Whew...what a week and I feel happy to report I did finish every single conference, evaluation report, and communication with staff and parents that was weighing heavy on my plate yesterday! NOW I can truly RELAX and enjoy the next few days OFF!! My Turkey did defrost more over the last day - I was fretting - lol - DD22 Linds Googled it and said yes, we can place it in a sink of cold water BUT only do it on the same day we are cooking it. Oh? So, back into the fridge it went...then she read how to clean the turkey which made me laugh as she got totally grossed out! LOL LOL WTH??!! How else did Lindsey think a turkey got cleaned and prepped for roasting?! Kids...really...I feel like such a failure for not raising cooks. HA! (not really, I do try!) Carole - WOW to the news you were exposed at work. I wonder what day Julie felt sick/symptoms because honestly, two days prior to that date is when she was most contagious. It does sound like your situation was similar to mine in that I did not actually see nor was around the administrator at work 2 days prior to her Sunday symptoms which meant I didn't really think I was at risk. Of course, we are ALL at-risk just by running to the store or being with family members who were out in the community. Good to hear the Pie Baking event is complete. And good for all of you for contacting customers to inform them one of the chefs was exposed. I think I caught Dr. Fauci explaining the new CDC guidelines are 10 Day quarantine as so many folks were 'lying' about exposure to avoid the 14 Day quarantine and potential job loss or time loss. Ehh, I don't know. My training from CDC and Johns Hopikins University said 90% of COVID Positive cases showed symptoms 14 days after exposure. I can't quite understand how now, because it's 'inconvenient' they walked back on that theory. Hmm? Anyways I am so grateful to hear you have not been symptomatic and you are very near 10 - 14 days anyways. So, don't keep us in suspense, WHERE is the Turkey being cooked?? LOL True to form for 2020 is right! BTW, I am surprised Jaclyn didn't 'freak' and make Eden and Tim immediately come right home to lock down! Is she having a surgery tomorrow?? Oh, and very interesting about Kathy's oncologist reassuring her about her risks. Whew. I FEEL more reassured for HER lol

Sue - 'You've Got a Friend...in Pennsylvania' lol lol Remember that jingle? I wanted to say THANK YOU for totally getting where I was coming from with the PA stats and guidelines and this whole political fiasco spotlight and COVID hitting our state. Although you live (what, 6 hours? from me?) and a different climate we do share the same State. Did your cell phone get that PA Statewide COVID Alert alarm??? Only Gary's phone went off at 4:30 yesterday (he was home) and it scared the heck out of us!! I thought it was either an Amber Alert or Tornado! Wow! Interesting that PA Gov Wolf approved the use of that warning system...still shaking my head at the National spotlight again on PA with the antics of Rudy holding a 'fake hearing, to investigate fake allegations' of voter fraud in Gettysburg, PA. And all the supporters lined up outside WORE NO MASKS holding up their signs, "Stop the Steal" oh for Pete's Sakes! At least Trump knew not to fly here for that nonsense but still...embarrassing.
Glad you and Gloria were able to tackle as much as possible yesterday - and yes, PLEASE ENJOY and RELAX today and tomorrow. I caught DH Gary watching the Hallmark Christmas movies lol - he said he was looking to see 'Winnie' (the actress from Wonder Years) but I don't think Danica McKellar has been doing them - it was Candace Cameron (Full House) who was starring in a lot too, but I thought it was funny Gary was 'busted' lol
Spent a nice evening yesterday watching a few episodes of "The Crown" with Linds and Gary - love that series but oh, it's SO serious - and we are in the Season of when Diana enters their lives. Makes me sad how tragic her life was - but hey, anyways, I am looking forward to FAMILY night tonight. Yesterday we just didn't pull out the board games but we plan to after our late dinner tonight!!

Good morning ladies and Happy Thanksgiving!
