My blessing is my church. I haven't been in several months but I can watch online and my Sunday School teacher\retired pastor calls every Saturday. Today I talked to our pastor. I'm so ready for the vaccine and to get back to doing things.

Wish I could get in the habit of sleeping regular normal people hours but it just doesn't seem to work no matter how I try. I guess it really doesn't hurt anything ...
I'm afraid of that virus too Lucy... ready for a vaccine.. I have an appointment coming up on thursday that I am going to cancel.. not going anywhere that isn't a strict necessity.. Virus is rampant ... not going out if i don't have to.. Not taking any chances.
I don't have those plates that are compartmentalized.. but I have freezer containers that hold exactly a whole dinner for me. I have two different sizes.. They are rectangular and stackable.. take up less room than round things do... I label them so I know what is in them. Today I ate the last of the ham except for what I put in the freezer.. My freezer is really too big for just me Of course I do make the dogs food and put it in there.. and I don't shop except every three weeks so the freezer comes in handy.. if I didn't have it I would have to shop more often...
Linda, I do ask for help.. I ask my son and granddaughter... but I don't know many people around me.. Remember we only moved here about five years ago.. .. Maybe if my daughter straightens her act up she will be around to help out too.. she turned her back when I needed the most help... the other day she brought food and that's the first time I ve seen her in seven months.. she didn't go to macs service.. I will never feel the same toward her again.. I will get along but the feeling isn't the same..
Today I managed to wash the towels and get those dried. I wrapped the fruit cakes in foil and got them in the freeezer, and opened three big boxes of stuff I bought from walmart.. they all delivered at the same time. I buy stuff that can be shipped through the mail so my pickup orders won't be so big.
Kathie, don't be afraid of norco.. I took it for seven years.. and I didn't get addicted.. I had to quit taking it though when I had a bad reaction to it and ended up in the ER with a headache that wouldn't quit... Can't take it anymore.. my list of things I can't take is getting longer and longer.. I have a terrible time with medications anymore.
Tomorrow I need to call and see what I can find out about that wheel chair.. dread doing that.

Molly Jim has shared custody of his daughter with his ex-wife so has her every other week. So she does have her own room. On Thanksgiving it was heartwarming to see the bond beginning to form between Maija and her as her two older sisters are out of the house and Maija never had a sibling. His ex-wife lives just a few blocks away with her boyfriend so his daughter can also pop in whenever she wants to.
Jim and Debbie are hoping his daughter who had to push back her destination wedding waits until next Fall and not Spring as it will be in Puerto Rico and since the airline insists on you having the rapid COVID test before getting on the plane which costs $150 and if you test positive will not let you board so would also lose the cost of the ticket he wants to be able to have the vaccine so they don’t have to worry about it as the rapid test would be $600 for Debbie, Jim, Maija and Madison and I have no idea what the plane tickets will cost.
Nothing happening here today. I found the Bob Evans mashed sweet potatoes so plan on having that with a steak today. Might fix the Green Giant marinated mushrooms along with it. After 5 have to call the jury commission and I hope they confirm no jury duty as the 10th circuit judge has pushed back all jury trials until January so shouldn’t have to report tomorrow but will see what the recorded message says. I tried calling it earlier but forgot the line doesn’t activate until 5 today.

Jenny: I'm getting more like you....Couldn't sleep. My allergies are raging....I know I'm allergic to black mold which is rampant here but might be something else too now 'cause I just couldn't settle down to sleep tonight. I've been up at least 10 times and finally just got up. I've been up since 4AM. So, with all the ups and downs I've had just 3 hrs. and 16 mins. sleep. I'm glad I wear my Fitbit so I know just how poorly I slept. I guess today will have to be a nap day.
See you all later for tuck in!

I think with the warmer temps this fall the allergies are really bad. Enough those of us that don’t usually suffer from them. When I told my neighbor that I was , she said I have that every day ! Guess I better not expect sympathy from her . She is pretty funny likes to one up me. Wonder what she will say now that the big tree is gone in her yard and I’m still picking up sticks in mine,
I am am slowly learning to post on the IPad. Think I found the button that remembers my log in. I swear it wasn’t there yesterday. Lol.
Hope DD is coming in to pick up groceries today maybe she will stop and help me get a new computer ordered. I honestly am not sure if the one I like is okay or not don’t know all the language of the specs. Only thing I really understand for sure is the size of screen. Lol. And the brand.
My blessing today is I feel like myself. And have some energy. It is to warm up today in 50’s so looking forward to getting outside stuff done. Fall stuff in and Christmas lights put up . Will need help with big tall Wooden snowlady. She’s in basement. Goes on front porch sometime .

