morning everyone!! Crazy day yesterday with the folks. Dad's caregiver may be sick so precautions have gone into high gear. Fingers crossed. I hope everyone is chilling and enjoying the long weekend 😊 I am IN! *Just a reminder this is an open thread for accountability. Just a quick "I'm IN!" Helps keep your head in the game. We are here for you if you need a place to check in for the day 😉☕️☕️☕️☕️

I’m IN!
I remember Saturday morning cartoons - they were the best.
Crossing my fingers with you debdoesww.
Christmas tree going up today. I have a cute 4’ silver tree that I really like. Last year I kept it up until March.
Have a great day

Hope your dad is ok - scary stuff Rainy here, supposed to get chilly later. JD should get his covid test results in 2-3 days. If it's negative I told him to get retested next Friday as well since his exposure could have been as late as last Monday. Just being cautious.

Hope your dad and his caregiver are okay.
The Thanksgiving decorations are put away and the sled and reindeer parts are out on the lawn to be assembled. Since I am not home for Christmas, I keep the decorations very simple. Just a small tree and my Loveland ornament display inside. Sled, reindeer, stick Santas and lights for the outside.

thank you everyone! DotRen fingers crossed for JD too. susiq25679 how is Lily enjoying her new home? We need to hear all the cuteness. healthyjoy we have a "rose gold" pencil one we had at the hotel after Harvey. It is now our official tree. We just put it in a closet upstairs and keep it decorated. After all the craziness yesterday I ordered my mom a flocked pencil one and did a pick up for it last night. We are going to go over and decorate it in their garage today, that way they have something that says holidays since Mom is so stressed out. And we can just slide it in their back door and it will be light enough she can move it around. 🎄it is amazing how decorations can lift a spirit.

I'm IN. Sorry to read that you're starting the hollyDAZE with sickness concerns, DebDoesWW. We've done breakfast, Nature Trail, petting zoo, and looong walk back along the lake. Now for lunch and nap.

Slothlike is a great term for today. I did my bloodwork and covid test for my procedure on Thursday this morning. Got it done by 8:30 and was ready to go back to bed! I didn't but as soon as Rick is done putting snow tires on his truck and changing the oil, it will be naptime!!
I heard there were tornado's in parts of Texas and surrounding states. Is everyone OK?
Sending lots of love and support to Deb and DotRen

LOL Deb, we are too busy moving. I forgot how active a young pit is! She is doing good with the cats and only chased Jack once. She is totally different from Charlie so I don't expect the same crazy dog stories. This is her 5th home since March so I'm trying to give her lots of time and space to adjust. How is the kitten?

hpeterson1951, none here that I know of, just getting rain. ❤️ susiq25679 I bet she is keeping you busy. How sad she is on her 5th home in such a short time. Plus all the medical stuff on top of that. It is a good thing you are so loving and patient, she probably will be a handful until she knows she is officially home. Dora is about 1/4th the size of the other cats so she stands on her hind legs and swats at the other cats then RUNS 😂 they just roll their kitty eyes at her.