Although it is a holiday, we are still having our small group run today and it is really COLD---38 degrees right now! We are treating ourselves to a later start though--6:45 am Got a call from DS26 yesterday and DH and I have to stop by their house to move a package inside that is sitting on the front porch. They will be up on Friday finishing a few things, getting the carpet laid and then moving in on Saturday--yahoo! Today only DS21 is coming to dinner -- I am preparing a full meal and running some quickly over to my mom's house for her before we eat. Then, we have the big family Zoom at 7:30 pm. Did you all see the email from Zoom that they are giving everyone unlimited time today so that families can celebrate? I am hoping that 7:30 on the west coast means that the east coast and midwest will be done so that we don't overwhelm the system. We will see!
I didn't even post yesterday--not sure why? It was a busy day though (only one work-related Zoom) and glad to be here this morning. Today I am grateful for friendships and family gatherings that can fill my soul without having to be there in person....in these times, if I did not already have my relationship with all of you or the means to connect with my family virtually, it would be so much harder! Thank you!
Christine: Yay for having all of your reports and everything done! I had to LOL about Gary and the Hallmark movies. Hey, they are definitely not over-challenging for our minds (a nice break) and do feel good when you watch them--can't blame him! One of my sister's neighbors starred in at least one this year and I am thinking that it wouldn't be a bad gig--Hallmark movies seem to be very popular! We watched "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" last night--kind of a tradition. How did your water focus go yesterday? I am the same way--have to be focused to get it really done. You got me to thinking about my turkey so I brought it in to check it (it was in the outside fridge) and it had a lot of frozen parts too. So, I took out the "inside stuff", rinsed it off, and put it back in a sealed bag and in the fridge again. Will take it out this morning to see if it needs the "cold water soak" today. DS21 is starting his training on his new job tomorrow at noon. SO glad that he is finally moving forward! Yay for Carly and her student teaching. What great experience she will get both for distance AND in person teaching. "

Carole: Oh WOW what a day you had!!! And your sister's oven is stuck too??? Yikes! Did Ken fix it? Maybe you move upstairs and they stay downstairs or? Sheesh! Glad that most people kept their pie orders though. Hey, I am WITH you. You pull up, open the back, and it is no different than the tech guys setting the stuff on the ground. Hope that all works out with a minimum of effort on your part. Yep, seems like working at home is almost a blessing right now. I am sorry that you are going through this though and REALLY hope that you don't get any symptoms of COVID. Our Health Officer has always said 10-14 days of quarantine (depending on the situation) --I think it has to do with symptoms developing and a person not knowing when they were exposed. We have been told that most everyone (who gets symptoms) gets them within 2-14 days of exposure. The trick is knowing when you were exposed. I hope that you have a RELAXING day (leave it up to the rest of them!) and can have your tea, relax and watch Hallmark movies....just enjoy!
Sue: So, I hope that Jason can get some "scoop" about where the kids are going. The boys will love that pumpkin roll! So glad that you have your days off--lots of working for you lately. I know that the extra $ is a good thing, but you need your time off too. I am sure that your chicken will be fine...don't you think? The smallest turkey they could get for me (pre-ordered) was 14 lbs!!!! Uggh! Anyway, it was very inexpensive so I can't complain there. I will make soup but will have to think of something else creative since DH will eat SOME but not a lot. Hope that you have a good day today!
Hello to all who join us--will try to post again later. I hope that everyone's house smells like yummy Thanksgiving things and that you all have a peaceful day--I hear that a version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade will be on TV--YAHOO!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU....
Let me start with my Day #25 Gratitude that I missed yesterday: DAYS OFF....yes, I am grateful to have a couple days off after a very LONG, short week of work. It has a been a rough few days at work and I'm happy to have a couple days to rest, regroup and relax before heading back to chaos!
Thanks Christine for starting us off today...I was up about 7:45am and that was awesome! I feel almost rested after all my early days this week, hopefully tomorrow will be the same. Jason doesn't have to work now so his alarm will not go off tomorrow and wake me! I got up, got my garlic olive oil made with sage, rosemary & thyme to put on the chicken before it goes in the oven.....David makes a fantastic roast chicken and he says that's his secret! We'll find out! Got the hot dog rolls cubed up and drying a bit for the stuffing and now I can just sit and visit for a few minutes!
