Good Morning ~ Today I plan to focus on keeping it SIMPLE! I know I need to dash to the grocery store to get meat and freeze it but would like to plan out a few more meals before heading there later this morning. I had hoped to 'sleep in' today but nah, I was wide awake at 4:45 AM lol (that's the time I usually wake for Work) Yesterday was a full day but all good! I spent some time doing bills then took a phone call from a dear friend who is having a rough time of it right now - made myself a late breakfast (omelet) then cleaned and cleaned the kitchen! Had to put away the casserole dishes, large pots and pans and empty the dishwasher only to fill it again. I am pleasantly surprised to report the Kitchen is STILL clean! lol Unheard of in this household. On Friday the Girls dragged the large Tree up as well as carried tote after tote of decorations up the stairs for me. They brought down all the Fall decorations which I tried to put away as they kept bringing me bits here and there lol Did some laundry - then we cleaned the LR, rearranged furniture, and set up the Christmas Tree. It's a pre-Lit one and true to form, one or two strings will NOT light and NO I refuse to try each individual bulb to see which one needs replaced! I put up an extra string of white lights instead. LOL. DONE. But it did take a LOT of patience to fluff each branch and I'm still not very satisfied with the bottom half as I see a LOT of bare spots. Carly convinced me to just STOP and allow decorations to 'fill in' those spots that apparently only bother me. Linds had to go to work at the Brewery. Carly drifted upstairs...so I finished up the outdoor Garland and yep, was somehow short one extension cord. How did that happen?? And the garland I put around the front door would not light so, nope, didn't put one up around the door which in truth, is the toughest to do. It required hammering in large pins to hold the garland in place and I just didn't have it in me this year to climb up and down the step ladder with the hammer and pins - only to have the darn garland blow down during a strong wind storm - it still looks good. And LOL, no one mentioned it!! But I did run to the hardware store for that last extension cord - stopped at Aldi's real quick for milk, bread, and a few staples, but dashed out of there real quick - back home and finished the outdoor lights, and ahhh took time for my recliner! During all this decorating and cleaning on Friday I tweaked my back. OUCH. It just plain hurt to the point where I did call my chiropractor - left a message to hopefully get in to see her next week. Meanwhile I put heat, then ice, then tried pressure spot in the recliner...nope...finally put "IcyHot" cream on it and HOORAY that offered much relief!! It just has such a strong menthol smell...

Saturday was a good day - I made sure to stop and drink WATER throughout my day which seemed to go well - the Girls decorated the Tree yesterday, I helped, fussed around a bit, kept things organized, and just enjoyed their company Only thing left is the top of the Kitchen cabinets - remember, that is my one area I procrastinate the most! LOL Today I plan to dust, clean and put away the Fall decorations from up there and replace with the Winter decorations (snowmen, poinsettias, and cute sayings). I try to avoid Santa or Christmas items up there as they STAY until Spring lol Took a nice walk with Colby later - temps were in the 40s but SUNNY so I took advantage. Slow moving for us both lol as my back still hurts and the poor Pup with her 'collapsed esophagus' sounds like she's choking when she walks too far. We are a pathetic pair! For dinner DH and I did venture over to the Brewery - not crowded at all so we thought we'd do our part supporting Small Business Saturday lol I ordered their Fish Tacos - YUMMM!! OMG why did I wait so long to try them? - would definitely get those again and the best part, I did not feel bloated afterwards or have heartburn. Lately every thing I eat causes those issues - so I'm trying to eat slower, decrease portions, and pay attention to what is causing such side effects - Had plenty of time to READ for enjoyment yesterday! It really was a good day! I have not watched any movies yet but maybe today I will - DH's football game is on at 1:00 and our Steelers were again postponed to Tuesday. So no late game he HAS to watch - but we all know he will stay glued to the TV watching other games. It's fine. It's his 'thing' lol

Gabrielle - thanks for the tip that Virgin River season #2 is already out! I thought the plan was for December but hey, close enough! I might tune in now and then - DD22 Linds and DH and I have been watching the Crown - but only when the 3 of us are together. No one is allowed to watch it ahead of the others...lol...silly rule. DD24 has been watching that series on that family that raised their children with NO electronics, videos, or cell phones - plain farm country living - home schooled and now that the kids are older they are starting to realize how much they have missed in their own world. I can't remember, it's called Plainville or something? It's interesting but I have such a long list of other shows I would rather be watching! lol Glad you had a good weekend so far - how did the house move go?? That is so inconvenient about the carpet guys postponing! I remember when Gary and I had our first house, we had NO furniture in the living room yet! lol We sat on the floor and did not care, we were so excited and proud of our house!
