Oh, my! It's tomorrow already! (1:24 a.m.)
You are a good and forgiving friend and mother, Jenny! I have confidence in your choices!
Sandy, I always wanted a big brother. I'm sure Maija will find having a sister a blessing!
I've been putting Guy's ancestors into the family tree, and get lost on many interesting trails of relatives. DSIL confirmed that there was another family prior to the one we know about. This woman's children were very young when she passed away, so they must have considered all of them full siblings. So often I wish for a diary from these people stating what is going on in their lives!
We had some wind an hour or so ago. The weather service had predicted it. It's awfully quiet now. Hope sirens don't go off!
Connie, I'm going to be in the market for a new desktop Apple computer before too long. Be sure to let us know what your DD reports is a "best buy."
Sue, I'm beginning to think about search parties! Hope you and your family are okay!
Well, I'd best go to bed. BBL to see what's happening with each of you! --Molly

Even though I said I was only going to focus on a couple of things at a time, tomorrow I have a really long list.. These are mostly loose ends that need tying up.. there are a couple of MUST do now things.. I want these done before I really start concentrating on Christmas.. won't be able to relax and enjoy the holidays if i have leftovers pending..
Linda, Molly and everyone... you Do remember how my daughter threw mac out and I had no time to even get ready for him.. I know the things her son said to him and I won't forget it.. never will I feel the same about my own grandson again... this grandson was macs favorite.. he did everything for him.. and then to have him talk to mac like that just broke macs heart.. that set him way back and he never got over it.. I can't forget that.. those are things one just doesn't do.. They expected mac to be like he always was and he'd had that major stroke,, he had problems with everything.. no, can't forget it. I will let it go for the sake of my other children, and the family but no good feelings are left for that grandson.. and the other one who I helped so many times. bought his school clothes and kept them in food.. I don't ask for thanks even but respect I think I deserve that.. and what's worse is what they did to mac when he was at his lowest point. that is so very sad, ...
Had a rough pain day today.. didn't get much done. Hoping tomorrow is better because pain or not there are things that have to be done.. Can't ask son to come and help at all this week.. he has already worked more than he is supposed to.. but they are short handed.. four of the emts have come down with covid in the last several days.. he didn't work with them so that's good but this virus is sweeping through the state.. people are pretending it doesn't exist and falling like poisoned flies. The stupidity is amazing..
Both my dogs need a bath... I think I could do Lily but not casey... he is too heavy and hurts too much when I pick him up.. thinking of giving them a sponge sort of bath tomorrow until I can arrange for something else.. also have to wash their blankets from their crates and beds.. forgot to put that on my list. Ashley can't even come and help this week because her Mom (my daughter in law) is starting dialysis this week.. she will go tuesday , thursday and Saturday and ashleys other grandma goes Mon, wed and friday so Ashley is busy and still works full time and takes care of their animals. Not really whining but just telling it like it is . a better note is my baker lady who thinks she has to take care of me is making butternut squash soup.. so that could possibly be my dinner. ..
I'm trying to buy from small local business this year but boy some of their prices are too much for me.. for instance my granddaughter ( a different one) has started a coffee roasting business.. was going to order coffee for a few people but wow the prices are too much for me.. I want to support her but I can't do those prices..

Jenny I do remember everything that happened to Mac and also the fact your daughter didn’t even come to his service. I thought it was very generous of you to not bring it up with her and understand totally how things will never be the same. You were very hurt by her and your grandson’s actions. I just wish I could give you a hug in person.
I have to call the jury commission this morning as last night when I called the number it said I was to report Tuesday at 9 a.m. and the 10th judicial court judge had paused all jury trials from today through the first part of January so it makes no sense to me that I should have to report. There’s just way too many things that are one thing one day and something different the next. Makes one go crazy!
Other than that nothing happening today. Debbie reminded us about having Prime on our smart tv and recommended the movie Crawl to watch saying it was really good. So we watched it and were not impressed at all. I think our daughter doesn’t know us as well as she thinks as Fred and I are more into action movies. We do like some horror movies but she had said since we liked the Jaws movies we would really like this movie, WRONG!
Supposed to have a brief snow shower this morning. Definitely cold enough!
Tonight I will start the new thread.

Well the coldest morning so far and my wall heater said no more. I'm using electric heater and oven to warm. Bill is coming and we will take the heater in to get a thermacuplar and cleaned. I had the propane man hear a little after 6 thinking he let me run out of propane. He tried to light my pilot.

Lucy, layer those clothes on and hope you get the heater fixed right away. How cold is it?
I woke up with alerts going on my phone about a possible snow storm. I forgot to silence my cell phone last night. then my friend who is scared of everything these days text me in a panic as she had a weird thing on her bank statement t his morning. I still don't understand but she text me back in 20 minutes saying the bank said it was okay. So I am still in the dark!! I did check my bank statement on line and all is fine with mine. (we have the same local bank and I have alerts set up from them) They go to the bank once a week for something!!! guess they have more money than I do. LOL We still have to call for an appointment if you have to speak to someone. Just the drive through open. Guess they want the head guy to talk to them.
Raining and I have no plans for today unless Emma comes in to help me plant the Amaryllis they got me for my birthday. She said she didn't want to plant it right then. Was so funny, we were at Elias birthday at the time. Need to do it pretty soon.
Jenny, you still have a lot on your plate. I think we all wish we could just stop by and help. It is hard to let go of hurts but they pay a toll on hearts , minds and body. and they do happen to everyone at one time or another if that helps. Probably not. but just don't know what to say except I am sorry this had to happen to you and Mac. But that is when they happen-- in times of crisis most of the time and that is when they are the most hurtful.
Kathy , why don't you like the HP. I love mine and it has been fine for years and years. Also have a HP printer, and same goes for that. My DD's Mother in law just got a new computer and she loves the HP also. Just curious as I am in the market soon. was not my computer but the power strip, which is what they are designed to do. And now that it is plugged into a different outlet on it it is fine. There are 4 places on it, I will be getting a new one of those too. They are a must here where we get really bad electrical rain storms close.