WTG Christine on starting your long weekend off with a "clean plate" at work! That has to feel awesome and definitely something to be thankful for today!! Have to giggle at Lindsey getting "grossed out" by the turkey cleaning....did she think they were magically cleaned and prepped??? Oh, you can try to teach kids how to cook but sometimes it just doesn't rub off. Hannah cooks but doesn't really love to cook....Sarah hates to cook but manages. Funny part is when they both get a "cooking creative urge" and try something new they do great! They just need to try! Heaven knows I've made more than my share of flops over the years!
Yes Christine...I remember that jingle well! Yes, although we are in the same state probably a good 6 hours apart drive time....we ARE dealing with the same state rules and mandates. No, I don't have the alerts set to go off on my phone. What did the COVID Alert say?? Yes, it is embarrassing the antics of many in PA putting us back on the Nat'l Spotlight....I was watching just a few minutes of the footage of the investigation....nope, NOT A MASK IN SIGHT!! Not sure why people are trying to fight a losing election battle instead of fight a battle against COVID with safe practices!

Good morning Christine ~ Thanks for starting us off today - Yes HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL ♥
Day 26 Gratitude: I am grateful that the pie baking is done - went off without too many "glitches", and they have all been picked up or delivered and paid for - and we are DONE for this year! It was more stressful than some years due to everything else going on these days!
Slept good (again?) last night, slept IN until 8 AM! Well I was awake here and there after 4, but for the most part I slept in! Now I am taking time to enjoy my morning coffee, and catching up. Tracy is heading down to my sisters shortly - she enjoys the parade and hates to interrupt her viewing! Ken will head down a bit later, and I will go in time for dinner (only)! Jaclyn has opted not to come at all - she is worried about being around me, Ken & Tracy, with her upcoming surgery next week. Apparently it is OK for Tim & Eden to be near me, but not her. Even when I said I would stay home, she is concerned about HER being near Ken & Tracy! Personally I think she just prefers not to come? Hard to decipher her rationale.!

LOL...have to laugh at Gary checking out Hallmark. I do think Danica McKellar is in one Christmas movie each year....Jason loved "Winnie" in Wonder Years so he always watches when she's on. I think hers is on in early December...the title is something like "Christmas She Wrote" I think...I had looked it up when Jason asked about her! LOL! Every now and then Jason will comment when a rerun from prior years comes on and he hears it he will say "this is one of the better ones"! I just laugh because normally he's making fun of me for watching!
Day #26 Gratitude: THANKSGIVING....a day to look around and instead of complaining about the fact we can't or shouldn't do things the way we always do, we still have so much to be truly thankful for.....if you have your health and the health of your family, if you have a job, if you have food on your table....stop complaining and just say THANK YOU!!!
Gabrielle....WOW, that is cold! When I got up it was almost 50° and now it's knocking on 60's door.....supposed to be a mild day here and looks like the rains are done! YAY for the big move in day for T&K....so exciting! Yes, I did see that ZOOM was doing their part to help those this holiday season to be in touch with their families w/o regard for the time! That's awesome. We FaceTimed with Hannah yesterday since it was Rowan's birthday so I will text her in a little while when I know for sure the house is up and moving...will try and FT with Sarah to wish them Happy Thanksgiving but needless to say, she is still giving us the cold shoulder. Jason stopped to drop off the pumpkin roll and she barely grunted at him. He did find out they were staying home today but that's it. I will plan to call around lunch so I can see Colton too! They have him from 9:00am - 3:00pm today.
YAY for Max starting his training....if you mentioned it, I forgot...where will he be working??? I remember you mentioning auto parts store but not sure if that was it or not??? I know the fact he has a job will be a good thing for him and a relief for you and Ed that he is moving in a positive, productive path.
