Sunny and in the high 50's today. The prediction for snow has fallen to 5 to 11 inches. That's better. I'm sure the prediction will keep changing right up to the actual storm. Cats are enjoying the porch today.

In the high 30's and sunny today. Big snow storm is headed our way to start tomorrow afternoon and last through noon on Thursday. There is a chance for close to 20 inches of snow and blizzard conditions. I am not thrilled. They say this one storm is more than the total amount of snow we got last winter, and for New York City the worse snow storm since a storm in 2010. Got to the grocery store this morning it was busier than it usually is in the morning.

Below freezing here. Have the drapes closed to keep the warmth in. Didn't let the cats out on the porch, figured they would just run back in. We are waiting for the snow to start, probably in 2-3 hours. The range is rain/sleet or up to 20 inches of snow. I'm going for the middle and say we'll get 6-8 inches of snow. Harold just went down to plug in his electric gloves. He has problems with the circulation in his hands and this will be the first time trying the new gloves. Figure tomorrow I will be doing some shoveling.

Wednesday, 12/16 After it started to snow we remembered we hadn't gotten the mail. I bundled up and went out to get it.

After all of this fuss about the snow we only got about six inches, now my husband says we might have gotten 9-10 inches from looking at the side of the driveway, and it was light and fluffy. Harold used the snow blower to clear it. My contribution was shoveling off the porch while my nose was freezing. Next time I go out I'm wearing a scarf.

Some sunshine out, temp is 28. All the drapes are closed to keep the heat in. Husband and all three cats are napping. Did housework this morning, later I need to make some phone calls and work out a problem online.
