Good morning all. Slept well and woke up to rain. Hopefully it tapers off as the day goes on.
Only thing on the agenda is taking miss LuLa to the Vet.
Will continue to reel myself in....I'm sure y'all can relate!
Wishing all a blessed OP day.

Hey Ann and all,
I did manage to get D&D out in the rain today - off the back deck. We have a fenced in backyard here which helps a lot with the rascal and his sister.
I'm listening to Jim Croce as I work. I always loved him and so sad he died so young. Like Harry Chapin. Loads of talent.
I brought up a little ceramic Christmas tree to keep by my home work area for some lights and colors! I bought this on our first Christmas in AZ and it always reminds me of one my mom had, too. Just a tiny bit of Christmas! I will put the tiny tree up later on. It's early but I need the boost now. I am feeiing very anxious lately. I think the move, the holidays, the increasing virus and DH's health have me in a bit of a spin.
I'll check in a bit later. Sue, I started your mystery on Lake Superior. It's a great page turner! Thanks for the escape recommendation.
TTFN...have a good one.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday!! We woke to quite cool temps in the 30's this morning. The snow from yesterday still lingers on the grassy areas somewhat. I am so glad I remade our bed yesterday, as I slept like a baby! I turned the heated mattress pad on a couple of hours before we planned to climb in, and then we turn it off when we actually get in. Otherwise, it will get too warm. The addition of the down-alternative-filled blanket just completed the perfect combination! I was comfortably warm and cozy all night and woke feeling refreshed this morning.
My first task was to obtain some hair gel (a specific kind called IC). I have bought it at Walgreen's Drugs for years, but thought I'd check online before venturing out. Well, Amazon had it available, but in a 2-pack. Walgreen's had it "out of stock" except for one nearby store. I tried to purchase it online for in-store pick-up, but after I filled out everything, it told me it could not process my request at this time. That made up my mind for me, and I went back and ordered it from Amazon - as I did not want to have to traipse through a store for one item. I paid a tiny bit more, but that's OK. Funny how our priorities change over time. If I can stay home, I think I am better off doing so.
Ann ~ I am also reading a Barbara Freethy book .... "Between Now And Forever". I got quite a bit of reading done yesterday and will probably be able to finish it up today. Hope LuLa gets a good report from the vet. Rain, Rain, Go Away!!
Judy ~ Yay on having your little Christmas tree. I am still decorated for Thanksgiving. We all have to do what makes us feel better. That's what I told DH about having our 'traditional' grilled cheese and tomato soup. There are so few traditions that we have been able to observe this year, and I tend to want to grab my joy wherever I can find it! Fortunately I am quite easy to please (at least in my opinion). I think we all are, and that's a good thing.
Pam ~ I do hope things are going well. Venting about your DH is a great outlet. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get your point across. Then we have to remind them that it's only because we love them. I have had to tell mine that - if I didn't love you, I wouldn't care when you are potentially self-destructive. Glad things calmed down.
I don't have much on my agenda today. I think I pretty well did everything this weekend. I had my Greek yogurt 'n berries w/F1 for breakfast; and have veggie/bean soup thawed out for my lunch. I plan to make Strawberry Waffles with turkey sausage for supper tonight. In between I have bananas and red grapes. I am also having to rein it in with the holiday coming up imminently and then my WW WI on Saturday {{yikes!}}
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue happy that you got reading done yesterday...I did as well and just started the next one in the series. I'm so enjoying it. Love Barbara. Nice light reading and she really gets you involved with the characters The book you are reading is an excellent choice and wonderful series. I read that and so enjoyed it. Sue I'd gladly swap weather with you. Here it's pouring buckets out gray and dismal. Not fond of rain unless it's a nice soft rain or sprinkle...or as my mom would call it 'sugar mist' LOL. I hear you on priorities changing as the numbers are on the rise. I'd gladly pay the extra $$ to be safe and sound. The only item that I need along with what is on the list is butternut squash for our Turkey dinner. That will wait till later in the week, as our Hannaford's is never really crowded. Judy sorry about your down mood. I was like that later yesterday and earlier this morning. Now I can feel it lifting. Oh how I love Jim Croce's music. Yes he was taken from us far too soon. In fact, when Carl and I married, we had 'Time In A Bottle' as the first song we danced to as a married couple We play that on our anniversary every year LOL. Happy that you are doing those 'little things' that you hold dear in your heart. I too have certain decorations that mean the world to me and to Carl. In fact, we have the first cardboard Christmas angel that we put on top of the tree in 1979 before we married. He as living in an apartment then and I picked it up as it struck my eye. It was at the old Fair LOL......now that was a long time ago. The one in Quinsig Village LOL......a blast from the past for sure. Keeping DH in my prayers, Judy. I know how we all worry about the health of our spouses..... LuLa went across the street and didn't really 'go' but she did a lot of sniffing.....now she is lying on the couch perfectly content. I've showered and put on jammies. No way will I go out in this mess. Carl will take miss LuLa to the Vet later on. They don't let you in, so no need in me going. I'm perfectly happy staying put. Breakfast was oatmeal and homemade apple sauce topped with a few crushed walnuts....then I had a honeycrisp apple...oh so good. Lunch will be a pita bread with hummus and veggie bean soup, and for supper we decided on finishing off the meatloaf from yesterday. That will 'free up' room in the fridge LOL...not to mention EASY Waving and will CBL