Yes Gabrielle the extra $$ is nice but Gloria and I both agreed that we were going to "take a weekend" meaning 2 days OFF and come in on Saturday just for a few hours. Honestly, if we don't, Monday truly could be a DISASTER! The timing of everything and add the Tonya fiasco it's a bit overwhelming at time. Gloria did mention that after Monday the stress will be much less the remainder of the week....we've got this! We have a plan!
The turkey we got at work was 12-15#, I'm thinking closer to the #15 based on the size in comparison to my 7# chicken we are making today.....we will make the turkey later with all the trimmings and invite the kids over but NOT until they smarten up and get off their "pity-party horse" and grow up! As Jason said, he's not asking for them to agree but respect our choices for US!!! Everyone needs to do what is best for them and the ones they love at this point. If you choose NOT to follow protocols and NOT to social distance & wear your mask then respect the fact I AM NOT GOING TO HANG OUT!! Their behavior makes me feel unsafe. Agree or disagree, I don't care, just respect our decisions.
Carole...good morning to you!! So glad that despite the COVID glitch and the oven glitch for DS the pies are done for another year!! As you said any $$$ you raise is a good thing!! YAY for a good night's sleep too!! That's a bonus after you busy couple of pie days! Sorry Jaclyn is opting not to come today but it's her choice!! Good idea to just head to DS for dinner only....no sense taking any chances even though you feel confident that you are fine and healthy.....
Lisa, Nadine, Jo, Jenny, Shelly and anyone else I might have missed....hope you are all doing well, enjoying whatever Thanksgiving celebrations you have planned for today!!
Will pop in later.....no plans to go anywhere, just cook, bake an apple pie for dessert and enjoy the day!! Be well, be safe and have a great day!

Happy to say "Water Wednesday" was a success!! I made my large mug of tea with thieves and Collagen and sipped on that while baking pies. Refilled it and enjoyed a 2nd mug! I also had my water bottle handy, and I got about 100 oz. Not quite the gallon I had been getting - but close enough! This will be my biggest hurdle while working from home - oh that and moving! I'll need my friends here to remind me, and will set timers to remember too!
Sue: WOO HOO for being done by 2 and just had time to muddle through to leave on time!! Eh, working Saturday won't be a huge deal - I'd do it too, if it was an option!
Good for you sending a pumpkin roll down to the kids!!
We have the gloomy rainy day today! I will just wear a coat or carry an umbrella, but will walk down to my sisters and back!
Awww, too bad Jason couldn't work Saturday like you are - so you could be home Friday together!
No, Julie is NOT one to be out and about after work - she and her BF (who works in a school with younger kids) are good about abiding by the "rules"... I think... I mean I don't know that for sure - but I don't see her on FB going here - there - and everywhere! She also wears a mask, doesn't "forget" it like some do! I trust she has been following the rules, and takes care about sanitizing. (Probably more than I do) I do not HAVE to get a test, as I am not going back to the building - BUT Josh did call me to say CDC and Board of Health strongly recommend I do get tested! Eh, no thanks! I figure I am on day 8, by the time I can get to be tested (Monday) it will be day 12, since I have been around the infected person. Then results don't come back for 5-7 days, so yeah, I won't bother "this time"! All my co-workers rushed out for testing, and won't know until possibly tomorrow, probably Monday! So far I have talked/texted with four others on my "team" and only one is "sick"... can we all guess who that is?
I think we actually only "wasted" some blueberries and pumpkin. The pumpkin we KNEW we would toss... it has been in the freezer for two years, so I wanted to clean it out - and next year we will have to start with fresh! Mostly want it out of my freezer for now! LOL It was all donated 2 years ago - and since pumpkin is not as popular as others, we don't need it all just sitting around each year! Flour, butter, and apples have gone into the freezer until Easter? or next year? Depends how the world is turning by then! The strawberries and rhubarb we pulled, was just about enough - we do have some in the fridge, so I will actually make one more pie this weekend. When Tracy was delivering some to the police station (for pick up) one cop wished he had known... so yeah, we'll make him one - just because we have the leftover fruit! LOL
LOL Nope, Kathy is NOT a mask wearer... thought she would put one on around me, but nope - she's the biggest reason I will go today for dinner, but not stay long before or after!