Sue - whew, glad you could get a jump start on the MEAP for Monday too. Sounds like Saturday was quite productive. Ohh boy, to Sarah's planned Christmas Gift this year - I know, I know, it was thought out ahead of time but yikes - let's hope she appreciates where you are coming from and not read deeper into it - I get you are just aiming for Practical, but lol, you'll have to let us know how that one goes over. Sounds like your Friday was nice and relaxing. Good for you!
Carole - wow, to how easily the COVID virus impacted your department. Yes, keep monitoring your health until Tuesday (Day 14) but it does sound like you dodged it all as Kaitlyn and Amanda were symptomatic when you were not there or even near them your last days before Vacation - wow. Oh good for a new Pellet Stove - maybe it will heat up the room nicely and hopefully save you some space in your DR - sorry about your Tracy jumping the gun and loading up the truck right then and there. Ugh ...sounds like my Carly. She means well but 'what's your hurry?" right ?? I love that you feel ready for Monday - rumor has it here we may be remote from home through December - I secretly hope so - as our numbers are just spiking -
Jenny - sounds like you did your best for a nice Thanksgiving Dinner. I feel so bad for your DFIL and even your own DF - sorry DFIL in catching the brunt of the move for DMIL but when she becomes agitated and combative she needs specialized care which DFIL just can't provide at this time. My DM's closest friend has Alzheimer's and her husband tried to care for her in their home but I remember seeing them at a funeral and was surprised just how 'mean' and agitated and bossy Judy had become and so not like her former personality. I could not imagine living with someone with so many needs. Emotionally draining. How is your DD doing? I totally get your position in wanting to offer the walker but his refusing. My DM is the same - she needs a cane or something as she walks horribly and she claims 'it's my other knee' when in reality it's her hip or she needs to follow up with PT to walk better. She just refuses. Drives my brother nuts. She refuses to walk anywhere in her nice neighborhood - I know, I'm not one to judge as I don't always follow my own advice as far as walking more.
I hope everyone has a good day - let's keep it SIMPLE and be sure to have a Plan going into this coming week!!

Morning all...another nice sunny day here in Glenville. Jason said yesterday that at least the weather was nice this weekend since were are at home....would have been a long weekend for him if it rained all day everyday! Guess that's HIS gratitude for the weekend. Need to start with a bit of "gratitude catch up".....
Day #27 Gratitude: A work holiday....we have very few "holidays" at work since we don't follow the federal/state holidays like the post office and banks so when they arrive I cherish the day off w/o having to use vacation time. I especially love Thanksgiving since it's a long 4 day weekend that always lets us get away to David's for the weekend (except this year of course) and sometimes the others, like Christmas and NY this year fall perfectly for a couple extra long weekends during the year!! Day #28 Gratitude: "Perfect Timing"....and yes, I'm talking about work on this one....with the sudden departure of Tonya from the office at the end of November when we already lose 2 working days to get things done AND have two fairly large MEAPs set to drop the last two days of the month...I am VERY grateful that they BOTH dropped a day early so that tomorrow will NOT be a total disaster and I should manage to get out of work at a fairly reasonable hour!!
Carole...thanks for starting us off yesterday! EXACTLY....best to keep the process of planning and prepping for the work week even though you will be working from home. Not only will it keep your program on track but it will also allow you to have that 1/2 hour of "down time" at the end of your work day so that Tracy and Ken aren't barking about what's for dinner. You can stay upstairs and relax for a bit, instead of driving home, and then come down and get dinner finished up as usual!
Honestly, never heard of a "black box" except for boxed wine! LOL!! Will be anxious to hear how it all goes....hopefully MUCH smoother than last time when it was all "spur of the moment"! Glad you didn't have the girls yesterday so you could have some "down time" and get everything set up to start bright and early on Monday!
Gabrielle...sorry many of your running group seem unconcerned by the current state of the virus surge....glad you start a little early to get "out of the pack". Funny how I got up yesterday at about the same time you posted and it was already in the upper 40's here and you were still in the 30's....big switch from just a month ago when we were cold and you were still HOT!! LOL, doesn't matter if DM talked over everyone...the fact you were all "together" on TG is what was most important!
