FRIDAY FITNESS... Can't really say TGIF, since it is my vacation week! LOL I NEED to think about FRIDAY FITNESS, and finding "fitness" every day!!
So today - I will work towards getting my "dots" and reaching my step goal! I have absolutely nothing planned for today - except some cleaning and setting up in the guest room! Tracy is bringing Zoë home this morning. Not sure, but I may venture to Greenfield and drop her off, and pick up my PC. I think I'd rather just get it done today/this weekend, so I can be ready to start work Monday morning! Between being "behind" and having to be AT the bank by 8 it almost makes more sense to just do it on my vacation time and get it over with - less stress Monday?
Yesterday was a good day - not with my eating... and certainly NOT enough water - and not many steps! UGH! It was pouring rain when I was ready to head down for dinner - and Tracy & Ken had forgotten the pies, so I called for Ken to come get me... no walking either way... just a slug for the day! Which is why today HAS to be better - with MOVING!

Good Morning - Happy Friday! I am planning on having a very low key day - I'd like to watch a few movies on Disney+ that I keep saying, "Oh, I want to see that!" each time a commercial advertises it lol I also really enjoy some of the old Christmas movies. I did a little Black Friday Shopping this morning at Old Navy via online. I like their winter pajama pants so I bought a few for myself, a few tops for Linds as sweaters are too HOT at her internship now that she has to wear PPE over her clothes, and some stocking stuffers. I purchased the 'Downton Abbey' complete series for DM. DH is the hardest to buy for - he wants for nothing LOL - Yesterday went well! The only disappointment was our energy level - zilch - afterwards. Everyone just ran out of steam I suppose - so I did 'force' myself to invite Linds to a Scrabble game - she lit up! I feel so bad she was so disappointed in us for being 'party poopers' when she had a Game Night planned out. Awww.... Dinner went great - the turkey roasted right on time, I made tons of mashed potatoes, the Green Bean casserole, stuffing, corn and the rolls (didn't forget them, Gigi! lol) All good. Quite delicious I must say so myself. A few left overs, not as many as I expected so I will look for that Turkey Divan recipe to freeze. That is great idea! Carly had de-cluttered the entire house before dinner. We had to rein her in as I complained it looked like no one lived here! Geesh - I'm all for sorting junk mail, catalogues, papers and 'stuff' but to 'hide' my every day things is a bit over the top. She wanted a clean counter, cleaned out DR, etc. I get it, but that's not reality! LOL I did allow her to take downstairs my Screen, office chair, and gently store the work monitor, but not my decorative basket that holds our bills and papers (it has a lid so it is hidden) Geesh! lol

We are planning on bringing our Tree up and start setting it up now that the house has been de-cluttered lol That will be my Fitness for today. I may put up the outdoor Christmas garland on our front porch posts and finish it while the temps are closer to 50. SNOW mixed with rain called for next week, then looks like snow the week after. Ehh, it's to be expected.
My knees (both) are incredibly achey and swollen. Ibuprofen is not really helping - I suspect it's arthritis and 'wear and tear' of the knee that's next for TKR.
Will continue the WATER intake today. I did well yesterday.
Carole - WOW that Amanda tested Positive! You didn't work directly with her did you? But I know you were around Kaitlin when she WAS working (she had several days off didn't she?) Yep, I think you should be careful and wait that 14 days. UGH to how much your family relies on YOU to be with them! I laughed as it sounds like THEY quickly forget you were possibly exposed and could easily expose them in turn. We support you!! Wouldn't it be 'nice' to isolate?? LOL I found when I did that for ONE evening my entire family fell apart with drama and high excitement of anxiety...geeze people! Settle down! This is why I am thankful to be working from home.
Sue - I think your Thanksgiving Day sounded lovely. I know my DM was deeply disappointed and did text me a few times, "So, how many people are REALLY at your house?" as if I was throwing a secret party without her! Linds text her a few times too just to let her know we were thinking of her. WE thought about FT her or the Zoom but honestly, it would totally confuse her and she can't hear us anyway (refuses to wear her expensive hearing aids). It looked like you did get David on Zoom and you had a nice chat/visit! Oh My!! Your Sarah is a stubborn one! You are right, you will just have to wait her out. You know her best! And YES I agree with you, her and Josh's care free attitude about the pandemic makes all of us uncomfortable. I'm glad Jason sees that too.
Gabrielle - sounds like you were ready for your Thanksgiving meal! Congrats again to DS on his new job - we have an O'Reilly's here! I haven't used them yet but I have definitely gone to AutoZone for windshield wipers, or questions about our old Suzuki we used to have and those guys were awesome!! Loved that they would come out to the parking lot and fix whatever I needed. Did you take pie over to your DM's? How was she about Zooming with everyone? My aunt, who is older than my DM, communicates with ALL 7 of her children that way and is very comfortable doing it. Strange that it throws my DM off so much. Oh well... And tomorrow is Move in Day for Ty and Katelyn? ?So excited for all of you! Tomorrow is your big Run, right?? Or is it next week?