The oven issue was solved... Mary called a repair guy, and was told to unplug the stove for minimum 15 minutes, then plug it in and try again... She had unplugged it but only for a minute or so - they said it needs at least 15 minutes to reset itself... so she unplugged it and went to get Zoë. By the time she got back to town it had been over an hour - so she tried again and it was fine! WHEW! No one descending on my house today! LOL
She then went home and cleaned out the remnants from the cleaning she had done, and restarted the oven and it was working fine. Hope FT with Rowen as a fun time!

Christine~ WOO HOO to getting every conference, report, and communication DONE so you can truly enjoy today, tomorrow and the weekend OFF!!
LOL To Kinds "helping" by googling about the turkey. I used to love being in the kitchen with Mom and Gramma and Nana prepping for the holidays... just a country kid I guess! Back then it's what we did!
Ahhh, I'd LOVE to know more about the when and what Julie felt for symptoms! I "assume" her symptoms didn't show up until at least Saturday/Sunday... but I don't know. If HER test results were back Tuesday, and everyone's seem to be 5-7 days, I am wondering what we are not being told! I mean seriously, IF she was tested back on Thursday - then I am well past the 10 days anyway... whatever - I am somewhat quarantining, as much as my damned family will allow!
Jaclyn's gall bladder surgery is next Friday - Covid test this Tuesday. Hence why she is not coming today? Tim & Eden were slated to stay here from Tuesday through Friday so she could "self-isolate" after her Covid test... now who knows what will happen? I can't concern myself with that - this is all on her - what she wants, what she trusts... she is letting Tim & Eden come today, so who knows what she is thinking!
HA! Funny "catching" Gary with Hallmark movies!! Enjoy your family fun day today ♥
Gabrielle: We are sharing the same cold temps today! Good luck with your family Zoom tonight ♥
Hey we have a "local" that is featured? on one of the Hallmark movies too! How funny!!
LOL Yes, I will call IT and when I get there just pop the back! Let them do the lifting! I hear tell we are getting both monitors this time too! YAY! Although some of my co-workers are struggling with getting both to work? I may end up just spending the $100. and getting one for myself - never know when I may need it again anyway??
Hey you can freeze the turkey after it's cooked - to pull out for another dinner later down the road! Also turkey on a salad... turkey salad instead of chicken? You have a recipe you like for a chicken salad don't you?? You'll find a way!
Yes, the parade is on here... Tracy went to my sisters' to see it, and Ken just left a bit ago. He was worried about going without me - afraid I will decide not to go! OMG What part of QUARANTINE do these people not get???
Sue: YAY for feeling somewhat rested - but already getting a jump on your dinner prep. Oh nice, Jason will have tomorrow off too! Maybe get more Christmas decorations out??
Yes, so very thankful for everything we DO have, and need to focus on that - rather than what we don't have today! Ugh, so sorry Sarah is still nursing her wounds {{{hugs}}}. WOO HOO for a "plan" to get through this week and Monday at work. Eh' maybe hang on to the turkey until Christmas... hopefully everything will settle down a bit by then and THAT holiday can go off as "usual"?

OK Time to get moving - will shower and get dressed, then flip a load of laundry, and be ready to head down around noon. Dinner should be around 1, so if I leave here around noon, I will only be there 40 minutes or so before the meal? LOL Hey, This will be the year I do NOT overeat the appetizers she has out! WOO HOO!!! Party mix, my holiday favorite!!
