everybody else must be busy today.
Woke up every hour last night...weird dreams. last one I was trying to disinfect the sidewalk to our house. stayed up after that, so bleary day. Micki is grumpy...I kept waking him up!
Guess this afternoon I will set up saurbraten roast in the marinade to be in fridge 2-3 days so DH can have it before his nasty fillings Thursday. hope that works and he does not lose a tooth and the bridge attached to it.

Thanks for the start, Chele. I hope you had an amazing birthday. I'm feeling more rested today. Thursdays just take it out of me. Wifi seems to be doing well. Hope it lasts through Monday evening because I'll need it for the MG meeting to run the tablet for the meeting and the computer for a presentation during the meeting. Is the very berry hibiscus one of the flavors they also have in bottles at the grocery store? If so, it's a winner. DMIL used to make Italian cream cake and it was wonderful. They didn't have the lemoncello? Did you have anything special for your birthday dinner? How sweet of GF to send you roses! OMG on your other GF's Christmas plans. Yes, "misinformed" is one way to describe it. Great news on the end of quarantine for DN#2's family. That's scary about so many new cases yesterday. Our numbers were up yesterday, but we are only about 60% of our high a couple of weeks ago. We could be back up today and probably will be in the next week or so, thanks to Thanksgiving indiscretions. I saw a segment on the news this morning about a place that is selling gator because Tennessee plays Florida today. They had video and it turns out it's a full-service fish market and is about a block from Osteo. Guess where I'll be heading after my appointment on Thursday. Hopefully I'll be as lucky with it as you are with your local one.
Liz, great to hear from you yesterday. Good for you to get presents sent early. What are you hearing about SM? Sorry you won't be seeing the family. I am waiting to hear whether DN#3 and her DH will be at DB/DSIL's or staying home so I can send things where they need to go. If she stays home, I will send theirs and the local brothers' and sister's gifts to her. If not, I will send theirs to DB's and the rest to the recipients. I hope they decide something soon. What are you hearing about SM? I saw that they had an uproar on Staten Island over a bar being closed due to covid. Didn't see any masks in that crowd, so I guess cases there will be a rise in the next week or two. Not good news for any of us. I can't imagine the stress your firstline workers are going through with the coming of a 2nd surge. Yay on the generic Celebrex helping some. Hope the approval on the gel shot comes through quickly.
Not good news about meat products being limited already, Linda. I'm going to WM Neighborhood on Tuesday and plan to pick up as much ground beef and ground turkey to last Arya for a few months in case things get scarce. Be extra careful on your temporary transition flooring. That could be a bit dangerous. Sorry you didn't sleep well last night. Sounds like Micki had the same problem. Is that adorable basset in the photo you posted one of your friend's? I'm a bit concerned with the blue eyes because that could indicate deafness down the road. I love the look of a blue-eyed dog, but not what tends to come later on. They do better with loss of senses that we do, however. Good luck with the roast.
Kathy, I'll be anxious to see if the mayor gets pushback from DuhSantis. Some seem to be distancing themselves from Trump, so that could make a difference if he is one of them. Are you watching any football today? The parent company of our local ABC affiliate is in negotiation with Dish and cut us off, so we are hoping to find the Clemson game streaming somewhere. Tennessee plays Florida this afternoon but I'm not sure we'll watch because it probably won't be any prettier than the game with Bama was.
I hope DN is recovering well, Becky. Any progress with the IT band? I'm surprised on the mayor of Austin. He seemed to be one of the more sensible ones through all of this. Talk about a major lapse in judgment.
Denise, what's happening?
I got the battery replaced in my key fob today, so hopefully it will be good for another 5 years. I also baked an oven full of sweet potatoes for my little sweet potato, plus a week's worth of eggs for her. I also did some MG work and did time on the Vibe Plate while doing upper body weights. Arya and I watched the most recent Grinch movie and have otherwise just been chilling and streaming.

Meat itself is ok, but good cold cuts are sporadic.
DSIL sent two Christmas packages (her DH did) Late Monday priority...for Thursday delivery. hope it arrives today ...my two day I sent Thursday is supposed to arrive Monday! Best get those things sent! Last year I sent a big check to Florida to pay off the AC units registered, priority..took ten days!

Karen, I just checked the UF/TN game and not a surprise, but I was hoping TN could make it closer. FSU has one more game scheduled on 12/19, but I'm wondering if they'll try and play some of the ones they missed. Did you find a way to watch the Clemson game? I did free trials with Hulu+ and YouTube when I couldn't get some of the FSU games last year. I think I'm out of free trials, but FSU didn't make it worth the extra effort this year anyway. I think DuhSantis is too firmly attached to Trump's posterior to distance himself. I just saw that only 25 Republican senators and congressmen will acknowledge that Biden won. I guess they're in for a rude surprise soon. SNL should be good tonight with all the craziness that's been going on.
Linda, shipping is getting crazy. I had a package that came from CA to Orlando, then left Orlando for Atlanta and sat there for 5 days. Finally, it came back to Orlando. I kept checking for a package that Informed Delivery said was coming today and it finally updated to show that it's in Kansas! It still shows delivery by 8pm tonight, but I don't think so.
Chele, I'm glad you had such a nice birthday. Iggy did a good job! We've been in that in-between temp in the 70s where it's too warm for heat and too cool for AC. It's supposed to go back into the 40s tonight, so brrrrrrr! Have you gotten any more snow?
Waving to everyone. Have a good evening.