Gabrielle seems like many work places lately are starting to mirror the community with the increase in cases....up until Tonya's family and Doug's wife we had no one quarantined at Sheridan since April....we have only had 1 case at Sheridan and that was also back in April....now it seems to be creeping ever closer. We just need to all continue to be diligent with our masks and distancing. Right now it's all we can do. Hoping your principal and his wife, being older, continue with the milder symptoms and the spread doesn't go any further.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes, Simple Sunday... Please make it so!! LOL
Actually I have nothing to complain about - I had a very low key day yesterday, got a few things done, but very low key! No rush (other than trash) after that I think Tracy got my hint that it was not about following a schedule all day!
The last pie was made, dishes done, laundry done, hutch cleaned out and moved/refilled... desk moved (in dining room), my work space is set up and ready to "go", although it would not connect yesterday - so tomorrow morning will be a flurry of activity trying to get on line and connect with the bank network... all things I have done before, but to be honest, I don't remember the HOW to do it! My note (of course) are in my overhead at work! So will be calling IT at 8 AM to get logged on!! I truly am not stressing over it (yet), there will be plenty of time for that! LOL I am scheduled to be off Wednesday, but now if Kaitlin is out, I am not sure what I will do about my day off?
Meanwhile - it is 45 degrees here, slated to hit 50 and bright sun - so I shall enjoy the day in some way today!!
For now, I will catch up here with another cup of coffee ♥

Carole...sorry Tracy came home and interrupted your "me day" and took it upon herself to gather the trash and head to the transfer station...hoping that once you got home she let you alone! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Amanda was having symptoms and still went to a party!! Why can't people smarten up and use those God given brains!?!? Well I guess a good thing is the minimal contact with Amanda but since the trio of Jess, Amanda and Kaitlin are often together, it sounds like won't be long before Kaitlin and Jess are likely the next positive cases. I HOPE this will smarten them all up!! Maybe?
According to Jason, on Friday when he ran the lawn mower over to the guys who services them he said the traffic and the stores around here were not too busy/crowded. We'll see but I have a feeling there will be a large surge around here too!
OK Carole...what did I miss?? Why are you off on Wednesday??
Bummer no BF sale on the stove but I'm sure Ken found a good deal and the perfect replacement for your old one. Had to laugh that the old one had picked up rattles & vibrations....sounds like Jason's Corolla. The day he took my car for the oil change I drove the Corolla and forgot how "noisy" that thing was....my CR-V is so quiet! We too have a 100% chance of rain day tomorrow.....that is why Jason is scrambling to get all the leaves cleaned up today. All the leaves have finally dropped off the trees so it's time to get that job done!
Honestly Carole...I'm doing anything "immune boosting" I can these days. Jason is still rolling Thieves on his feet daily.....I have Thieves daily in my Ningxia and so far we have been healthy for a long time.....and if a little extra immune support helps us weather the COVID storm....I'm in! Yes, you are lucky to have already been out and on vacation when Kaitlin started working with symptoms! Fingers crossed your limited interaction and proactive mask/distancing practices have paid off!
I was going to decorate out tree this weekend too but decided to let it go until next weekend....it's supposed to rain next weekend here so instead of helping me decorate inside, I told Jason to go out this weekend and get the yard finished up. Besides, we usually are in NC this weekend and next weekend is the usual "tree trimming" weekend. The lights are beautiful and I am thoroughly enjoying them.
WOW Gabrielle, didn't shed any clothes?? I would have thought once you got moving you would have warmed up some! Glad it was a good "final long run"!! Bummer the carpet won't come until Wednesday but I guess best to take advantage of the UHaul rental yesterday and get that part done. Hopefully they won't have to work around too much on Wednesday. What rooms are they putting carpet down in?? YAY for Max being at work and good 1st day on Friday.
Oh yes Gabrielle...I am SO GLAD Gloria and I opted to work yesterday.....having the MEAP done is a HUGE thing and will make tomorrow not so hectic! Well, since it was only David and I that had to coordinate dinner at the same time it was not too hard. Originally we were planning to eat at 1:00pm to include Colton but when we opted to just do dinner alone it was easy to shift our timing 3 hours and have lunch as usual with David! LOL, yes, I never did make it back last night...I just vegged in the recliner, watching Hallmark, enjoying leftover TG dinner....plan to do much the same today. Only thing I will prep for the week is some HB eggs in the IP....if we start to run low on the leftovers later in the week I can make something then on the fly!