Just texted with Kaitlin - yes ladies it is she who is "suffering" no fever, but "burning up, body aches, headache" and her DH asked her to sleep in the spare room and wear a mask at home! Sorry - too late for that I would suspect! IF she gets positive results, her "symptoms" started showing Tuesday, so that ship has sailed! I do not want her sick, but Geeze she has as little contact with Julie as I do - seriously Julie's job doesn't overlap with anyone except Aleta (on our team/side of the room)!! So I am not sure why Kaitlin would be suffering, except she does go out and about every single weekend! She may be with only 10-12 people, but it's a DIFFERENT 10-12 people every darned night of every darned weekend!! Hey maybe SHE brought it to the office - we will never know for sure!!
I don't even care who brought it in, or how it was brought in - I am feeling fine, and expect to stay that way! I also am thankful to be working from home - indefinitely - provided my internet stays in tact! I am A.O.K. with self-isolating! LOL (AKA LEAVE ME ALONE)!
Might check back later - hoping we can all salvage a piece of the day - and make the most of what we have ~ Keeping in mind the better we handle TG, the more likely we are to enjoy a more "normal" Christmas.
Love you all ♥hugs♥

Afternoon all....the chicken is ready to go in the oven as soon as the oven is preheated....stuffing is made and ready to warm up after the chicken comes out of the oven, potatoes are peel and ready to turn on later, onions are skinned and cut ready to cook a bit later and then will make the white sauce when they are finished cooking, butternut is chunked and in IP to cook later, peas will just get microwaved a few minutes before we eat while I make the gravy. Jason is in charge of the sweet potatoes so now I can relax a bit.....while the chicken and stuffing cook/warm I will get the apple pie made and ready to go in the oven after dinner is cooked....then it will be warm and perfect for eating about 7:00pm!! Will say, I'm in good shape and hopefully all will be ready for our 4:00pm FaceTime "virtual" Thanksgiving Dinner with David and gang!! While not the same, it will be fun to virtually sit around the same dinner table this year!
Carole....glad your Water Wednesday was a good one....wasn't sure how it would be being busy with the pie!! Yes, close enough to your normal!! Yes, you will have to learn a new routine to get in your fluids and get moving....maybe with your "office" upstairs you can plan to walk down to the kitchen every hour to refill or "top off" your water jug and get a little movement. While down there, walk a few "loops" through the entry, kitchen and dining room to add a few extra steps!!
Yes, it was nice to have the bulk of our work done by 2:00pm yesterday and just do some "mindless" tasks to fill out the remainder of the day....our brains were so tired and foggy by that point we needed to do things we didn't have to really concentrate on.
I just tried to FaceTime with Sarah and as expected she didn't answer ....I texted and wished her Happy Thanksgiving said I hope they enjoy the Pumpkin Roll. That's the extent of my reaching out....if she wants to reach out to us....fine, if not it's her loss!! No guilt here anymore!! I did see on FB that they were planning on doing their usual "Friends-Giving" with some HS friends and families....all have kids, all know Kellen is quarantined but none of them seem to care. Whatever....not my circus!!
Carole...my cousin Carol & Ken were planning an outside Thanksgiving dinner but it got rained out in Auburn so they postponed until tomorrow at 3:00pm.....everyone is off so instead of cancelling they opted postpone!! Not as big a crowd as usual but a safer, smaller outside celebration!!
Well it sounds like Julie likely contracted COVID from her BF since his school had a outbreak. It happens even to those who are safe and do all the "right things"! I'm sure since her BF is in education, neither of them wanted to take any chances with the lives of the kids. I don't blame you for not getting the test Carole....if you were heading back to the office it would be one thing but since you were slated to work remotely come Monday....makes no sense. Kaitlin has to be the only one "sick" but then again, she really is the most likely to get COVID she is does NOT practice any of the safe protocols! Heck, she doesn't even have a "safe circle", she is just life as usual it seems!
Well, glad you didn't waste too much!! Maybe you can use the thaw blueberries in yogurt of something so they don't all go to waste. Pumpkins are cheap and if it had been in your freezer for 2 years it was time to get it out!! YAY for not letting that last bit of S/R go to waste and hey, one more pie sale!! One pie won't take long to crank out!! If you didn't have it out is one thing but since it was already thawed and ready, no sense wasting that when you can make a little more $$$.
