Kitty it is the very first line at the above link. "Lifetime membership is a way for us to recognize and honor members who have reached—and maintained—their personal weight loss goal. When you achieve Lifetime, >>>>you'll receive a free subscription to our digital tools and unlimited Workshops! <<<<<" Plus there is huge thread over on the general board where it is discussed. It is the real deal. Yes, I read that. I realize that people at goal who are lifetime can attend virtual meetings and in person meetings for free. But -- in the past -- if you were over goal you had to pay $14.95 for eTools but had to pay a meeting fee if you went to meetings (that was all pre-Covid). So this doesn't say that if you pay $14.95 and are over goal that you can attend virtual meetings for free (which is what I am interested in). I realize some people may be doing it but just not sure it will continue. I am reluctant to sign up for $14.95 a month just to get virtual meetings and then have that end in a week (or soon).... DH is currently lifetime at goal (at least thru Feb since he isn't weighing at the studio). He has access to virtual workshops so plan to check them out before I decide if it is worth it to pay the $14.95. I just have this nagging fear that they will pull back allowing the eTools people to go to virtual meetings. Maybe not before the end of February but after that.... I guess we'll see.

So, has anyone gone to a physical meeting recently who is lifetime over goal and who is paying $14.95 a month? If so, did you have to pay an extra meeting fee?
Currently I am lifetime over goal (the last few months were not good for me at all) and I am not paying anything and don't have access to the app. I am intrigued by being able to do the virtual meetings if I pay $14.95 and I would probably mostly do that. But -- I always did like the accountability of physical meetings.
I have not been willing to even consider weighing in or attending a meeting (truthfully it is the accountability of the weigh in I mostly want) due to Covid. But, DH and I have had our first vaccination and will have the second in a few weeks. So by the end of March, I might feel comfortable going and at least weighing in with a mask on. I don't mind pay the $14.95 a month if it would cover the cost of those weigh ins. But, before, you would have to an additional $15 for each meeting/weigh in unless you had a monthly pass.
I've read this whole thread that they don't charge the extra now for the meeting but I am trying to verify if anyone has actually tried doing it in the last month or so.

* Not sure what change to this has occured but something is in the works.
A member was told that if they cancelled it could not be reinstated. (The $14.95 rate for digital & meetings). In other words, hang onto that $14.95 rate!!
The LT page hasn't been updated yet but I will continue to keep you guys updated as soon as we hear more information.

I am lifetime over goal and attend physical meetings - at the $14.95 rate and no additional meeting fees. I set it up about 2 months ago through the customer service 1-800 number and have all the etools, virtual and physical meetings. It is set up like a monthly pass.

Sorry I should have put a note on my post saying this is going forward.
There was some kind of change made on 9/1, still trying to find out exactly what the new policy is but it won't effect all LT members that signed up previously (in other words if you signed up before 9/1 you are fine).
I don't want to post anything until I know for sure what the exact change was to their policy.

They just told my sister who is over goal $45. A month Yep, lifetime rejoining over goal has to purchase a monthly pass. Full price is $45 but there are so many deals out there now I'm sure she can get it for less. As soon as she's within 2lbs of goal, she'll be free again.

Oops I updated on the general board but not here. Thanks for the updates ladies. 😊 Like Jennifer mentioned, if you are lifetime over goal make sure you weigh before going to a meeting (so you aren't surprised with a $45 charge). Lots of specials going on now so if you are a Freestyle/ blue plan 💙 lover check for special pricing incentives.

cathysaleh Unfortunately they no longer offer special pricing for lifetime over goal. Your best bet is to grab one of the specials they are currently offering, I try and keep up with the specials and post them in another post on this board. If you see a good one, grab it quickly, they are changing them up every few days.

I stumbled upon this message board doing a search for the question I'm about to ask. I've been a lifetimer since June 2004 ("off" and "back on again" a few times). This time, I'm within 3 lbs. of reaching my goal and have been wondering what changes have occurred since my last lifetime status of no charge for digital access and monthly fees. This link answers my questions, but the post that I'm replying to is from 2020. I too will now will have to travel to have my weight recorded, which is a 45-minute drive from here with in-person locations closing (I could walk to my last location in 5 minutes, so handy!).
I have heard humours from other WW members on Facebook that Weight Watchers will have major changes in 2024 where lifetimers will be free until the end of 2023, then a monthly fee will apply. This was stated by a lifetimer who said she received a notice about her membership. Wondering if that will happen? I realize a lot of humours must be out there, just hoping that WW will continue with the privilege of lifetimers to be able to continue with the program at no cost?
Thanks!

cherylross1946 welcome! Unfortunately no one will know what will happen until the time actually comes with the company being in such a state of flux. Years ago they had a setup with, I think it was CVS, to try and do weigh ins there, but that never panned out. Not sure what they will do about LT members without a place to weigh in after this period has passed.
