Happy Thanksgiving, All!
Becky, you must have been living right to have had HEB so crazy but you got through checkout so easily yesterday. How is your weather today and how are the knees and ITB behaving?
Do you have rain, Liz? I saw a little of the Today Show and the Macy's Parade was predicted to get wet. I hope you're having a relaxing time off.
Linda, how did the pies come out? Nice of you to make some for a celebration you weren't attending. I'll bet you're exhausted today after the day you had yesterday. I'm anxious to hear how you liked the corn pudding casserole. Did you have the usual from your Italian place for last evening's dinner?
What a beautiful rose and story behind it, Chele. A nice sign of hope that things are going to turn around soon. Did you and Iggy both cook Thanksgiving dinner? How was the oyster dressing?
Kathy, how was dinner? How's your weather? What an odd text from your cousin. If you were going to be able to get together, I would have thought those arrangements would have been made weeks ago. I was really disappointed that the Steelers-Ravens game won't happen today. I can relate to the lack of NCAA interconference play this season. TN had a few that were sure wins, which is part of the reason we aren't doing well this year. UT does get credit for our volunteer hours and that has trickle down to our local level. I'm afraid 2021 could be a lean year for many reasons, not the least of which is the number of hours we have accumulated this year. Last year we had 20 members with over 100 hours. This year we only have 13.
How was your dinner, Denise?
I did my time on the rowing machine and made a batch of savory oats. There isn't much cooking to be done, so I don't have to start for about 3 hours. We have some sunshine and it's in the 60s already. We will probably have dinner on the screened porch. Still having allergy issues, so don't feel like doing much.

Happy Thanksgiving, All. Thanks for being here.
Karen, sorry about your allergies. I hope they improve soon. It is a cloudy day and 50°. Iggy does all the Thanksgiving cooking. His choice. I am not surprised that MG hours dropped this year.
I hope all are having a good day.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🦃🦃 🥧
Karen, I hope your allergies improve soon. I haven't eaten dinner yet, but I'm sure it will be a nice meal. It's 82 right now and I don't think we're supposed to get rain until Sunday or Monday. My cousin may be a bit frazzled. His daughter, son-in-law and 1 year old grandson have moved in with them! His daughter is pregnant too, so there will be another one before too long. Enjoy your dinner. It's nice to not have to do too much cooking.
Chele, my DBIL does the Thanksgiving cooking too and it's also his choice. I'm sure Iggy will make a great meal.
Hope everyone has a great day!

So, Chele and Kathy, my question is if Iggy and DBIL do the holiday cooking, who cleans up the kitchen?

Iggy cleans up, too. I am spoiled!
Just finished watching A Christmas Story. The Christmas season has begun and we are expecting some snow on Monday.

Thanks for the start Karen. It's been a beautiful day.Cooler this morning and in the 70's this afternoon. I was able to take 2 walks today and not too bad. I was surprised when we decided to ride to town HEB was open.I guess they found out Walmart was closed so they would open part of the day. It was funny to see people drive into WM pk lot and drive back out because they didn't know they were closed. The Longhorns may be playing in the rain tomorrow.
Kathy We got to 80 briefly but already down to 76. Hopefully a cool front is coming with our rain the next 2 days.
Chele Nice that Iggy does the cleaning too. I noticed there have been Christmas movies on Hallmark since before Nov 1. I refuse to watch Christmas movies before Thanksgiving. LOL.
Everyone enjoy their dinners and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Happy thanksgiving...
Chele, nice of Iggy.
wow, your cousin has a lot on his plate, Kathy.
decided to cook Turkey great early because I was going to DB's earlier and not see his kids and family because they now have sick close relatives..COVID. hmm..not a big breast ordered. An 11 lb Turkey. Drat. Roasted it and gave the legs and thighs to DB who likes the dark meat. Nice 20 minute visit masked in chairs in drive. put back all the rest of my stuff in closet and library.
so dinner was at three, just had to easily warm up things because it was made earlier and Turkey a,ready sliced and taken apart. Big clean up done.
echo show with DH's sister , son, spouse and a nephew
Had our pie..turned out great, and watching a little tv before I fall down dead tired.

The desk came from grandmother, had it all our lives as lovely mahogany. Mom painted it gold. Some day I need to get that paint off.