Christine...thanks for getting us started today....SIMPLE it will be here! I need it for sure!! Yes, best to have a FULL and thorough shopping list before heading now....if you get plenty this trip you won't need to make any extra trips to the store later in the week. As I said before my list's tend to be more thorough and plan for 2-3 weeks instead of the weekly shopping I used to do...I've gotten used to it now so likely will continue after the COVID Chaos is over. LOL....our kitchen is still clean too! Jason had washed up all the TG pans and ran the dishwasher...then he emptied it Friday morning so we have been just putting things in there and with no cooking, no pans or extra stuff. I know it won't last long but for now, I'm enjoying it!

SENSIBLE Saturday ~ Did OK... could be better - could have been worse? Tracked the day - went over my calorie budget, so starting today I am buckling (back) down! Need to focus!
Sue: UGH Glad you got the OT yesterday, and feel pretty good about heading into work on Monday!
Gabrielle: WOO HOO for the kids moving in and making the most of the carpet delays! Sorry you can't be there to help! How is DS21 liking the job?? Sounds kind of like a perfect day, just laying around for a while! Sounds like Ed is beginning to appreciate his time with you these days too ♥ YAY for him eating the turkey!!
Mornin' Christine ~ Thanks for starting us off today ☼ I hope you are enjoying some sunshine too! Good luck getting a few meals planned - and shopped for!
I pulled chicken yesterday that I will cook today. Today will be a nice chicken, potatoes, veggie dinner. I will cook the sheet pan fajita chicken today to have some night this week. There will be enough chicken left for my salads during the week, and a stir fry one night too! Oh may do the stirfry tonight, with rice - since we just had potatoes last night with pork!
WOO HOO for a (still) clean kitchen! Mine is Eh... still better than usual - but not as clean as pre-pies! LOL Glad you could talk with/help a friend... yes this is certainly (another) difficult time. LOL Yes, I too have to keep "fluffing" but I do a little each day... it was looking good until Tracy SPUN THE TREE! UGH! WHY??? Apparently there was one light that looked "yellow" instead of white - only SHE had noticed it - but now I need to re-fluff some spots! WHEW! You had a busy couple of days - I hope that today you can have a nice laid back kind of day. LOL well I guess not a lazy day for you! Still so much decorating!
I do miss that "space" above my kitchen cabinets... we closed that space in when we renovated the kitchen - Christmas is the only time I miss it!
YAY for stopping and drinking your water... I was mindful of that as well - BUT - have allowed wine to drift back into my days! After today - the wine will be once again GONE, so I will not be buying it again, especially while working from home! LOL
UGH Sorry you have been hit with heartburn lately... not a fun side effect to eating! Hope you can grab a movie day - while DH is watching his games! Football will be on here as well - but I will either be decorating/cleaning or upstairs watching movies!
Yes, I continue to feel fine - very tired, but I think that's "just me"! I am not reading "Covid" into my being tired! Amanda posted her only symptoms were "extreme fatigue, and loss of taste and smell" Well I can still taste and smell, and not sure I'd call my tired as "extreme"! Hard to feel sorry for her or Kaitlin - symptoms or not, they should NOT have been going to a party last Friday anyway!
Yes, looking forward to the new stove, just quieter will be so NICE! More efficient will be a bonus! LOL

Good morning!
Getting my shopping list ready---today will be focused on hitting the ground running tomorrow. With cases of COVID at my school sites, I will be the "admin in charge" which means time away from the other things that I had planned for this week. I want to feel on top of things from the get-go. Yesterday I wound up not getting much done around here (I am sorry to say). I wanted to take a couple of hours to relax after my long run and then DS26 called and we wound up spending the afternoon at their house moving things out of the UHaul. I think that, after last night, they are all moved in. Granted, there are piles of things on the enclosed porch waiting for the carpet to get laid before the "real" set up. But now the place they have been leasing can be advertised and, perhaps, they won't have too many months with a least AND a house payment.
