Good morning after all Slept well and hope you did also. We have very foggy weather conditions. Happy that we don't have to go out in it. Walking will be fine. Audrey kudos on all those great deals. Sorry about Rachel. Cathy you were missed. For some reason our internet was spotty earlier yesterday but it straightened out.
MJ happy you have no fog...especially in your heart!
Waving....and wishing all a pleasant OP day.

Good morning all. Glad everyone had a good Thanksgiving for the most part. Home mom was pleasantly surprised June Audrey - I'm so sorry about Rachel. MJ - Enjoy the peace Hi Ann, Bee, Becky, Cathy, Pam I have read everything but had no time to respond. It was a good day. Lily is settling in for the most part, but there were two incidents where she went after Frankie. Fortunately there was only some ruffled fur but I am concerned when she gets overstimulated. I think it was just a little too much for her first day. She is otherwise a real sweetie, knows some basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash. While Midnight and Jack are a bit wary, Midnight has not been under the bed which is amazing. I'll try to come back later.

Becky THx for sharing the Cute story about your mom. By the time you & Kenneth hit the stores, I hope that all the diehard BlackFroday shoppers are home.
I think that WM was closed. It seemed like many stores were closed or closed early. Audrey Those are great buys at Macy's. A friend of mine seems to find good buys at Walgreens, too.
Sending you a hug.
Mj I can almost feel the ease and relaxation vibe of your morning. That coffee never tasted so good this year.
Cathy I figured that it was anInternet issue. Yep that reset button is a popular optiontoday.

Ann Enjoy your walk.
Susi Mom was happy to see me. But I had to go back twice since she was sleeping the first time. Sounds like the first day at home for Lily went fairly smooth. Good that you have the long weekend to help her adjust.
Funny Thanksgiving story The mystery frozen poultry was chicken but it was teriyaki chicken a lot of unappetizing looking teriyaki chikentendeloins. R made a stir fry with rice for lunch. All I could figure was that whole mess was from last year's end of the year scenario. That period was a rough go for sure.
My nephew had offered anyone inneed a turkey dinner that's he would deliver. MY DS has also offered us a meal. LOL I asked if the offers were to open & said that I could pick them up. Gioooodness. . . . It was fine dining restaurant quality. Even without the pan gravy the turkey was incredibly moist. Every item was formscratch.

Susi so happy that for the most part, Lily is settling in. Great that she walks well on the leash. I hope the issues with Frankie subside. As you said, could just have been her first day there...... June so happy you got to visit with DM. Sorry you had to go back twice. I bet she so appreciated seeing and visiting with you. LOL to your chicken teriyaki story. I'm not a fan but Carl loves it. He will make it for himself and leave the sauce off mine How nice of your DN and DS to offer meals. That warmed my heart. I can't believe that yesterday's meal added only a slight blip in the scale.... up .2 and I'll take it. Of course, it could come to visit me tomorrow or whenever it feels the need. I'm safe for now. Day is planned. I finished putting the fall/Thanksgiving decorations away and have the bed in Rachel's room covered with all things Christmas. That'll happen at some point over the weekend.... Time for coffee.

Cathy you will be fine. One of the funniest things yesterday is the batteries in my scale died so I could not wait myself yesterday morning when I first got up.They were the original batteries in probably a year old so I had no idea what I was that going into the day.I figured I just stay the same as the previous three days. The scale is fine now and tells me I ate a bit too much yesterday so thank you I will go back and reset and march on.

Just got back from a 2.5 mile walk. Beautiful weather. Heating up my soup and when that's done who knows? Maybe the tree will get done. Later!

