I was anxious for breakfast this morning. One of my co worker/friends shared her overnight oatmeal recipe with me that sounded so good. I made one for DH too. Neither of us liked it all. My friend and her DH love it. It called for unsweetened vanilla almond milk which I've never used any kind of almond milk before. Seeing the point count is so low has me thinking of using it in other recipes I have that call for milk. Wondering though since this is vanilla flavored though. Do any of you ever use almond milk?

Gareth, I bought almond milk once but didn’t like it, so down the drain it went. Maybe I bought the wrong kind? I don’t remember exactly what kind, but I doubt that I’ll buy it again. I like my good, old, regular skim milk. Drink a little every meal .
I’m going out to the grocery store this morning, Aldi’s or other, for a few things. No other shopping. I have some knitted gifts started and need to work on them. BBL

GOOD MORNING,
Not sure what we will do today. Might go look at tube turners for Christmas
Stockings. did look on you tube how to do it by hand., now I remember how to do it.
Yesterday our temp was about 53. today is windy and high will be 39.
Last night Theresa called.knew something was going on.she hardly ever calls.
Don's oldest brother (91)Dick is in the hospital with double pneumonia and dehydration.
stepdaughter could not reach him and had the neighbor go check on him. she found him at the table head down and so weak he could not move, called the ambulance.
there are 9 kids and they look after him pretty good but live in other towns. his stepdaughter tries to keep a good eye on him. they are about 20 miles a part.
one son about 2 hours away wanted to have DICK stay with them for the winter. another son in Florida wanted him to come there for the winter.Dick
told Don he would just huneker down at home.
I think he knew something was going to happen.
Kids want prayers.Theresa and I think the Lord or his angles on on their way. even if he goes to a nursing home.when it does happen with this #$%^&**&^%$# virus the four of us would not be able to go up there.
Marlene how is the Christmas stocking coming along?
Don use to drink almond milk.I hated it .to me it looks like muddy water.he now drinks latate.
enjoy your Sunday girls. PHYL

DS & DGGS have been here & left. GS has changed so much since I last saw him. He has grown 6 inches & lost 14 pounds he said. The weight loss was needed. He will be 13 in January so is at the age to expect changes. No one was overly hungry but I made one pizza & still have a couple pieces LO. We all wore masks & GS's school is virtual so I think we were OK.
I plan to make turkey soup this afternoon for supper. I hadn't planned on it but DS asked if I was going to use some of turkey for soup. I didn't realize he liked it that much. Maybe I'll make taco soup for me. DH & DS can have the turkey.
Phyl, I haven't been knitting but yesterday I somewhat organized my yarn & kept what I need for the stocking in easy reach. Don't know why I'm procrastinating about knitting it but don't seem to have any interest. Actually I don't have much interest in anything. The day my computer was on the fritz I decided I should work on the stocking but now that it is fixed, knitting is on the back burner again. So sorry to hear about Don's brother. He & all the family will be in my prayers. Is he the oldest sibling?
DH got almond milk one time when he couldn't get rice milk. He said he wouldn't buy it again. I didn't try it - it doesn't sound like something I would like. I haven't tried the rice milk either but he uses it on his cereal cause regular milk is too high in potassium.

Gareth*, It's been yr's that I had Van. Sweetened Almond Milk for Malt's. I would put everything in it. And I mean everything w/fresh fruit and ects. Sooo good. I know there is Choc. to. But I never used that.
Mary*, We need to go Groc. shopping to and get other things as well and OTC's. we That will be Tuesday.
Phyl, Sending prayers for BIL and family. It sounds like he's suffering. A sad time. I love to hear his DC do watch over him. Aand a nice big family to.
Marlene*, I was happy to see that your hubby is drinking Rice Milk. Like I had said, When You take a glass full & put it in the freezer till the top is crystalized. Remove and stir and for some reason it tastes richer. I buy unsweetened. Oh my that is a big change w/GS so tall. And only 13.
Well we was w/the friends from Church. Since there is no Church we meet earlier now. Then we came home. I made a big Salad for us. Love that stuff. But since I only sorted clothes and few little things. The strangest things happens here sometimes. Almost all the cloth masks just went into outer-space? So, PLEASE, PLEASE, If any of you come across them; Send them Home! We won't ask any questions just that we L VE Them! Thank You!
Sleep Well~~ Marm~~
