Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Ruth - it sounds like you are taking many of the recommended precautions for thanksgiving dinner. When I was going to DBs we were going to sit at opposite ends of their table, I was going to wear my mask except when eating, and I was only going to stay for a short while after dinner. If you look at CDC recommendations they are saying everyone should bring their own food, plates, utensils - I think that’s a bit exaggerated because dishes & utensils will be cleaned right after dinner and bringing your own food defeats the purpose of the dinner itself. Maybe not passing plates, one person doing the serving (dishing out the food), that will limit touching of serving spoons. Thinking about it, I might have suggested that too.
I don’t know how things are in your area , but protests and lawsuits are starting to be a daily normal. I’m going to stop listening to radio and news again, Hallmark has Christmas movies and I watched a lot of those early on.
Test is later this morning. After that I plan on making cranberry sauce, taking turkey/gravy out of freezer to thaw in fridge for tomorrow, and baking banana bread. It will be an unusual thanksgiving, making the most of it.
Will make sure everything is picked up in living room, tomorrow I plan on just sitting around. It’s going to rain tomorrow anyway.
Enjoy your day ... bbl

Happy Thanksgiving Eve aka Humpday.
Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I changed my password and of course couldn't remember it when I was at work. Have my cheatsheet in front of me this morning.
Found out I can't work on Friday. (I'd have to be paid holiday & OT) Starting next week, I'll be going into office on Tues & Fri.
Saw the pictures of Mara. I can see why she keeps you on your toes! She has that mischieveous look in her eyes. I can imagine the stink-eye she gave her mom.
Joy - I am just about to the avoid anything on the tv. We don't get the daily paper/daily disappointment. We may not have cable/dish but still will be limiting screen time.
I will be back later to check in again.
HUGS

Joyce, I haven’t heard about any protests here but they may be happening. We listen to very little news because I think the media likes to make things bigger than they really are. I hope you hear back about your test quickly so you can get out a little.
Waving to Ruth and Martha, hope you are both having a good day.
I made the stuffings I am bringing to DS#1 tomorrow. Refrigerator space is at a premium so I put them in our freezer till tomorrow. Tomorrow I’m making one of the deserts – the other is a pumpkin pie from Sam’s, it looks good. The stuffing took me longer to make than I thought it would. The cornbread was still too fresh so I had to bake it in the oven for about 45 minutes so I could finish the stuffing. I had a call yesterday from one of our Florida friends, it was so nice to catch up with her. I have to go for Covid test on Friday morning before I go on Monday for the basal cell procedure. Because of where the cancer is located I will need to have my mask off while they are doing the procedure. I hope I don’t have to wait too long for the test. I will be staying in till Monday once I get home on Friday .

Good late afternoon all. Just got back from my pedicure. I so enjoy being pampered like that! The foot massage part is so relaxing. Today I took her a bag of baby girl socks (we had a ton!); and a bag of sleep bags for those early months - the ones that look like sleepers, but have the bag bottom instead of legs. And the cuff on the sleeve that covers their hands. I have a few things that are girl and some that are gender neutral. Told her to look thru the bag and decide what she wants and I’ll give her a good price. I have more stuff to sort out and get to her. And I’m not putting pressure on her by letting her take them home, check them out, and decide.
Joy, you are still doing well. Praying your test comes out negative. And that no more of your colleagues are positive. Can you believe how swamped the airports are?? Why can’t people stay closer to home so we can get this pandemic over with!!!
Since I just have the turkey breast for lunch tomorrow, I think Stan is going to put it in the air fryer instead of the oven. Will take less time and the chicken he did in it the other night came out well. Will save oven space too. J
I told DS today that we will all be wearing masks tomorrow when we aren’t eating and that it will not be an all afternoon visit (we just saw them Sunday) and that we will be socially distancing. They understand!!!
Stan went down and dropped off my roasting pan to Heather, along with our pen enclosure (one of those plastic 6 panel pens where you can put a dog or a child or whatever). She wants it to enclose her Christmas tree from the puppy!!! DH said he’d go down if he could see the puppy! Got to see them and the girls.
Got some of the clothes listed. Will make sure they move to the top of the lists again in the next couple days to get attention of mom’s home this weekend.
Dottie, enjoy your visit tomorrow with DSs, DDIL, and the DGC!!! Safe travels!
Martha, enjoy your thanksgiving also. I can’t use this site on my phone because I can’t remember my password either and I have this setup as an icon on my ipad and it just opens and I don’t need my password!!!
have a good night all.

Was having issues with new work today. Messaged supervisor that I was having problems. We have an appt to go over it again on Tuesday. Am hoping that the new work will keep me busy at home. When in the office, I know that there is alot of scanning/printing/filing to be done.
Dinner is quick tonight - spaghetti/sauce. After dinner, I will do some baking for tomorrow.
Wishing you all the best for the holiday. Hugs
