MONDAY MINDSET... Who has some?? LOL Just kidding - I am working on it now! I have the "return to work - after vacation - BLUES" I think! I am just NOT looking forward to jumping into working from home, on a Monday, when Kaitlin has most likely called out, and I found out that Debbie has not done the ONE THING for ATM that SHE is supposed to do while I am out! UGH! With sending her home on Tuesday, she never got around to MY work, and from home, she was so frazzled she just didn't get to it! Well, thanks then... hmmm, my first work from home, I was covering for HER, and Got.It.Done.! OY VEY! Whatever... catching that up will be a cinch ~ IF I can log on and get into my PC in the office! WHEW! Just too much!!
Anyway... not looking forward to the first day - but once this morning is over - if I can get into everything I need, it will get better moving forward! YES IT WILL!
Meanwhile... up at my normal time, so without packing my lunch, and the 20-30 minute drive, I will actually be ready to log in early today, to get a jump on what I need!
Already working on my first 22 oz bottle of water, while the coffee brews. This is the bottle I usually finish on my commute, so will need to focus on that first thing today! Not sure I can drink while I climb the stairs! LOL
Oh Yesterday was a lazy - LAZY - day here... I mean, I did get the DR cleaned out/up from fall decorations, and some stuff that was in here from the back room (when we laid flooring) finally got put back out back - so the DR is ready for Christmas decorations! I just didn't have it in me to do the decorating yesterday! SO lazy... another day of being a slug!
I was texting with gals from work - checking in with them, their health... we are up to 4 Positive, and 1 is sick while still awaiting results! Four (plus me = 5) are all fine, while they are waiting for their results. So let's see, that leaves Darcy, Crystal and Stephanie not heard from. So 5 sick, 5 OK, 3 unknown... I guess when Governor Baker shut us back to only gatherings of 10 the bank should have jumped on that bandwagon and sent some of us home to work sooner! 13 all together, even with masks didn't "work"! Yikes!
Anyway, I continue to feel fine...

Sue: Oh I DID want to grab my instructions Friday, and a few other things, but I was not allowed to enter the building - and certainly not our office! Apparently it is cordoned off, so no one will enter for 10 days! They got in and cleaned but then kept everyone OUT! I called IT before I left town, then again after I got to the parking lot - where I sat and waited for them to bring my stuff down to me. I thought about going Saturday - but didn't want to get "caught" being in there! I still think I will go in this coming Saturday and grab what I want/need while the building is almost empty!
Whew! Thank goodness SOMEONE had the brains to stay away from the Friendsgiving party! Fingers crossed the kids distanced themselves enough to avoid any exposure from Kellen to the other kids!
Oh no - the TV will NOT work... the cable from the black box to the monitor is not a standard HDMI plug! OF COURSE IT'S NOT! UGH! WHY would anything be that simple!!
UGH to the "not knowing" about Tonya... in these "desperate" times, I think HIPPA should be thrown out the window!! I think people deserve to know who has Covid, so we can all decide for ourselves IF we may have been exposed! So far, our folks are slated to be back in the office Monday December 7th.
Jenny: WOO HOO for being DOWN over TG week! You are rockin' it!! Yes a lot of extra moving may have helped - but the not overeating also worked!! YAY for another vacation - oh the week before Christmas? Mine is the week after... but thinking I may use some of that time before that week, and log on each day long enough to keep my work current? not sure - I guess it will depend how far behind I am at that point?
Now I feel my concerns have been "validated" ~ Some folks have obviously NOT been following the rules - either that or masks do NOT "work" as we all thought! I think we have more folks NOT being diligent in their off time, than anyone knew about!!
Good luck getting your folks to open up about their estate plans... I know Ken & I are still putting off our wills, etc., just not something I want to spend the $$ on! LOL I guess after the first of the year, we should try to get an appointment - who knows with Covid so prevalent, who knows what lawyers will even be taking appointments! But - that will be my NY Resolution! (Don't let me forget)!

I need a RE-SET already for my Monday!! UGH Woke to a flooded counter top - the coffee maker's water dispenser leaked - at first I thought, who spilled water and didn't clean it?? Nope - water water water everywhere - the fresh roll of paper towels was soaked, the toaster was sitting in a puddle, thankfully not too much 'clutter' but what a mess! AND I had no real coffee - just a dribble in the pot - BUT I did have a spare! lol Remember I thought last August this coffee maker was dying a slow death then revised itself. I did not return the new one we purchased knowing this day would come...so, I brought that new one upstairs, cleaned it up, programmed it, ran a trial run to clean it, then started my fresh pot. Meanwhile, I could not access the home internet! But all the other laptops, iPads, phones were accessing it, just MINE was not. So, I restarted this laptop (which takes for-ev-er!!) and it s-l-o-w-l-y restarted just to say, "cannot connect to the internet". Tried DH's iPhone Hotspot - nope, this laptop would not connect - grrrr - trying to stay calm through all of this....when DH got up he suggested just flick the modem which is kept upstairs in Carly's bedroom as it's the most central part of the house and HIGHEST point...I didn't want to wake her but I just had to get to it - it's an easy reach from her doorway and yes, that did the trick. So, now I have fresh coffee, internet access, a working laptop and...no time!

