Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Another boring day ahead. I already miss being in work, probably because I’ve been off so much lately. I can keep myself busy, but it’s not the same as being around people.
DB called last night, he wanted to hear my voice. It’s sweet of him to do that and I know he feels better when he knows I’m ok. They were thinking about bringing over turkey dinner for me on Friday. I told him that I have a boneless turkey breast in gravy that I will cook for myself, I have potatoes and veggies, and yesterday I remembered that I bought a package of cranberries that I was going to try with oatmeal. Instead I’m going to make cranberry sauce. And banana bread for dessert. Yep, I’ll have a traditional thanksgiving dinner. Planning on FaceTime to say our thanksgiving blessing.
Looks like our county will be in the Red tomorrow. Positive cases still rising. That means ALL non essential businesses close, shopping mall stores can only be open if they have doors that access the outside - pretty much just the anchor stores. The dealership will still be open, staff will only be allowed to work 3 days during the week, sales team can work other 2 days from home. Last time there was financial help so no one lost pay, this time there isn’t that help so staff that can’t work from home lose money. Since I’m part time I’ll be ok.They will check stats and determine if there will be a change every Wednesday. Hope things improve and quickly.
Nothing much else going on today. Have a great one.

Good afternoon all. Watching a special news report of President-Elect Biden’s new cabinet. Sure hope Congress ok’s them and we get things moving!
Joy, I’m with you on missing people! Family, friends, even strangers because I like to talk to people in general! Sorry to hear your area of the state is going red! We aren’t there yet but changes were made last Friday night. But things like salons were left open. They did shutdowns based on the # of cases reported from certain types of businesses and sports and all. High school sports were closed back down; restaurants/bars are no longer serving in person meals/drinks, etc; gyms/fitness centers closed down; and there is a lower limit now on #’s for wedding & funeral receptions, etc.
We woke up late; very dreary out! We woke to a dusting of snow they had predicted. Some drizzle still and the snow is almost gone! We are going to run a box of goodies in to DF Rita shortly. And try Trader Joe’s again too.
Younger DD was asking me last night if we are worried about DIL being back in the ER and the added exposure. She also said had we been planning to be home alone Thursday and not making a real dinner that they would have brought us some for a porch pick up. I told her that her brother and family were going to be here and she wasn’t very happy about it. There’s some jealousy there! But we are going to have to figure out what to do about the exposure risks with DIL in the ER. Possibly only watching Mara every other weekend; only masks when we are around DS. For dinner Thursday, we are going to open the dining room windows for more air circulation, put the extra leafs in the table to space us out more; and wear masks when not eating. And not linger at the table after eating. Maybe have Mara open presents while I finish getting dinner on the table. And have them leave right after lunch. Any other suggestions?
Ok, going to run errands. Then home to do some cleaning! Have a good afternoon all and I’ll bbl to check in and see if Dottie & Martha have posted!

Joyce, I’m glad that you will be okay during the partial shutdown. At least you will be out of the house for 3 days a week. I think the isolation is getting to lots of people I know it is bothering me a lot. Your Thanksgiving dinner sound good and I know you will enjoy it.
Ruth, hope you were able to get your shopping done. There have been changes here also with the precautions. Gyms are still open but at 25% capacity, indoor dining also at 25%. Fall sports in most schools were never started but those that started have had their season canceled. Sports can start up again on January 19th but as the governor said that is subject to change. That is a tough call with having Mara because she could be exposed to the virus from her mom before her mom shows symptoms, that is why a virus can spread so easily.
We are still planning on going to DS#1 house for Thanksgiving. So far everyone is healthy and hopefully we will all remain healthy. DS#2 has his last day of in person teaching tomorrow. The college (as many other colleges) will go virtual till the end of the semester. School doesn’t start up again till the beginning of February but DS will be busy with lots of virtual meetings and planning sessions. I plan on making both dressings first thing tomorrow morning and then make the one desert on Thursday morning. It is nice not having to do all the work for Thanksgiving but will miss having more time with the grands.