Becky, I remember a lot of black Friday shopping when my children were very young but I would never go out at 6 AM for anything. When Rachel dated the architect she used to go on Black Friday at like four in the morning with his mother and sisters to the places they would go to to get the free gift if you were the first 50 shoppers etc. At least her husband’s family doesn’t follow that practice. Now that so many businesses start their sales as early as October and so much can be bought on line and shipped free there’s little need
Susi, I wonder what Lily thought during the car ride. I am glad Midnight didn’t hide. Lily Belle still attacks Indiana after 5 years.
June, there are many mystery meals at the bottom of our freezer placed there for whatever reason with good intentions.

Happy to say that the Christmas tree and trimmings are up. What was left over went into a box and I dropped it off with a FREE sign where we get out mail. I'm sure someone will want it...if not, it will go into the trunk to be donated.
Took our final LuLa walk. Can't believe how beautiful it is out there. Right now it's 54. Just loving that perfect walking weather.

Started the day with my virtual workshop this morning. I am back on track and enjoying this quiet day. Planning, tracking, hydrating and moving forward as I house walk and stretch while smiling and aiming for blue. No shopping for me this morning. Have a wonderful afternoon everyone.

Ann HEB was busier than I thought but still not bad for a Friday. I talked to one of the employees there and they were open from 6-12 yesterday and she said it was 1:00 before she was able to leave. She said they blocked off the line of people coming in the store about 20 minutes before closing because the line wrapped around the building. I can't imagine leaving buying for Thanksgiving meal at the last minute like that. Walmart is normally open on Thanksgiving but they decided because of Covid they would close.
Bee I hope all is well with you today.
Audrey I hope you were able to go to Walgreens and were able to walk. It was showering this morning but the rain stopped for awhile so I finally got a walk in this afternoon. It was cloudy and dreary but still nice to be outside.I'm sorry Rachel didn't call.
Cathy It's always nice to have the reset button to fall back on.
MJ I know you are enjoying your much deserved break.
Ann Glad you slept well. You do such a great job at balancing your meals so you don't gain. I was up a little since yesterday and I didn't splurge but I was down 1.4 for the week so I was more than happy with that. I was getting close to my danger zone so I'm glad it went back down.
Audrey My mom didn't drive so I would drive her to Austin and she had to be there by time the malls opened. LOL. She would usually go home with all her gifts bought. This was before I was married. I would not go anywhere for Black Friday shopping anymore.
Susi Lily is adorable. There will need to be a little adjustment. Hopefully she and Frankie will get along.
June There are no black Friday shoppers at the grocery store thank goodness.I didn't even want to go to Walmart. Happy your mom was glad to see you even if you had to go twice. Free food is always a good offer especially since yours wasn't very inviting.

Wow I also can't imagine grocery shopping on Thanksgiving for your meal. Talk about waiting till the last minute.
Great job being down 1.4 for the week. I forget, do you do meetings or zoom?
It'll be an early night for me. We had turkey again tonight and it makes me tired.....

Ann I don't do either meetings or Zoom. I am online only and doing it myself. I wasn't near my goal but I was getting close to a weight I said I would never go over again and it's what I weighed when we got married. I feel better being a couple of pounds under that.

Good job, Becky. I also don't go to meetings as it's too far to travel and didn't enjoy the VM. So long as I stay in my happy zone it's all good. Only time I went over was when my surgeon asked me to. Thank goodness the added weight didn't make a difference, and I was able to get it off.

Becky my mom didn’t drive either. It’s amazing how many places they want to go when they can’t do the driving. The family that always eats with my neighbor decided Wednesday morning not to be there for Thanksgiving because the woman who was invited has had ovarian cancer and has mesothelioma. She wanted to go because in my opinion she’s not very bright but her husband and kids voted against her. With that Med was her family had to get Thanksgiving all at the last minute and apparently her husband found a turkey breast. I didn’t mention that this woman doesn’t like to cook so that’s why she always likes to go to my neighbors, It worked well for the neighbors because they had their son and his family from Washington and her daughter and family from Reno.Their other two adult children with families did not come.If the ones who canceled at the last minute I’ve been there she would’ve had to set up another table or two and get out extra dishes and everything else.