We were without internet for a bit. No clue why but I'm happy we are now up and running.
Miss LuLa made out well with her appointment. She takes the last of her medication tonight and if we want to, we can keep up with the paw bathing either once a day or 3X a week. Both are doable for us.
Going to call it a night............sweet dreams all..............it did stop raining so I was able to get in one good hood walk.

Hello friends! Another Jim Croce fan here! I especially love Time in a Bottle and I will think of Ann & Carl's wedding dance every time I hear it now. I remember feeling devastated when I heard of his death. Yesterday after Debbie and I walked, Dee and I worked in the garden, removing stuff growing where it's not supposed to, whether weeds or grapevines. We found two more tomato plants which I'm hoping will survive to produce a few fall tomatoes. We will see. While we were working, DB2 came and picked satsumas for his family. Dee was so happy to see him and chatted away. It was a very warm 83 and by the time we quit working, I was pooped. I helped DH with dinner and then read my book. I made it until 10:00 pm and then headed to bed. We walked at 7:00 this morning so that Debbie could get back home and get breakfast for her 4 grandchildren who are spending Thanksgiving week with them. They normally spend a couple nights at their son's house during the week because he lives in NOLA and Debbie frequently works there or close by, so the kids are in their "bubble". At 9:00 we met with several others at the old high school at the front of our subdivision to hang Christmas decorations on the fence. The Cultural District and Revitalization groups started this last year and it was very well-received in our little village. They put lighted trees on the porch overhang and hung wreaths, donated in memory of loved ones, on every window. After our work today, all that is left to do is hanging the wreaths, which requires a utility truck with a lift bucket. It was a sunny, cool and breezy day so fun to be outdoors. I brought home 4 large ornaments which needed some repair and will go hang them with Abby tomorrow. I got laundry going and then read some more of my book. Abby had called this morning and asked for a sleepover and of course we said yes. We had a grocery pickup and Walmart didn't fill several needed items, so I ran into Super1 and got those, then we picked up Abby, then headed to Walmart. It was dark by the time we got home. Abby and I unloaded groceries and then got the cats in while DH started hamburgers and tator tots for our dinner. We have played several hands of Crazy Eights and now Abby is watching Elf with Pop, who is also making popcorn for us. She informed me that since it's not a school night we can stay up really late. I told her Grammie can't do "really late" anymore, lol. Sue - I got a video of the kids playing in the snow. They had a time convincing little Leah to come back in as she loved it. You understood perfectly my situation with DH. I love him and I want this wound healed yesterday! Things are fine today and he got a good report from the HH nurse. Ann - Thanks for the romantic memory of Time in a Bottle. DH and I still use the cheap aluminum star we bought for our first Christmas tree. I once mentioned ditching it for something new and the DD's were horrified at the thought, so it stays. Judy - I think we all have little Christmas items that bring back good memories. My ornaments hand-crocheted by my mom are priceless to me. Well, Abby says it's time for another hand of Crazy Eights, so check ya later!