Christine: Sounds like you got SO much done yesterday! Wish you had been here! I am kind of sad too that I am not working remotely at all. At least if I was doing that I could take a 10 min break every now and then and do a thing or two around here. Instead, I put in my 10 hours solid of working and being available for everyone. Oh well, the winter break will be here before I know it (and with a TON of deadlines before then--Dec 30th for many things). I love fish tacos...one of my favorite things and they are not too hard to make--finding a good "cabbage slaw" to put on them is the biggest challenge I think. Have you tried your air fryer yet? I think that the fish for fish tacos would be perfect in there LOL about you and DH with no furniture in your new house. I was telling DS26 and his GF that we moved in and only had a couch, a TV, and a bed. So DH "built" a TV stand out of three blocks of wood hammered together and we used to sit on that couch and watch TV in the middle of that big living room. Good times!! So glad that the Icy Hot helped....yep, it has a smell, but it's not too bad! Hope that you can get in to the chiropractor soon though. So glad that the girls are helping! I am planning some meals too before going to the grocery store. I am going to be cleaning out the fridge when I get home too. I cleaned it recently so it's not too bad, but need to clean it again. Making turkey soup today! Good job on your water...I need to focus on that this week. I find that, if I buy the large bottles of Arrowhead flavored bubbly water, I drink more of it so that is the plan. Thanks for starting us today---and motivating me to do more around here!

Sue: YAY for nice weather to keep Jason out of the house and happy! Yes this year the holidays fall perfectly for enjoying the extra time off, so sorry that the usual plans all had to be changed up!
I have to ask... any word or pics (FB) on the Friendsgiving the kids went to the other day? Large crowd??
So glad that the work things "dropped" at good times to allow you to not be too overwhelmed tomorrow!
LOL Yes, last time I worked from home, Tracy would come down each day and be watching TV before my day ended. It wasn't that distracting - but still. I would get up from my computer in the DR and take my glass of wine upstairs - just to unwind for an hour! This time I will already be upstairs - so who knows how my days will "end"!
LOL I think of this "little black box" as an airplane thing! LOL It keeps all the info I need in it - but don't need the huge tower, as I remote into my PC at the bank each day for working. It will be interesting to see how this goes! They still do not have the 2 monitor thing worked out yet - so I may still be buying a large monitor for myself! This time the "box" takes an HDMI port, so I may be able to just use a spare TV! Once I get set up Tracy will check out my IT options!
Yup... that's how the story goes! Matt works with Ken and lives with Amanda's sister - and he spilled the beans! He was not happy, as it changed the family's TG day! Nah, they don't see it that way... talked with Kaitlin yesterday I don't think she gets the fact this could have been avoided! Oh Wednesday is the day I usually take for our family shopping day! I knew we weren't going shopping, but never changed the day. Now I think I will use it in a different way, a few hours here, there, whenever! I think I will need 1/2 day Wednesday as that may be the first day I can get to the stove place to get it. Monday is supposed to be a lousy rainy day - not good for trucking a stove home! The guy is scheduled to install it next Monday so we have to get it this week!
I NEED to get to the office to grab my collagen powder and my Thieves, along with some office stuff I really "want" to have here, but I will wait until Saturday - when it is well past my 10 days quarantine and not many people in the building!
Oh Good call to wait another week for Jason to help decorate... yes plain white lights are nice too! I am still enjoying mine as well.

Carole: Yay for the new stove! Sounds like Tracy needs to leave the tree alone for now, LOL. STAY AWAY FROM THE TREE, TRACY! There are SO many COVID symptoms that can be other things (including fatigue) but I confess to often thinking things about how I am feeling---is that a cough? Is that a runny nose? Uggh...it is just a difficult time right now. I am glad that you are feeling okay though and that you have your own "quarantine" already taken care of. I do have to say that at least the girls (Amanda and K) ADMITTED that they were feeling symptoms and went to the party. Our contact tracers in the county are finding that people are not being forthright about what they were doing when and when symptoms started. It has made it very hard to trace things. Just the same....uggh. SO glad you will be home! So your office is downstairs for now? I was thinking it was going to be upstairs? Just wondering...it will be nice to be warm by the new stove and have the tree in the background too. I look forward to some Christmas music playing in the background in my office Your dinner sounds yummy! I have been TERRIBLE about tracking--back on the wagon starting today!
Sue: So glad that Jason has his nice weather. I think that we will pick up our tree next weekend too...either that or early in the following week (weeknights might be better). We have no rain in the forecast for days---time for some more soon. Just cold---43 degrees right now. Sounds like tomorrow will be a more "settled" day. Is Tonya back tomorrow? I was wondering how "warm" of a reception she will receive---so awkward! Hope that you have a good day today!
