Carole: How nice to get some rest and wake up to those two cuties in your house! Loved the pictures of their chalk art on the driveway. Sounds like you are ready for the pie-making extravaganza! It will be nice to know that you still have a few days off afterward, won't it? LOL, thinking about Ken not checking the lights before hanging them...one year DH hung the lights (from ON the roof and found that one of the strings was completely backwards...he had the "female" end of the cord and needed the "male".....UUGHH. AND, I had to get up there the next day, take it down and switch it. Yes, those "be prepared" light stories are in every house I think! DH is so good at so many other "fix it" things though -- I can't complain. DS26 is here now borrowing a drill to put on some handles (kitchen cabinets) and a few other things....I hope the he picks up on some of those things from his dad like your kids have. I'm still shaking my head that "sick days" count as "days off" come December. Just make them all use or lose days for ANYTHING and let people use them all year---then they won't pile up and, if people run out, it is their own doing. Hope that it translates to less drama in your work area though No matter what, we know that Patti would be part of your TG...I can't imagine it being any other way. I am sure that she must be conscious of the safety with her mom and all...hope that today is a good day!

Christine: So glad that you are making your work-at-home plan! I forgot about your "office" being occupied though...are you going to have to use the dining room table? If so, can you get a better chair or something to make it more comfortable? In some ways, I wouldn't mind being at home more this time of year when it is cold and all....but I don't have as many people in my house to deal with like you do. Good for you for having a plan though! Have things been finalized for Thanksgiving? I am trying to remember if you were doing to be dispersing. Hope that you have a good day today and start tomorrow off feeling like you have a plan for the work time.
Hello to all who follow. I need to fix some lunch and get moving around here...I want to polish the floors too but I need to chase DH out of here to do that and it is proving to be a challenge. Hope that you all have a good day...will pop in tomorrow!

Guess it is only late afternoon but supper time for me....the pork is done in the crockpot and now I have the air fryer preheated and sweet potato fries are going....set for 18 minutes and should beep to "shake" the basket 1/2 way through...this is my first experience with fries and the "shake" feature so will see how it goes!
Got an email earlier from Hannah with some articles on the safety of the airplane air quality and that has never been my issue....again I felt like crap and I told her how her comments on my paint night being the same as flying to see her made me feel. I asked Jason how he felt about my paint nights and he said "fine, I was surprised Hannah said that"....I told him what I wrote to her and he agreed it was spot on....she has her neighborhood friends, while it's not the same, you can see "friends" every day in her driveway if she wants....me, I have work and that's it.....everyone needs a "circle" at this point and for me, the girls I paint with are my circle!
Gabrielle...sounds like an inside day is a better option for today....I thought it felt raw and cold outside but Jason said it was actually OK once he got moving....only about 50° most of the day, now down to upper 40's and he just came in!
Will likely be an early night.....starting to fade! Will put the tree up after supper and will enjoy the peace and calming it brings!
See you all in the morning!