Good morning!
Feeling especially rebellious today--for whatever reason, my alarm didn't go off but I still woke up early--just not early enough to get in my TM run without feeling pretty rushed and stressed so I put it off until tonight (a RARE event). Glad that I did though because now I have time to check in here! I have the back-from-vacation-blues a bit too...decided that the first thing I will do is have Christmas music in the background in my office to cheer me up. It will be okay--not too heavy of a week meeting-wise but lots of projects in the works so need to be efficient.
I am proud of myself as I did put my nose to the grindstone and got the front planters cleaned up. The Christmas decorations are up as well (no tree yet, but that will follow). Now I feel more on top of things as I return to work. And I am definitely more focused on some healthier eating (Thurs/Fri were not the best days)--I need to add TRACKING to my Monday Mindset.
Carole: So glad that you really did set up upstairs--I got confused I think about the desk conversation (I am easily confused, LOL). Sounds like you are ready to go. I just can't believe how complicated your refrigerator situation is!! This is crazy how unreliable all of the delivery, etc. has been! So glad that yours still works...I guess you would have to pick up your own if it didn't? Who knows! Sounds like you needed a down day this weekend to get yourself revved up for the week--glad that you did that for yourself Hmmm...if I was a betting woman, I would bet that the positives in your office are more likely some poor decisions outside of work...unless they were within 6 feet of one another for 15 min or more at a time at work (with masks on)...that is why they say "distancing AND mask wearing." My principal (who just tested positive) was told to quarantine for 10 days past the first day he felt symptoms and then he also has to be symptom-free for 24 hours. I think that this comes from the fact that the symptoms are usually 3-4 days after exposure so the total is around 14 days (not sure though). Yes, HPPA makes it challenging. Hope that you can get the rest of your things from the office soon--that would be frustrating. Today I still have an itchy nose from all of the sweeping and everything yesterday...the person who has MAJOR COVID anxiety in my office (she has her own office with the door shut) will probably think I am sick if she sees me blow my nose or use a kleenex. Fun times. It was fun helping the kids unload--it is just a pile now though as they wait for the carpet. They are patient though--plenty of other things to do. Today is the day they turn in their key to their landlord and he advertises their apt for rent--it was VERY challenging to get it (highly competitive market) so hope that it leases quickly for them.

Christine: Oh man, you are a trooper waking up to all of that and still being chipper and popping in here! Wow, thank goodness for the second coffee pot....I just told DS26's GF that coffee is a non-negotiable when we were talking yesterday about what they had set up in their house. Glad that you are ready to go though--aren't you glad you are home? Having to get ready and drive into work would have been one more layer of that challenging morning. Hope that everyone lets you "do your thing" today, the internet cooperates, and you feel good about the day today! Oh, and that you get that chiropractic appt too.....
Sue: Hope that today is a good one---it should be after all that you and Gloria got done on Saturday, right? How nice that Jason was able to be more relaxed this holiday! Definitely something to be thankful for! The kids' lease is up in May---so it would be great to get the place leased asap--it is in a nice neighborhood and all. I would think they would be able to get it picked up soon. I haven't kept an eye on the market though...I do know that it is currently a "sellers market" in CA though. Hope that today is a good day for you!
Jenny: Good to see you and YAHOO for a loss on the scale! I haven't even weighed in but I am sure that I must be slightly up. So proud of you! Sorry that you are going through those challenges right now with yours and Kerry's parents--tough times. Good idea to start the conversation about the will, etc. I don't recall, do you have siblings? I have no recollection at all! Hope that today (I think you are going back to work, right?) is a good day for you!
Hello to all who follow. Need to get a move on...back to salads for lunch today--I need to make sure that I get the veggies on a regular basis. Will cook some chicken breasts tonight so that I have them. I made a huge batch of turkey soup and used most of the leftover turkey in that. Tonight is tofu, broccoli, and mushroom stir fry for dinner See you all later!

Good Morning from the Elk plant
I walked into the office and found a bunch of little visitor's, MICE!!!! One is staring at me right now. I feel really bad about the fact that I had to email my boss and tell him to buy traps cause one is in the window just sitting there and then another one ran across the desk and you can here them in the ceiling and it stinks to high heaven in here. I'm surprised that the lady who's normally here hasn't reported them yet or at least tried to get rid of them.
Christine sorry about the coffee pot and no internet, what a Monday for you. Glad you got your internet running finally and your up and going finally.
Carole I hope you got all logged onto your computer and your internet is being nice. Oh not very nice no one did your work last week now your behind but I'm glad it's doable from your home lets hope. Good for you having a day to yourself and resting. I hope you don't get Covid and you were safe with your mask on because it sounds like others in you department were not very safe. I've got the back to work blues as well. When I got in to work I found out I'm working in a plant I've never been to this Friday and I'm not looking forward to it as it's way out in the boonies with no internet so we will see how that goes.
Gabrielle yes I two older sisters but they are just as nervous talking with my parents about having a will. If they don't have a will when they pass it will all go out to probate and it takes a lot of money to fight the probate so I wish they would get something in writing saying it goes to all of us because from what I understand it takes money to get it out of probate to sell the house or pick up anything so we need to do something. Luckily for me I have a friend who used to work for an attorney for wills and probate's so I need to text her and see what it entails.
OK gotta run for now there's trucks coming in, I hope everyone has a great day
Jenny
