No Thanksgiving Feast but managed to eat plenty and am up on the scale...ah well...such is life!
CHERRY: I hope your daughter enjoys going in to the office and the job she will be doing!
BEVERLY: I am sorry your son has covid-19 and hope it remains a mild case. I wonder if his wife and son will get it, too?
LYNN: I always remember too late to put the tray under things like pie, lasagna, etc... We don't have smoke alarms in the house so that is not an issue BUT the smoke is!
PAM: Love cranberry sauce...do you make yours from scratch or is it a jello mold or?

Good morning. I found a top sirloin steak in the freezer. I marinated it in a good sauce, but it was tough. The rest of the meal was fine. I cut up an apple, sprinkled it with brown sugar and cinnamon, put a topping of oatmeal, butter, and brown sugar on top and had it for dessert later in the evening along with ice cream. That was probably the best part of the meal. Today I'm going to finish up the last bit of the curtains. And be done with fibers clinging everywhere! I talked with my daughter last night and she was telling me her dinner turned out great. I had given her a recipe for a turkey dressing made with wild rice, onions, celery, cranberries, mushrooms, and bacon and she said it was a real hit. Have a nice day beaches.

We had a lovely day yesterday and everyone said the food was very good...We then had a zoom family call with about 19 of us. My two cousins in London stayed up t get on. It was a lot of fun. One of my younger cousins has Covid and she spoke to us from her bed at home. She is in the late teens and seems to be doing ok.
Did not sleep well as I guess I was overtired and had coffee too late in the day. I didn't get to sleep until 3 am. Will take a nap soon.
I straightened up the kitchen and put everything away. DD went during the zoom call and continued with it during her cab ride. She showed us pictures of the Empire State Building all lit up in Orange and red for Thanksgiving and there were hardly any people in the street.
I'm too tired to do much else today, so I will do laundry tomorrow. Tonight is leftovers. One thing I want to make with the leftovers is a pie layered with stuffing, turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies and gravy. I saw the recipe but can probably only have a sliver as it can be high in points.
I also have enough for a turkey vegetable soup...BTW, the turkey was so moist and delish...I will always brine it when I make it again...DD took home lots of leftovers!
Have a good day!

Good morning friends,
We had a really good day yesterday. There were 6 of us for dinner, then we boxed up lots of food & delivered it to the family that are quarantined. We delivered to DS & family, then to his MIL (who they had been with on Sunday), so she is also quarantined. DS is feeling better, a bit of his sense of taste came back yesterday, so he was able to enjoy his food. After dinner we skyped with family in Virginia & NY, also with DS#2. who is in Atlanta. It was really fun to see everyone at the same time. Maybe next year, we can all get together.
We have tons of left-overs for today. SIL made cauliflower someway with parmesan cheese & it was delicious. I'm sure that it is not WW approved, but very delicious. I think I will get the recipe from her & then try to modify it to WW. I think that she cooked it in the air-fryer, I have one & may have to dig it out.
I will try to get the fall decor put away today & think about getting out the Xmas stuff.
Have a great day everyone.