So I am hearing now that Julie called out Thursday and Friday not feeling well - so I am not sure when she had her test... hoping it was last Thursday or Friday - but wither way it seems I was in the office with her M-W, so yeah, I was "exposed"! I guess it doesn't matter either way, it is what it is, and I still feel fine!
Sue: Sounds like you were all set and I saw on FB that you were able to FT with David, so seems your day went off without a hitch! WOO HOO! LOL Yes, making myself get downstairs to get water/tea will add steps to my days. I know I need to make that a priority - "no work from home WEIGHT GAIN" this time around!! NEED to make this work FOR me!
UGH KIDS! Seriously, I am so sorry that Sarah is taking it this far - letting the hurt and anger linger... but WOW to them still going to the "Friendsgiving"?? With all those KIDS?? OY VEY! Does she want to see her kids remote learning the rest of another year???
Well I hope Auburn has better weather than I have today! LOL Dark, gray skies, foggy... hoping it will burn off - for your cousin's TG plans today!
Oh Yeah - still not sure... someone said Julie's BF works in a different school - not the one that closed - so I am not sure... but no matter "where", it is what it is! We are all paying the price! For sure... and now with Amanda having a "positive", it makes sense Kaitlin would have it! They are together outside the office... and I am sure no masks. If Amanda's symptoms appeared Friday, by Tuesday Kaitlin would have known Amanda was sick! According to her FB post, Amanda never had symptoms except "extreme fatigue and loss of taste and smell" - no cold like symptoms.
Looks like our pie total was about $400.00 profit... not too bad, and we do have some supplies to start next year, or Easter depending on what we decide.
I stayed as far away from Kathy as I could... I made sure to distance myself during dinner, and then after dinner I just sat at the DR table - I didn't join the others in the living room. We exchanged Christmas lists like we always do - again, I kept my distance from Kathy and Patti and Tim. Yes I expect to get some more "cleaning" done around here today and tomorrow... by Monday it will be a full 2 weeks since Julie was (most likely) "contagious", so I feel like by then I will be in the clear!
Sounds like Rowan had a nice BD - and no, never heard of a yo-yo with a "brain"! I'd need that kind - never could get the hang of a yo-yo!
HA! Ken and I were just talking this spring/summer about changing our island... we wanted to take out the HUGE one and opt for a smaller one! Well, after doing the pies - I guess we need to re-think that! It really was just as easy doing them here - so I will argue against going back to CrabApple again! Especially if I get my new stove/oven by next year! It would have the capability of doing up to 9 pies at a a time (third rack) and be "convection" so less cooking time and better circulation of heat! Not sure it will happen - but maybe if I order one now we can have it by next TG!!??!!
I assume the 5-7 days for test results is due to the holiday and the weekends? Not sure, but I do know that CVS has the "rapid results" but it seems the hospital does not.
LOL Mary sent party mix HOME with us! NOW to NOT eat the whole bag!! Actually right now, I can't even think of eating anything! UGH Even being there for pretty much just dinner, I did overeat... by the time I got home last night - I really didn't feel well! HATE when that happens...
Gabrielle: YAY sounds like your dinner was being timed just right too! Yeah, I am confident that I will be fine. I do not ever walk away from my desk without a mask - and like I've said if someone comes to my desk with or without a mask, I.Wear.Mine.! I even told Deb, call me a sheep - call me whatever you want, but you won't call me SICK! Even Deb is surprising me... due to this exposure she cancelled going to her DMs yesterday - just to drop off the pie! She did drive to the country club to pick up hers and her DHs dinners... they always stay home (alone) anyway. Meanwhile though she has already cancelled her family Christmas party! THAT was a surprise... yesterday she text me worried she would get sick! THIS from the woman who claimed over & over, this was all a hoax, and would be gone by November 4th! NOW she "gets it"
Anyway - yes... painting coming up - next Sunday, will check supplies this weekend to be sure we have everything we need!

