Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning, hope everyone had a good weekend. Martha, are you feeling okay, take care.
Today I go for the Mohs procedure at 1 o’clock. We are expecting torrential rains and high (up to 50 mph winds) starting around 11. I had my Covid test on Friday morning and they said I would only hear if it was positive in 48 hours. I didn’t hear so I’m assuming I was negative. I’m sure the office would also call if my procedure was cancelled. My older sister had a Mohs procedure several months ago, it took 4 hours for the surgeon to get it all, hopefully mine will be quicker but it just depends on many things. I have dinner in the crock pot so I won’t have to worry about that when I get home. I also have 1 good size box and a bag of Christmas decorations to drop off at the thrift store but won’t do that till the rain stops, probably tomorrow or Wednesday.

It feels like I slept most of the weekend away. Other than Sunday, was taking 1.5-4 hr naps. Felt better when got up but all that time that I had planned on getting clutter moved was gone.
We finished off pumpkin pie last night. Stuffing is the last leftover to be eaten. DH take it with his chicken for lunch. We did like the crockpot cooked stuffing. I'll repeat it. Can't remember how many ziploc bags of turkey headed to freezer.
We haven't put up Christmas tree/decorations in years. Another box of things to go thru and remove from the house. Figure most will be out the door.
Joyce - very glad to hear test came back negative. Surprised at having to wait until Thurs to return to work.
Dottie - Keeping fingers crossed your procedure goes well.
Ruth - WooHoo on the green bags from trash company. Hopefully DS/DDIL will keep plugging away.
I will be back later.
(((hugs)))

Good morning,
Didn’t sleep well last night. I kept waking up, seemed like every hour. I’m already dragging today. Ugh!
Can’t wait to get back to work. I’m not sure if it’s the county or nys doh that requires us to stay out of work for 14 days after exposure. I’m sure work is piling up so we’ll definitely be busy once we get back.
Rainy day today, overnight turning to snow. Timing is great, I was able to clear room in my garage for my car and the garbage totes.
Dottie - wishing the best for your procedure today. Prayers that all goes quickly.
Enjoy your day

Good morning all. Just realized I didn’t get back here yesterday. Mood was not great so I didn’t do a lot of things I planned on. I did get the sheets washed for both our beds and put back on. I did them spaced out by about an hour to save on my back!
Dottie, prayers for your surgery today. I have a spot on my arm I might need that for. I couldn’t remember what Mohs surgery was for, so looked it up to get info. Is this one on your face? Please let us know how you are doing this afternoon or evening.
Joy, I think it’s because if you have had direct exposure to someone, you can still become positive up to 14 days. I think the 10 day is when you thought you might have it; but don’t know you were directly exposed. Good for you on getting the garage ready for your car. Snow will be here rather we want it or not!
Martha, you must have needed the sleep. Sometimes we just need to catch up. You don’t decorate for Christmas at all? I’ve had years where I didn’t care if I did or not, but with family coming I had to do it.
DS was saying that DIL’s mother (a real piece of work) has been eating out in restaurants with friends, shopping, etc. all w/o a mask! She lives in WI. And DIL’s DB & DN are both positive for covid. Not sure if they are around the Mom or not. And she thinks they should come visit again with Mara! Not happening!!
The green bag will go this week and I’ll check into getting others dropped off. Save me going somewhere to buy them if they will. I’m just so happy they are working on it.
I need to get moving and get some things done. I need to pay bills; start some laundry, do some more dusting and put up the tree and other decorations. And we need to go pick up a couple gallons of milk and other stuff and drop off to DS’s house. DIL asked her mother for some financial help (the mother is wealthy) and she was told no!! Not even if it meant food on the table for her granddaughter!!! She’s special!!
Stan’s lower back (sciatica) is really bothering him. But he won’t do much about it. And he’s not sleeping well and he said it’s the covid, election, worry about the finances (market action) and all. And he doesn’t talk about it so hard to help him work thru it all.
Have a good day all and stay safe. I’ll check back later to see if Dottie posts any updates.

Martha, hope you start feeling better. Take care.
The procedure went fine. It started at 1 o'clock and I left there at 4:15. The basal cancer was on my cheek and I have a big bandage there now, it comes off tomorrow. I also have a black eye, the nurse predicted that, and sure enough by the time everything was done she said the black eye started. The doctor and rest of the staff were wonderful so that made everything go okay. In a little pain now - will be for another 24 to 48 hours per the nurse. I have to put an ice pack on the area for 20 minutes every hour.

Oh no Martha, hope you aren’t coming down with something!! Or hoping you didn’t pick up covid at work possibly. Get some rest.
Dottie, so happy to hear your surgery is over. Thank you for checking in. Take care.
We went and got rid of the aluminum cans. Only $8.50 cash; but 4 black garbage bags of cans out of the garage.
Then we came home, loaded up the metal storage bin thing and took it and some groceries to DS’s house. Did a contactless drop.
Then we stopped into a furniture store. Stan thinks that part of his back problem might be his recliner. He turned it over and there’s a broken part near a spring. The chair is about 10 years old and he’s in it A LOT!!! And it’s a huge chair and takes up a lot of room!!! Anyway, we found a recliner that we both like a lot, and we had started looking at a sectional; but I like the recliner also; so may get a 2nd recliner and just a 3 seat couch. And down the road possibly 1 more chair (not a recliner) for the living room. Right now my mom’s glider is out here, but thinking of putting it in our bedroom when I move the changing table upstairs. We could get the recliners next week but not the couch until the 1st week of February. We have to talk about it tonight and possibly order tomorrow. Our current reclining couch and reclining loveseat could go to DS’s house. Their furniture fell apart (cheap to start with) and they really need better stuff. Fake leather that peeled off as they used it. And since this furniture is heavy, I will hire someone to haul it out of here and into their house.
Got the tree up, but not decorated yet. Tonight and tomorrow.
and going to do some more knitting! Have a good evening all.
