This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

We are in the midst of many storms rolling through. Should last all day. I just want to go back to bed now, but I'm supposed to attend an open house this afternoon. Pfft.
Big doings in the House of T: I acquired a new vehicle so that I could hand my 6 year old over to DS, who will need a reliable one this summer. The rest of my school year is so full, we realized that this weekend was the best time to get 'er done. When I called him to tell him to come home for Easter so he could get his car, he thought it was an April Fool's joke. I'm happy for him and very happy for me. I haven't figured all her bells and whistles out yet, but the very best item for me so far is the blind spot warning in the side mirrors, such a help when on the expressway and trying to change lanes at 70 mph. (Speed limits here on urban expressways are insane.) Of course I got another Subaru Outback. The perfect car for me.
DH and I hiked yesterday, yay me. I'm tired tired tired today. I need groceries but I don't want to be bothered.
It's insane but expected that JA would already be introducing a gf to the kids. No wonder the floodgates opened after a release of energy in yoga. Let it out!
Frieda, I will also send my sad number to you. I love the realistic optimism in your point of view yesterday. We'll all be winners, with the blue dot challenge. Yesterday was a blue dot for me. I wish I could report that my weight is down this a.m., but it's up. Ah, well. I keep bouncing back to the same dang number as 2 weeks ago. But I feel stronger and less puffy.
Please say a prayer as DD drives home from a weekend away with friends -- it's rough weather all the way.
Okay, time to move something.

There is a ted talk that I heard on a podcast, and if you look it up its called something like power poses. Anyhow, when you are feeling down, or not strong, strike the wonder woman pose for a minute or so, and feel the power!! Honestly, try it now, you'll be ready to take on anything.
I feel much better today, after a very sad night. I didn't end up going to yoga this morning, but I did run/walk on the TM for 60 minutes. I think I'll stay close to home and straighten up the girls rooms and vacuum etc. Also a little laundry.
I started the movie Fences yesterday. I thought it was boring and kept thinking it filmed like a play. Is it a play?
A new car for T and DS! That's AWESOME for both!! I remember when my dad got a new car, we would walk to the end of the neighborhood to wait for my Dad to get a ride home in any new car he purchased. That particular car has lots head room for tall people I remember reading. What color did you get? I love the oyster pearl color.
I am making steak/potatoes/veggie for dinner tonight. Having weigh in on Monday keeps my weekend eating at bay.
How do we feel about our CAT challenge? Do you feel empowered after one day? I know on a day that I might over extend the 37 points, I get right back to it the next day and feel in control. I think feeling in control (because you are in control) contributes to weight loss. Those participating are: Frieda T CAW Melinda Linda Daffodil
Anyone else want to jump on our CAT tracking challenge? I think it's sufficiently changed up enough to achieve results! Oh, and if you aren't following (paying for) the WW program, please track along with us, we are ALL going to be winners at the end of this month.

Listening to Nascar race on radio, dishwasher cleaning away while I am on the computer.
Yesterday's weigh in had me doing a happy dance - down 2#. Wasn't particularly active but was eating more power/simple filling type foods. I'll have to tweak this weeks food as menu for week had already been set.
I'd like to do the challenge but not into the winning pot portion. Starting weight is a new decade - 189.6. Haven't stayed within my 30 for each day but haven't used up weeklies.
Tomorrow I will be meeting up with a friend for lunch. His choice isn't a WW friendly place so will attempt to make a wise decision.
Sending HUGS to all~ m