Mornin' Sue & Christine ~
WOW Christine - look at you go girl! LOL I have folded a load of laundry and got more in the dryer! YAY for getting a jump on shopping! LOL Sorry your energy levels after dinner took a nose dive... mine too! I was a slug!!
WOW Sounds like Carly was on a mission! Can you send her here?? LOL I could use a de-clutter-er of my own! UGH Now you have to drag your screen and office chair back upstairs?? I'd make her go get it this weekend! LOL
Ouch - sounds like you should make the girls do the heavy lifting this weekend... take care of those knees! Water is on my list for today as well! I was going to make another pot of coffee - but decided no... I don't need to drink coffee all day - moving on to water soon!
Ahh, Nope... Amanda has her own office at the other end of our "room", and her door is shut most of the time. Oh yes, they even shut the door when Kaitlin and Jess are both in there just visiting! I will say they usually have masks on in there, but - recently Amanda and Kaitlin have been going to the gym together - so once they get to the car, masks come off! They also do not wear masks at the gym - as each cardio machine has a plastic curtain around it! Someone even asked do they clean those curtains "between people"? She said she had no idea!!
LOL Yes, I was thinking a day home alone - watching movies all day, wasn't the worst thing in the world! But I did my family duty! I too am more thankful to be working from home, than even I anticipated!
Oh your poor DM thinking you were "partying" without her.

I just did a few laps around the island and out to the back bathroom - so I got my 2nd dot for today!
List for today is laundry - some dishes - take Zoë back to Kathy's & go to the bank to grab my PC then Applebee's leftovers for dinner. I expect tomorrow, when Tracy won't have to sleep to go to work, we will begin in earnest our Christmas decorating! If the girls are here we may tackle the tree? They do want to do that - as Eden says "We've done it every year since we were born"! LOL Well, not quite, but OK by me - it is more fun with them helping ♥
I do need to start moving some DR stuff around to accommodate the new stove! Yes, KEN went pellet stove shopping - I have not seen the stove (just pictures) but he will go pick it up and the guy will come to install next Monday! It is a bit smaller than this one - apparently runs much quieter, and will have to shift a little to the right, so my DR floor space will "open up" a bit. LOL Probably not for long! I will find something to fill the space!
OK Time to get moving... might CBL - enjoy the day ♥hugs♥

Morning all....kind of gloomy around here today but fairly mild so I'm thinking Jason will spend much of his day outside....I got up about 7:00am, filled all the diffusers with "Gratitude" blend....figure it's the perfect Thanksgiving weekend oil. Last night we got all the leftovers packed up and in the fridge....not too many, a decent amount but not so many that any will go to waste. Jason will eat a "Thanksgiving feast" every day until they are gone....it's his favorite batch of leftovers. I will eat what I couldn't finish yesterday....my eyes were bigger than my stomach and when I started to get full, I stopped and packed it up for lunch today! Since I cooked everything but the sweet potatoes, once leftovers we in the fridge, I was off duty and he finished up the dishes and ran the dishwasher. I had been "washing as I went" so after dinner it was just the empty pans/bowls so it really wasn't a huge job. I did enjoy a small piece of apple pie about 8:30pm. It was fun to eat dinner "virtually" with David's gang.....we ended up FaceTiming for about an hour & a half....
Back to yesterday to see if I missed any later posts....
Carole...OH NO!! Amanda tested positive!! I'm thinking it won't be long until Kaitlin's test comes back positive. I will say that makes the virus a bit "closer" to you now!! You have much more interaction with Amanda than you do with Julie!! Stay safe my friend!!
Gabrielle...had to laugh at the burned rolls...hopefully you managed to get everything done perfectly!! We always have rolls when we are in NC but Jason and I don't usually eat any so I didn't make them this year! Well, I did get a text from Sarah last night thanking me for the pumpkin roll so that is something. No "skin off my nose" as they say....she will come around eventually and for now....I let it go!! So glad Tyler is excited about his new job....he starts today, right??? Hoping that things calm down and numbers start to level off before Christmas but right now, I think they will continue to sky-rocket. Oh yes Gabrielle....turkey does freeze well and if you don't have any big plans this weekend you can make some soups or meals this weekend and put them in the freezer ready to "thaw & heat"....will definitely be a great time save on some of your hectic work days!
Carole...thanks for starting us off this morning...I got a bit side-tracked getting back here....checked my email and there was a 75% off Black Friday Snapfish coupon for cards so I made our cards quick and got them ordered....then I went on USPS and ordered my "forever" stamps....enough holiday ones for cards this year and then some other "every day" pattern. Yesterday I got Shea's Christmas stuff ordered and will have it sent to Hannah for wrapping. I ordered all the Amazon gift cards for the boys too....Hannah already has the boys books and their perler bead gifts were also delivered by Amazon when I ordered their birthday gifts. I will send their Christmas ornaments and gift cards when they all arrive. I only have Hannah's "big" gift to get and I'm waiting for a suggestion. Sarah's gang is all done too except for the gift cards for the boys and to pick up the "Penn Township trash bags" for Sarah and Josh....their garbage collection you pay by the bag so if you make a lot of trash you pay more.....decided this year gifts were be practical so aside from the family trip to Dutch Apple...they will get trash bags. LOL!! I actually had that plan LONG before the recent "temper tantrum"!!

