This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well We're late starting our thread this month. I have to admit I just haven't been feeling good enough to post, this time of year is tough and with everything else going on it's tougher. I've been concerned about some health issues and I realized yesterday that I need to make some changes and take better care of myself. So I'm working on moving every half hour starting today. I spend too many hours of the day sitting at the computer or sitting on the couch, and I know that's not good for me. I'm also going to try my best to eat better, but I'm realistic enough to know that I won't do that very well during the holidays. But I hope to do my best and then focus on really healthy eating in the new year. I wish for all of us a successful month. Thanks for all the support we give each other.

Good morning
Cj, I do the same thing. I spend way too much time on the couch. I need to turn things around. Are you going to try momentum again?
Waving to all
I’m trying to be better about my exercise I’ve been doing walk away the pounds via YouTube I finally figured out that I have YouTube on my fire stick so yesterday I gave that a whirl and it was a lot better than watching it on my phone hang in there ladies.

DotRen - Thanks I hope your son is still doing well. sunrose - I'm glad you found a way to get your exercise using your fire stick. I did good with my walking yesterday, but I'm busy with things around the house today and have slacked off again I just don't know what to do. Just thinking about doing Momentum doesn't excite me, but should a diet excite us I'm torn between needing a structured diet and wanting to learn to eat "normally". The problem I have right now is that I rarely ever feel hunger. I eat because I think I need to eat - snacking, but also making sure to eat some fruits, vegetables and dairy each day. I would love to get to a place where I didn't eat until I feel hungry instead of being locked into these "rules" in my head that say I have to eat between certain times of the day. I know there are some Beck practices that work on this, but I really feel like I just can't do Beck right now it just feels like more "rules" to me. I'd appreciate any suggestions you have. Maybe I should post this out in General Discussion and get thoughts from there. Hope everyone is doing well and having a good day

cj59, He's doing fine so far! They have 3 kids out but only 1 confirmed case. The other 2 are siblings and a kid in one of their "real" school classes tested positive, so both kids are out until their tests come back. Have you thought about intermittent fasting? Maybe just black coffee or tea in the mornings, then only eat between noon and 8pm? A lot of people seem to do well on this type of "structure, but eat what you want within reason" plan I lost a lot of weight years ago on the "Dr Johnson up day down day diet" where you eat a fairly high calorie day(say 2000-2200) followed by a 500 calorie day, then keep that alternating going and tossing in a "medium" day now and then (around 1200 calories). It keeps your metabolism guessing lol. Hi sunrose49 !

DotRen - I'm glad your son is doing well Thanks for the suggestions. I actually am eating intermittently now (not really on purpose). I don't usually eat until after 12:00 and stop before 8:00 - but you'd be surprised at how much food I can eat during those 8 hours, and especially non-healthy foods Seriously though I think eating this way is not helping me because I do try to pack so much food into those few hours and I think I would do better spreading out my meals and working on not eating between them. I did actually have success alternating those high and low calorie days once and maybe I need to try that again. I was doing the Wendie Plan when I did Momentum the last time. I only stopped it when my daily points got so low that I really couldn't figure out how to spread out my points through the week. If nothing else, I think the low calorie days could help me get used to eating less. I don't know if I could do 500 a day, but maybe less than 1000 would be good try for a low day. Hope everyone is doing well. Take care

Ate a little too much today. Dental work = food insecurity. Hopefully I can get back on track tomorrow. It'll be hard though with Rice Krispy Treats lurking around for the kids virtual school craft. Maybe I can portion control it and stay in control. Pre-track it? Am I being too optimistic here?

Hello - Hope you are all doing well, sounds like things aren't too bad for any of you I need a little break from thinking about weight loss, so that's why I haven't posted much. Hopefully I can get through the holidays and work on weight loss in the new year. Take care everyone.
