Wow Carol, you really got a lot done yesterday. I didn't get as much done as I thought I would. My plan was to attend my Zoom small group but we got home late after our ride and my DS was feeling depressed so I decided to spend some time watching some TV with him so he didn't just go sit alone in his room. peoples who Today we have the painters coming to finish DS's room. We don't have to be home for them to be here. They're the same painters who did our kitchen. Cathy - you are getting lots done! Did you like the acorn squash? It's very mild. I usually cut in half, cook partway then cut up some apple and raisins to put in the middle and finish cooking.

Carol: I think I will try your recipe for the acorn squash. I liked it but I think that had something to do with all the butter and brown sugar I put in it. It really is mild. I'm not sure I would make it very often because there are other veges I like and unless I wanted to make it again as a alternate to a sweet (I will control the amt of butter and sugar next time by using apples) I probably won't make it too often. Do you have to put any liquid in it? I scored it and found it created it's own liquid. Trying my hand at pie dough today. I have back up crusts in freezer just in case. I should just make pecan tarts that can be frozen since I am the one who likes pecan pie. Good morning, busy day here. DH is going to go to the rescue place with some give aways. He may also try and go to the dumps but I'm not sure he will have time. We have eye appts this afternoon. Had a great day yesterday. Lots of work, lots of food, lots of movies. I watched a lot of kids movies to get me in the spirit and some classics like White Christmas. DH helped with cooking and we tagged team washing dishes throughout the day (our dishwasher broke down a few days ago). Happy Saturday. I am trying not to think about the fact that I have to go back to work on Monday. I loved being home so much. I actually only have 3 weeks left of work before a 2 week vacation. There is so much to do at work before my vacation and lots to do at home to get ready for Christmas. It will just be the three of us as always but I want to get the house decorated early so we can feel some extra joy. DH took a trip to the dumps yesterday and took some furniture we no longer use or have room for to the thrift shop. I still have stuff for the thrift shop but DS will take my things this week (lots of cookbooks).
