes, because we are all being really careful, and this spike is unbelievable. I'm just going to stay home and have a guilt-free day off, with no cooking or cleaning.
Lora, I enjoyed the sunrise photos. Nice to start a morning like that!
Jill have a safe trip. Hope you get some papers graded.
Janet, enjoy your sweet Cassie!
Susie, you have lots of family time to look forward to. Enjoy!
I am going to get going and finish up some paperwork. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Waving to all,
RobinMD