Hello to all who follow. I need to finish up my list and get a move on...make the most of this Sunday. I have enjoyed my days off though! Will try to pop in later my friends.

Good morning Gabrielle ~ YAY for getting down to help the kids! HOW FUN!! Always fun moving someone ELSE into a new home! Oh yes, fingers crossed they can get their old place leased ASAP to avoid two payments! Oh dear - YES, I too wish you could work remotely for a month or so... you "giving" others that solid 10 hours each day is too much! I honestly do NOT know how you do it!! {{{{{hugs}}}}} Will you be able to take off and enjoy the winter break?? UGH Thanks for the reminder - I need to clean out the fridge here (again)! I think if we still have no date for delivery of our new fridge by next weekend, I will be going to see what I CAN get "comparable" to what we wanted/ordered. I am getting tired of waiting.
I "reminded" Kaitlin yesterday that within her last 2 weeks (of getting sick) she was on the Cape staying with her CA friends... her response was only, yeah I let them know, but they are here in Western MA now - caring for the husband's DM as she recovers from double mastectomy! I said they should be careful around her, and she said, "Eh' they are not concerned since I didn't get sick until now... I wasn't contagious when I was there." ... Ummmmm, I thought all along they were doing contact tracing over the past 14 days?? Whatever - not my issue! I don't know these people, but I sure hope the recovering DM stays healthy!
No - No... my office is upstairs, in the guest room. Farther away from the kitchen and TV! Since Tracy is home a LOT, I do not like sharing my space with her while I am working! Oh the desk we moved in the DR? That's the desk we always have in the DR, we just swapped corners the hutch and the desk are now in opposite corners from where they were... will make the huge DR table easier to maneuver with Christmas being here this year.
I am happy to report I am still on my tracking streak!!
Oh yes, Sue... when is Tonya's quarantine over??
OK I have whittled away more of the morning than I should have! LOL I won't say "wasted" because time with you gals is definitely not "wasted"!
I am not sure what I will get done, but it best be something around here! LOL Hope you all can enjoy some down time for yourselves this SIMPLE SUNDAY ♥HUGS♥

Christine...your pre-lit tree snafu is the reason I did NOT chose one! Several people told me how nice they are for a year or two and then inevitably one of the strands goes out! Glad I listened. It doesn't take too long to put lights on and definitely saves the headache of wondering each year! Well, Carly might be right about the bare spots....remember, a "real tree" is not perfect and has bare spots....it gives your tree character. I see some spots that need a bit of "fluffing" on ours too but until the ornaments go on, I'm not doing anything to it!
Oh no, not a tweaked back on top of the sore knees!! Hope the chiropractor calls back and you can get tin to see her. YAY for some relief finally. I have a great oil alternative to IcyHot that I love....really helps especially at work when the back is a bit achy and the heating pad and recliner are not available. Thankfully I don't smell like "an old lady" covered in BenGay or IcyHot!
I LOVE fish tacos Christine...glad they were a winner for you and no bloating or heartburn afterwards. Will be anxious to hear what you figure out about what is causing the symptoms lately. I know I am often of eating too fast and that not only causes heartburn issues but also makes for feel WAY TOO FULL. If I slow down, I recognize when I'm starting to feel full and stop! Yes, supporting Small Business Saturday is a good thing! Had you laugh at you and Colby Girl being aa pathetic pair. Tough getting old whether you are human or canine I guess!?!?! Yes, I heard that the Steelers were postponed again....not sure if it was COVID cases on the Ravens or Steelers!!
Honestly Christine....I think Sarah and Josh will be very appreciative of the "stock pile" of bags....I have always put one or two in their stocking each year and they both have mentioned that we can ALWAYS so that. Figured that this year for all the adults it was going to practical, not fun & frivolous! If they take it the "wrong way"....so be it! I had mentioned it to Jason weeks ago and we both thought it was a good idea...the TG fiasco was after the fact!!
Day #29 Gratitude: Beautiful fall weather this weekend.....while Jason and I are both disappointed to not be in NC this weekend we have thoroughly enjoyed the low-key weekend at home....since we weren't going to be here anyway, we had no plans so this became a "free weekend" to do as we each chose. The gorgeous weather gave Jason the extra time to catch up on all the final clean up in the yard, something he is often doing into December. I love to see how relaxed it makes him to have the extra "bonus time" to get it done!