No Carole...none of us can really say TGIF this week since the longest any of us work was until Wednesday!! I will say I'm looking forward to lazy day today. While I didn't go anywhere yesterday I was busy all day with the dinner prep!! Today I have nothing planned except to give Jason a haircut! Yes, makes sense if you are going to Greenfield anyway to drop Zoe off again to get the PC while you are there so you don't have to make an extra trip to town on Monday! Sorry the rains kept you from getting a nice walk in to head to DS's yesterday!!
Christine...glad you will enjoy a nice low -key day today too. YAY for some BF shopping too! While BF isn't "normal" this year you have to snag the deals when they pop up! I have tried some of Old Navy pj pants in the past and they didn't fit right...might need to check them out again...do you find they run true to size, or small??? I found in the past they ran small and were just not comfy. Carly cracks me up with her "decluttering" spurt! Yes, I get it but sometimes you just can't "hide" things you use every day. You better make sure CARLY brings the screen and chair back up for you!! YES....good idea to get the garland up today before the snow & slop comes later in the week. We have a rainy Monday on tap but no "flakes" in our forecast!
Oh yes Christine....Sarah gets her stubborn side from her dad's side of the family believe it or not. When he and his parents would dig in their heels, they were not budging!! My big fear is that one of them will actually contract COVID and spread it! Then I'd want to say..."hoax, really" But I will not stoop to that but I know I will think it! We actually did enjoy our quiet Thanksgiving and it was fun to still enjoy "dinner" with David's bunch. He was jealous of my stuffing and boil onions.....not to mention the homemade apple pie! He had Wegman's stuffing & pie and NO onions! LOL!! Next year!
Carole...sounds like more the "big picture" and time line for the exposure is coming to light...yes, it does sound like you were exposed but as you said, you wear your mask and so does Julie and any contact you had with her is very limited!! You are feeling fine so that is a GREAT thing! Loss of taste/smell is a BIG red flag....that is one of the big symptoms. I'm glad Amanda isn't really "down for the count" but they say it hits everyone differently. Will be eager to hear Kaitlin's result but I'm thinking positive! I haven't heard from Carol yet about their TG today....will check in with here a little later! They are supposed to eat around 3:00pm.
$400 is an AWESOME pie sale!! Glad you were forced to do your pies at home this year so you could "re-think" the island in the kitchen. Sounds like with the new oven next year and the big island you have now....pie baking has found a new venue! I'm sure it is easier than the lugging all the supplies to CrabApple!! LOL...hopefully you won't have a long wait for a stove/oven but maybe you should order now just to be on the safe side!
I was thinking about making some party mix this weekend but it truly is my weakness so might just put it off until next weekend. Sorry you over ate Carole and have to "avoid" the party mix your DS sent home with you!
Oh....did I tell you all that my massage for next week was cancelled and postponed until the end of January....just to be on the safe side. Holly has some underlying conditions like asthma so she doesn't want to take any chances with the HUGE spike in cases here. I'm bummed but I understand....best to be safe!
Speaking of painting I need to see what kind of "green" she mentioned...I know I don't have it so I need to figure out which one of mine is the closest! I'm excited to join all of you for our painting afternoon.
Carole...I love that Eden wants to help you decorate the tree...after all, she has been doing it "since they were born"! Were they running BF sales on pellet stoves?? Sounds like with a bit of tweaking the new one will be great!! Quieter is a good thing....as long is it keeps you warm and toasty. A newer one might be more efficient too!!
OK...time for Jason's haircut...will pop in later! Have a great day all!