Hi all,
30 and sunny, high 55 another great day. Vest weather. Yesterday I did play, just a grocery run, mom's, and watched some Christmas movies. Today Costco (to pick up some things for mom) and maybe Hobby Lobby, Michael's, need a new blade for my Cricut. Also need to do my December finances and close out my November finances, pick up the house a bit and my cards. Todays blessing "all of the unsung hero's who are out there doing what they do to help me to continue doing what I need/want to do."
Sandy, did you get my December name?
Jenny, yes I do remember how your daughter treated Mac (I believe I mentioned that in my post yesterday), but we are all human and we don't know what the other person is going through (job, home, money, health, etc., these are all different types of stress that often we don't share with others even those who are close to us, we try to put on a happy face and act like everything is ok), even though we would like to think that we do. I'm not saying that her/their actions are acceptable, but put yourself in their shoes and then share what you would have done in their position. Jenny, it is hard I know, but please do some soul searching and try to look at things objectively, you may see it differently. You are strong, loving and generous person, I hope another trait of yours is forgiveness not grudge holding. This is all I'm going to say about this, and I'm just talking from the heart and as a friend just like the rest of the ladies. Congrats on getting a lot accomplished and when you get those loose ends taken care of you will feel wonderful.
Molly, if only those entries in the family tree could talk, just imagine the tales they could share.
Lucy, try and stay warm.
Well, better get ready to greet the day, put the breakfast dishes in the sink, and get ready to start my errands. Have a great day everyone, and may you all find something that makes you smile and fills your heart with love and joy, remember it doesn't have to be anything big or planned, usually its those little spontaneous events in our lives that makes us smile and makes our hearts move flow with love and joy.
Family Blessing Linda

Hi! Lucy, thank you for the month of November. I really liked being reminded to think of a blessing every day. Today, my blessing is the sunshine. It makes the day so much more cheerful. Jenny, prayers continue for your needs to be met. Connie, are you thinking of a new computer? I have my 4th Dell. Can you tell I really like Dell? I bought my first one about 30 years ago. Molly , I often wish I could read something that my ancestors left. The best I can do is my grandmother who left her scrapbook and a few poems. I also have the teapot she won from Lipton Tea about 80 years ago. She wrote a little jingle they liked. Sandy, I hope you find out something about the jury business. Surely they don't want you down there. Linda, I am waiting till a self-driving car is within my financial reach! This morning, I did a grocery order, with hope that it will warm up a bit before DH goes out. He is going to pick up a pharm order anyway. We also put up the small tree we had ordered. It is 4' 6", and we put it on a bin. Around the base of it, I put a few stuffed animals I keep out for any visiting children. They might as well be good for something! No kids are coming around. This year, we are decorating for ourselves. So today, we did that much.
The second load of laundry is in the dryer, so that will be finished shortly. Hugs!

We took the heater in and the manager was in. He took it to the back and cleaned it and lit it. The thermacuplar was fine. Didn't charge me anything. It is back on the wall and the heat turned up to high.
The temperature was 30 when I got up and is 47 now.

Hello again, friends!
When I went to bed around 3 a.m., I couldn't sleep. Was tossing around for two hours. The alarm sounded at 7 a.m. Had groceries to pick up at 8 a.m. then PT at 10 a.m.
Foundation Recovery was scheduled for best time on December 7 -- they called at 7:30 a.m. and said they would be here at noon today. Our driveway and garage floor are off kilter. They were supposed to take care of our front step, but said they couldn't do that. We'll have to get someone to take it out and replace it. Noisy jack hammers and pumps. They couldn't raise the garage floor either, so it's going to be a long noisy summer.
My physical therapist has all but dismissed me. (I'm truly going to miss her!) Tomorrow, I have my surgical follow-up. That should be good. The goo from the original bandage is flaking away. I comforted myself with the fact that our skin replaces itself every 27-30 days; so it can't stay on longer than that! LOL! The bend angle for each of my knees is 125. They tell me it's really good.
Must pay some bills. BBL! ~~Molly

Yes, Diane , I am after the first of the year. I am checking on them a bit now and Thanks for the recommendation for Dell, I know they have really good products. DD is also doing some investigating as well. She knows what I do on computer and will give me her recommendation as well. Kathy hates her HP but I love mine and have had it along time with no issues. This issue the other day was not the computer but the power strip. But it is outdated and DD says it is time. So something to look forward to in the new year.
I ordered another centerpiece, this one for DGD and DH in W. Va. that takes care of all the ones out of town. Not expensive ones but ones that will be easy to place where they want them. No flowers just real greenery in interesting white birch box like containers. All reviews say they last a long time with a wonderful smell.

I had an appointment today to check the clots in my leg. I'm off the blood thinner! ($101 per month). My sheets are now in the washer. My blessing for today is all my Over 60's friends! You keep me sane!