Carole...let's hope your Sunday is Simple! Glad your Saturday ended up low-key have Tracy had you rushing around with the trash! Glad you got a few things done and your work station ready to go for tomorrow! LOL, too bad you didn't think to grab the directions to connect to the network when you grabbed your stuff on Friday. Oh well, will still be a learning curve getting back up to speed and it's IT's job after all to make it happen!
Good idea to buckle back down today with NOOM and get the week started on a good note now that the holiday is behind us! Sounds like you have some great food plans for the week with many versatile options. Good idea to not over think the "being tired" into something COVID related. You know that you are often tired and with the hectic pace of the pie baking and holiday it's expected! I agree...I have a hard time feeling bad for anyone who gets COVID that is NOT practicing good social distancing, masks and hand washing. We have all been told the things that help prevent us from getting infected so WHY people think that they are immune and the protocols don't apply to them is beyond me! I pray it doesn't hit Sarah's house but if it does....it's on them!! I know that sounds harsh and I will help with shopping and other things if it happens but sympathy....NOPE!!
Gabrielle....good idea to get all your "ducks in a row" for work this week in light of the cases of COVID in your school sites. I'm sure there will be lots of uncertainty and anxiety surrounding the cases and best to be prepared to keep things calm and moving smoothly. Sorry your down time yesterday ended up being used to help Tyler and Kate but I know they are grateful you could lend a hand! How many more months are left to their lease??
Carole...I saw a few pictures of Friendsgiving on FB and it was actually a MUCH smaller group than usual which is a good thing...the ones missing were of course the ones in education and medical fields...the 3 families left were the 3 "Trumpers" of course. It was in the garage instead of in the house so it was more open and less people but still stupid IMHO!!
Sounds like you are getting this "black box" thing figured out!! HA....didn't think of the airplane 'black box'! Glad Tracy will be available to help you figure it out. Sounds like the process is fairly smooth and maybe the spare TV will work for you! Ahhhh....had forgotten about the family shopping day....I like the idea of just taking the day to do the little things that need to be done but nothing structured!! Perfect timing to get the new stove since tomorrow's weather is to be so miserable...must be an East Coast thing because it's to be miserable here too!
Gabrielle...won't know if Tonya is back until she arrives....not sure if she is quarantining for 14 days or if she was going to be tested?? If she was tested, she should have results by now and could be back tomorrow or she was positive and who knows. Unfortunately with HIPPA we have no details. Gloria and I both think she will just quarantine and pray for no symptoms and we won't see her until December 7th. Not sure what the "climate" in the room will be when she returns, awkward is an understatement. The more Gloria and I think about the few days prior to her being quarantined the more suspicious we are that she knew it was going to be positive and was just down playing his symptoms. I sure hope she's back by the 7th because Gloria is off the 7th and 8th....makes me nervous! But not crossing that bridge at this point!
OK....time to get my HB eggs going and do something sort of productive!
Waves Jo, Jenny, Shelly, Lisa, Nadine and anyone else lurking. Hope it's a great day all.....keep it simple!

Good Morning
I went to WI and was down 1.8# yesterday!! Yes over TG weekend I was so happy but I was on vacation so I was cleaning and moving around all week long instead of sitting all day at work. I did get the fall decorations down and the Christmas tree up along with Christmas decorations as well. Today is laundry day and I need to get ahold of my boss and ask him what's going on for this week of work and where I'm at. I work for 2 more weeks and then have another week off just before Christmas to get all the last minute shopping done.
We have been put in a lock down for 2 weeks and found out yesterday that we are still in a lock down until the cases of Covid start to go down in Oregon. Lot's of bars and resteraunts may shut down for good. It's really a sad deal but with people not following the rules it's going to get worse until it's get's under control.

Yes DFIL is feeling the after effects of DMIL going into a home but it is what it is. My DD is stubborn about the walker and I guess he would rather fall down. I don't get it. I tried talking to my mom about a will also and she claims they have one but I don't think they do, it could be a simple one, because they really don't have any property just their house and it's just a manufactured home so it's worth something and it's paid off but as far as heirlooms there's really not that much but we need to think about those things because they aren't getting younger, I don't even think they have buriel plots yet.
OK well gotta run get some things done I'll CBL
Have a great day
Jenny