Hi all,
Yesterday was very productive, bathrooms cleaned, ironing done, floor cleaned (till I spilt some milk on them this morning), some shopping done, grocery list made, and now time to P L A Y!! Today will make a quick grocery run and tomorrow will be Costco. Hope to cut some more pieces for my Christmas cards, I know I'll receive one anywhere between the first and third of December if not earlier. My blessing is all of the many people who helps get the food to my table, the farmers, truck drivers, rail road workers, stocker cashiers, the farm workers, etc.
Jenn, please don't take this the wrong way, but maybe you need to step back and take an objective look at the situation (and I know that is very difficult to do), remember it take two to tango and someone needs to make the effort to make amends, and as Michelle Obama says, "take the high road", and your, daughter may think the same about you, "straightens her act up she will be around to help out too." It could be that her initial attempt was on Thanksgiving day when she brought you some food. She may be feeling guilty for what she did to Mac, or is having a hard time dealing with her grief, who knows and I don't want to begin to make excuses for her behavior. I don't expect you to have the same feelings as before, only to be cordial and try to find a place in your heart to forgive. Again, i do know that is hard, because I have had things happen to me in the past by one of my brothers, and although I haven't forgiven him, nor forget, I try not to have that dictate on how I react to him on those rare occasions that we are in the same room together. I try to be cordial and civil and not make things tense, and yes it is hard. I hate to break this to you and everyone else, but we're not all perfect even though we would like to believe we are. As a t-shirt I once had said, "Please be patient with me, God is not done with me". I know you can do it, you are the bigger person and it will take time and patience, it will not happen over night, just look within.
Sandy, I'm glad the blended family is working out for everyone.
Kathie, sorry you're dealing with allergies, and although I have mine year round I do sympathize with those who done.
Connie, glad your feeling better.
Lucy, it may sound like I get out a lot, but only to do what needs to be done. Everything that I buy gets wiped dow before going in the car, required masks, hand sanitizers, door handles and everything I touch before loading the car, and of course wiping down the carts before and after use. There is only so much that I can do to stay safe, especially since there are three confirmed cases in my office this past week.
Diane, there are self driving cars on the market already - when will you be getting yours? ;oP
Well ladies, I reckon I'd better put the breakfast dishes in the sink and get ready fo a grocery run, and sorry for babbling on and on again but as you know that is me. Have a wonderful day everyone and may you all have something that makes you smile and fills your heart with love and joy, remember it does not have to be anything big or planned usually it's those small spontaneous events that brings us joy.
Family Blessings Linda

Well now I have a small blessing, well maybe a big one. Have my computer back. Will still get a new one but DD says to order new power strip, she just moved the plugged to another area on it and also made sure all the rest of the plugs are in tight., It came back and took awhile but hooray. I never turn it off per her orders and I didn't and it is old and slow (like me). so after Christmas I will have her help me pick out a new one. I saw one I really like but will limp along with this one for now. so hooray for DD !!
My lights are all on the porch railings one long one and one short one. Just have to put the extension cords on. I did try them out before I put it on the railing. I wasn't going to do that but snow this week end and very cold next weekend.
I need to get some milk made with my powdered milk. I use so little I just ordered a can of powdered and sometimes only make a glass. No more dumping milk. Have been doing this since the last time we were isolated at home.
I got pictures of Emma today from DGD. they have a lot of really cute clothes that her best friend passes on to her and the holiday ones were not worn at all or only once. The Thanksgiving one is adorable A skirt and a top with a big turkey on front. lot of orange, brown and yellow . I wish I could put picture on here but they don't want me to. they are not on facebook either nor am I.
Well back to work!! Just wanted to let you know my good news. I love my computer room and my PC. DD is the same way she has a corner in the basement in the big family room. After working on her business computer all day she gets frustrated with IPad and lap top.

Connie, you never turn your computer off? I shut mine down after every use.
Jenny, I haven't had fruitcake in a long time. Not many folks like one.
Sandy, I have been able to get out of jury duty because of age since I was 70, I think.
Kathie, I always try to keep up with what is going on with you and Jim.
Diane, son wants a self driving car.
Linda, I would rather do grocery pick up and order what I need to be delivered from Amazon or Walmart. I get out as little as possible. More than germs on the items, I am afraid of coming in contact with a carrier. Friday when I went to Braum's there were 2 men in the check out line without masks as I walked in the door.
Bill came for lunch and I served turkey soup and cornbread. I sent some home with him. I have enough for at least 2 more meals. The TV is a challenge to him so he worked on it most of the time. He said not to get rid of cable just yet. We only played one remicub game. He won.
It is cold today, but the sun is shining. Very windy.52 now and to be 32 tonight.
Have a great afternoon and evening.

My blessing for today is my computer. I use it to pay most of my bills, check the balance, get information from my friends, watch movies, and play games. I watched church on line and did a load of laundry.

Lucy, nope never My DD who works with computers all the time,( her's and her whole office relies on her expertise.)says it is too hard on them to start and stop. They go into sleep mode which is better for them. My computer has gone way past the time they think they should last. It is just that it is way behind the times. And has slowed down a lot.

Lucy, I don't turn my laptop or iPad off when done, like Connie said it goes into sleep mode also it's also easier on the unit. Connie, my son says the same thing, just close it.
Nancy, I'm not comfortable with paying bills on line, but half of my bills are on autopay, those are the ones that I pay extra on.
Lucy, what kind of self-driving car does your son want? Again, they are out there.
After the grocery went to mom's for a bit and came home. Did watch one Christmas movie, might watch another tonight. Well, tomorrow kids go back to school or do they? Will be interesting.
Sandy, for December, I'll be Holiday Cheer.

Nancy, yes the computer is a blessing.
Well, y'all, I guess I could leave mine on all the time and let it go to sleep. I guess the problem is I am afraid I might get hacked. I have been hacked before but I was not on secure internet at the time. I always put my laptop in airplane mode when I shut it down too. Another precaution. If I leave it on wouldn't I have to leave it plugged in so the battery wouldn't die?

You don't un plug it you just close out whatever you have been working on and and that is it. Don't turn it off! It goes into sleep mode on it's own .
