Talked to a relative (who thinks like us) yesterday. Somehow politics came up in a conversation she had with a friend (who is a conservative) she has had for decades. At one point the friend tells her she subscribes to a newspaper out of California that tells her what is "really" going on. At the end of the conversation they decided to never bring politics up again so they can keep the friendship.
Glad she is finding out what is "really" going on.

"None are as blind as those who will not see."
Trump supporters remind me of spouses of drunks. They have an excuse for every dangerous and vile thing the drunks do.
They drink because she's overweight. Or, because he doesn't like his job, he really didn't mean to give her a Black eye, it's all her fault anyway for burning the toast. Deep down he really is a nice guy, he behaves like that when he's drunk, which is all the time, etc.
Trump is a liar. If his lips are moving he's lying. But, it's not his fault. It's the Democrats, or climate change, or Winter.
He never belonged in the WH anyway.

birdgal, I remember when they talked to Brits after Brexit passed, and at least half of them said they voted yes for it because they "wanted to see what happened". Same with people who voted for DT the first time around. IMO an IQ test for voters needs to be more standard than IDs lol.

What do you think he will do about the stimulus bill? I think he will do nothing, it will expire, and Congress will have to start all over. I do hope I'm wrong and he will either sign the darn thing, or veto it and Congress overrides. Who knows?

I think you are correct. He will ignore it. He's tired of pretending to be a President.
What a waste of 4 years. I still have a hard time believing people thought putting a game show tv personality would be a good idea. Fools!
He only cares about himself.

Trump signed the stimulus package. Now he can claim to be our savior, while sniping at the Dems for not having a higher stimulus amount. He should look to those who blocked it. The GOPs in the House.

Yeah unemployment Conti news. I don't work but good for those who are unemployed. good. I am glad for me who gets food stamps. our Democratic governor did something nice ev en the Republican legislature could not stop. When he called an emergency tfor the state those of us who get 16 dollars in food stamps got the maximum for one individual till September 204 a month. I am using it to eat healthy. So basically his entire "Give them $2000" was all a scam to screw over the American people, his own party, specifically moscow Mitch and anyone he felt was "disloyal" to him ...

He is an evil and mean spirited man who never belonged in the WH to begin with.
He gets along with nobody. I heard he doesn't have any friends. His family probably loves his money and nothing else.
Try to imagine him pushing one of his children on a swing when they were younger. Yeah. Me neither.
The only things he likes is money, power, fame, dictators, and attractive women.
Without the family money he would be nothing. A friendless and bitter old man. Which he is anyway. Even with all that money.
He's pathetic.
To those who voted for him to see what happens or to keep Hillary from becoming the First Woman President, how has that worked out?

I'm glad I was wrong about him just letting the bill expire. I agree he thinks his cult will see him as a savior. From himself? My latest random thought is he is like an abuser that beats up his partner and then brings flowers and candy. But doesn't say sorry, so that analogy doesn't work...
Trying to understand his thinking and actions is very bad for my brain.

birdgal, lol my step dad would make comments like "you'd have to tie a pork chop around his neck just to get the dog to play with him"... remembering that and the fact that the DT family has no pets.. hmm.

Lol! That's funny. I don't think that would even work with this guy. Animals sense danger and threats.
I remember seeing Trump and a few other people taking a picture with a German Shepard on tv. I'm sure the dog was part of the security team.
I don't remember what it was about. Trump was in the middle, the dog and her handler were next to him.
Trump put his hand down on the dogs head for about a half a second. He looked uncomfortable doing it. I held my breath. I was afraid the dog would sense danger and lunge for his throat. Thankfully she must have been in "sit and stay" mode.
My concern the whole time was for the dog. I could tell Trump was uncomfortable. I figured he wasn't happy about sharing the spotlight with a smart and beautiful animal. His head pat was so insincere. Poor dog.

Lani, it's not easy trying to understand an alien species. None of it makes sense on our planet.