Honestly Carole...I don't get it with Kathy....while she is not a mask wearer and her oncologist said she really isn't in more risk why with COVID hitting close to your house she just wouldn't "be on the safe side?? I'm with you, I would NOT want to be the one that was a carrier and gave it to someone like her. While SHE isn't doing her part, I would still be wearing a mask in her company for my own piece of mind that I was doing MY part in her safety! No, I don't feel responsible for everyone's choice to "mask up or not" but still for me wearing a mask is not too much to ask for to hopefully slow done the spread and get us back to normal sooner.

Carole....so glad the oven issue was solved so you won't have an onslaught of people descending upon your house today!! Best to keep folks out of your house for another few days "just to be safe"!
Yes....FaceTime with Rowan was fun! He got a yoyo from Kale for his birthday and was showing me his skills! Did you know that you can get a yoyo with a "brain" now....you can turn the brain on and it apparently comes back up easier just by lifting your hand...then when you get used to catching it and tossing it, you can turn the "brain off" and use it as usual. He told me he was going to start one the books we gave him last night before bed! He's too cute!
Carole...I wish I came from a family of cooks/bakers but alas, I did not so all my "skills" I learned on my own by trial and error! When we got Food Network when we switched to satellite TV I really found a love of cooking. I can't wait to have my new kitchen to really branch out and try more things just because it's easier!
Carole...I know when Lynne's son, Jared got tested he did NOT have any symptoms...they made everyone in his office get tested because of the positive test for one of the 11....they had already had several in the plant so when the office became infected they made everyone get tested....He was tested on Thursday morning and felt fine but then Friday night into Saturday he started to feel a bit achy and sore throat.....his test came back positive on Saturday. Not sure what the time line was for onset of the original person was to the time when everyone got test though?? Around here, the test to results are 2-3 days, actually MUCH faster than it used to be....when this all started it was 7-10 days!
Well, I guess I understand why Jaclyn is staying home today with her COVID test on Tuesday but still seems odd that it's OK for Tim & Eden to go... we all know that IF you are a carrier and IF they get it, they could still bring it home to her! Will be anxious to see what happens now with Tim and Eden staying at your house in light of you? Who knows, as I said, "not our circus"....
Christine...Carole is right, leftover turkey isn't really a problem...yes, a little different taste than chicken but not enough that you can substitute in any recipe. Since I had the chicken I just used that today and will save the turkey for when there are more to enjoy it but had I not had the chicken, I would have made the 15# turkey!! I would have made extra gravy and put Turkey & Gravy in freezer bags to pull out later for a nice dinner with potatoes and veggies....would make a pan of "Turkey" Divan and put that in the freezer to pull out later, top with cheese and bake....so many great option for left over poultry!
Actually Carole...we had planned to decorate on Sunday this weekend....Jason will likely enjoy a nice day outside since it is to be sunny and fairly warm. While he's in good shape getting the yard ready for winter the "bonus" day will maybe get him finished!
While I do hope Christmas will be more "normal" I am VERY doubtful and honestly if it is better then I will feel REALLY bad about not going to Hannah's. I think Jason and I are just planning on a quiet Christmas, just the two of us...we'll make scratch waffles as usual with sausage for brunch and "wing it" for dinner! I'm not worried, not concerned and not honestly thinking about that for today!
LOL...speaking of party mix...I picked up my Crispix and peanuts for Peanut Brittle and Party Mix this year when I was at the store last week....sometimes close to the holidays Crispix is hard to find so when I saw the shelves stocked, I grabbed a bunch!
No Carole...you will never know who actually brought the virus to your office but if Kaitlin tests positive, I agree, that's on HER and NOT Julie!!
My chicken is starting to smell yummy.....have a great day all!! We are all truly blessed with so many things despite the COVID chaos! Celebrate those blessings!♥♥♥
