Hello again!
Turkey is in the oven, pies are made, thinking about peeling the potatoes now. My goal is to take DM's plate over to her between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. I need to make sure that I don't forget to cook something! Usually it is the rolls...I either forget to cook them or burn them because they only take 5 minutes. Maybe this year will be better
Carole: Oh man.....so sorry that positive tests are emerging. I can not emphasize enough how significant it is though that you are a rigid mask-wearer. Our guideline in CA is that you are considered more "at risk" if you have been within 6 feet of a person for at least 15 min---and without masks it is no time---never within 6 feet. I am glad that you are not taking Jaclyn's decision personally...everyone has their own level of anxiety and it is rarely the case that it has to do with others....more with the person who is feeling that way. Still, I hope that you remain healthy. I will be thinking of you. Hey, our painting party is coming up! SO excited for that Sunday! Something to look forward to.
Sue: Oh man, so sorry that Sarah continues to hold this feeling....it is her loss though. DS21 got a job at O'Reilly Auto Parts and I am SO glad--I can tell that he is too. I am thinking that our Christmas will be very low key too. I will be glad that Tyler and Kate are closer though--something to look forward to! And DS21 really likes Christmas so he will be around Your dinner is making me hungry as I read about it!
Thank you both for the leftover-turkey-advice. I didn't think it would freeze well once cooked, but I am certainly willing to give it a try---it should at least work for soup! And I do have a chicken salad recipe -- thanks Carole!
Okay, will see you all tomorrow as I can tell the tempo is picking up here---as well as the wind. Still only 50 degrees---BRRR! Have a good evening!