Good Morning everyone
Well we did TG dinner and for some reason it was harder than all the rest I have ever had. I was hot and tired by the end of the day and exhausted also. I think it was because in the past my sister was here to help and this year I missed her. DH went and picked up his father and brought him over. It's really sad because they won't let anyone in at the memory care facility to see DH mom and I guess she keeps calling DFIL to have him come get her. DFIL is really feeling bad that he had to do it, but as I told him she's in the best possible place that she could be in.
My parents came over and my poor Dad has fallen down again. I offered him Kerry's walker to get around but he said NO. I said it's better than falling down and getting all bruised up, but he wasn't having none of it at all.
Oh my Carole so sorry to hear about Amanda and Kaitlyn and Julie testing positive for Covid. I am happy your working from home. I hope you don't get it. I'm happy I work by myself for the most part. It's really getting scary at how there's more and more case's everyday. New pellet stove sounds nice. I'm going to go to Fred Meyers in a little bit to see if my boots are on sale and that's about it for me and BF deals, I see more people are just shopping from the computer this year which is safer.

Sue I can't believe that Josh and Sarah believe that Covid is a hoax! It's not a hoax it's very real and over 250,000 people have died from it. It's nothing to mess around with. She is a stubborn one isn't she. Our paint class is next weekend I'm going to have to look into my kit and see the instructions on how to get onto the zoom class to paint with everyone. Audrey has her Senior Picture's on Saturday Dec 5th and our paint class is the 6th, it will be a busy weekend. I saw all the good food on FB yesterday and happy you had a great dinner.
Gabrielle I'm glad Max got his job at O' Rilleys when does he start? Yes it was a bit different this Thanksgiving but nice and quiet. Did you get to your mom's with everything yesterday and I think you were all going to zoom yesterday with all your family. I just saw on the news that a bunch of people met on the capital lawn and set tents up and held a potluck TG dinner to defy the Gov Kate Browns order to keep TG dinner to only 6 people. I mean there were at least 200 people down there yesterday. I just can't believe it. People are so spoiled and out of control anymore.
Christine that's funny about Karly cleaning everything up. Audrey cleaned for me yesterday but that was just sweeping and mopping oh and she dusted for me also. She was quite helpful in the kitchen peeling potato's also. I can't believe your DM, she thinks your throwing a big feast and inviting everyone but her LOL that's funny. Glad you got some BF deals on the computer. I think I'm going to put up our tree tomorrow and get that done and ready for Christmas.
OK need to get running for now

Watching the Macy's Parade that I recorded yesterday since I was buzzing around the kitchen in the morning. So far it's pretty good....different w/o the crowds but something "sort of normal" for the holiday!!
Jenny....sorry TG dinner took a lot out of you...I'm sure it's a combination of many factors! I will say that I said to Jason right before we got ready to FaceTime with David "this is so much easier when David and I do it together"! I was tired too! I'm sure it's hard for DFIL especially over the holiday but you are right....she is in the safest place right now....he can't take care of her safely any longer. Oh no, not another fall for DD.....why does he NOT want the walker??? Pride??? I think I'd get tired of falling. One time he's going to fall and really hurt himself!!
Yes Jenny....I've been doing mostly online shopping this year. I usually do a lot online every year except stocking stuffers! I think the biggest part of the whole COVID thing with Josh is that he is a "Trumper" and Trump always has and continues to make light of the virus....the fact that he had a mild case was just more fuel for his banter that the virus is NOT that serious and will just go away. I know the people at work that are also faithful Trump followers feel the same way....masks are stupid, they are infringing on my rights, they don't save, stop living in fear, yadda, yadda, yadda....
I think I may go downstairs and wrap a few gifts to put under our tree this year. Since it is artificial I don't have to worry about blocking Jason's way to water it. I have been using my "Evergreen Essence" essential oil on a diffuser ornament on the tree to help bring the scent of the fresh cut tree into the house. Will say, I'm loving the tree and honestly can't say I miss the real one except for the scent but I "have an oil for that"!!
Must made myself a cup of hot apple cider....and will head back to the recliner to keep watching the parade!!