Thanks for the start Chele.
Karen I think I remember you saying you use your phone as a hot spot. How do you do that? I still haven't heard any more news on DN which is unusual. After a surgery she is usually on FB right away and the fact that she hasn't been makes me wonder if she is in a lot of pain. The IT band is so so but this morning I was taking a heavy blanket off of me and I heard a loud pop in my shoulder/bicep area and it has hurt all day. I have had heat on it and iced it. I have gotten all my steps house walking today partly because of the pain and partly because it's been cloudy and damp outside with a chill feeling in the air although it was 50 degrees.Mayor Adler has been more sensible but he has apologized 3 times this past week. I understand the need to go to his daughter's outdoor wedding but the trip to Mexico on a private plane was not a good decision. Did you watch the Longhorn game? I found out the Aggies were on TV for once so I watched it. Jimbo seems to finally be working for his money.

Linda, I'm glad it's just not here that USPS packages are sporadic. Dale has one that was supposed to be here Thursday and might get her tomorrow--or not. Hopefully things will be back to normal after we get a new postmaster general who knows what he's doing. Did you sleep better last night?
Tennessee didn't play well yesterday, Kathy, and they mentioned on the a.m. news that we are 0-9 under this coach against Alabama, Florida, and Georgia by a total of more than 200 points. Virginia Tech hung with Clemson until halftime. I figured the Tigers would make major adjustments but I didn't expect it to be such a blowout. The Republicans in Congress are really pathetic the way they are keeping mute so Trump won't come out against them. We'll probably catch SNL today. That sounds like the current normal on your package. I had a couple coming from the northeast that ended up in Mississippi for several days each. I'll bet you still don't have it. Do you get any packages on Sunday delivery? We have had a few. They had a segment on Today this morning about how many people have bought RVs and hit the road during the pandemic.
Becky, how is the shoulder feeling? You don't need any upper body aches and pains with the lower body ones you're dealing with. I hope it has worked itself out. It's really easy to set up a mobile hotspot on my phone. Go into the settings and click on Network & Internet. You should have a Mobile Hotspot and Tethering option. Click that and you will need to select if you want to go through bluetooth or hook the computer and phone via USB cable. Then hit the Mobile Hotspot option and turn it on. You might want to check if your carrier limits hotspot use. I found out if I use my phone as a hotspot, they cut me off at 15gb (so much for "unlimited"). Right now I'm at 14.78gb. I thought Texas was canceled this week so I totally missed the game. They won so big that I would have loved to have seen it. I may see if Longhorn Network is rebroadcasting sometime today. A&M is having a good year. Tennessee still hasn't played them, so that will be another Tennessee loss, I'm sure. I guess at least the Austin mayor went on a private jet instead of a commercial airline. But he went some place that he shouldn't have. I don't know how far even 3 apologies will go. Is it any wander positives are still on the incline?
Did you get the Nor'easter yesterday, Liz? I hope you got your usual errands done safely. How is Zoe?
Chele, we missed you yesterday. Did you and Iggy have a big day planned?
Are you expecting Christmas weather this week, Denise?
We have freezing fog this morning and Dale canceled his plans to run on the state park trails. He was going to get takeout from our favorite local chain, so I need to figure out what I have for dinners the next 2 nights instead (they do a really good grilled salmon). I have a load of workout clothes in the washer and might just finish up an online workshop on soil I've been working through.

Karen, ouch, that's a dismal record for TN. I think FSU is building up to the same kind of record with their big rivals if they're not already there. I've been getting some Sunday deliveries. My Informed Delivery says a couple are scheduled for today, but they're still showing "in transit", so I'm guessing they won't arrive until tomorrow. I have some packages where there haven't been any updates for a few days and they're past their delivery date. That's been happening quite a lot and so far, they've just shown up late. The SNL opener was good. They don't even have to stretch reality that much for some of their political skits. I don't think I've ever experienced freezing fog. Maybe that's just as well!
Chele, sorry you've been dealing with a migraine. Feel better soon.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday evening.

Chele, so sorry about the migraine. I hope you will be able to get it under control soon.
"In transit" seems to be the favorite phrase of USPS right now, Kathy. I've had several showing up on Informed Delivery that are supposed to be delivered that day but when I click on them, it says "in transit". Freezing fog is not fun, especially on the highways. We don't have it often but when we do, we tend not to go anywhere because it's not worth the risk. We watched SNL this afternoon. Yes, the opener wasn't a stretch at all. Did you hear Rudy now has the 'rona?
Linda, I remember most of your memory items and had quite a few.
Speaking of memories, after I got back inside from putting up the cone tree in my new avatar, I had a message from DB with a couple of document photos attached. They referenced a woman's name that neither of us recognized but her last name was the same as my step grandfather, who married my grandmother in 1950. But the document was signed in 1939. DB found it mixed in with some papers they brought with them in the move. We have no idea why it was kept and why DM would have had it. I did genealogy research on my family, including DM's estranged father, but never had any reason to do any research on SGF's family. Turns out the paperwork was signed by DGF's mother, who was long dead by the time I came along. So I've learned a little about his family this afternoon. BTW, somebody asked if DB/DSIL had all their hurricane damage repaired and I forgot to answer. They have a new roof, a new fence, and an RV on order. He still has to rebuild the RV carport and all will be back to normal. Thanks for asking. It was in the 40s when I put up the tree, so I did a hot shower and soup when I came in. That helped.

Pretty, Karen. Mystery relatives?
house smells good. Trying out a rock recipes beef barley soup. Grandma used to make Penninsula Deutsch version all day right from a big old soup bone from the butcher. Rock Recipes is Newfoundland...been looking at their stuff lately.
