Hi everyone- I think I fit in here. I'm 5'3'', have about 15 stubborn lb left to lose (well, I lost about 60 lb, stayed at goal for a couple of years, and now I'm about 10, 15 over my 'ideal'- you know, where you feel best?). I've been a WWer off and on for gosh- since around 2000. Mostly only online other than the very beginning. Anyway, still trying to find my way around the boards here, and saw this little group and thought I would jump in. Hope I'm not intruding!! Happy New Year's Eve!!

Welcome JamesonsMommy! I would love to lose 15 lbs but would be happy with 10 at this point. I've been on WW starting with meetings in 2007 and am now just posting online for support from this group. We have been on the boards for many years together. Were you on the old WW boards?

Happy New Year, Holly, Sue and JoAnne! WE are back at the motel---did a lot of shopping, looking at a few open houses, and then cooking dinner---I brought halibut and I made that, roasted veggies, crock pot mac and cheese, beer bread and mango cream sauce for the halibut. Everything turned out just right and we had a really nice dinner. DGD16 left for an overnight with some girlfriends and the rest of us played a game called bump that is sort of like sorry but played with cards and a board. The men beat the women 2 to 1.
I bought myself a new necklace (sort of a drop pendant) and matching earrings today. Firefly is the company---based in Guatemala. Love it. Also bought a few tree ornaments and six perfect water glasses in my new blue--they are so pretty and were half price---luckily as they were 11 a piece.
Have enough halibut left to eat for leftovers tomorrow which I will definitely do.
So tired---Holly, I think my goal will be continue all the classes but to always do something at home in the evening---stretch, weights, work with the body roller--and try to eat mindfully with no binges. Sue, we did not stay for midnight as we both wanted this time to just read, catch up on email, etc. Hoping to sleep well tonight---last night we were both stressed out as we realized at 10 that no one had been to the house to feed the cats. First time ever the cat sitter messed up---we thought she had died or had an accident---we monitor the alarm and the cameras at the front door and forgot that we'd not gotten a notification all day long---we woke up DD who went to bed early and she went over at 10:30 and fed the furry kids---omg all day with no food--we felt so bad---could not reach the sitter---this morning she called and wondered why I had sent 2 emails, one text and 3 phone calls---she thought it started at noon today! Geez---I checked my original email and had sent the right times and days. Thank goodness DD was at home! She fed them early this morning as well.
we would have had the neighbor couple over for dinner but she was feeling as tho' she was getting sick so passsed. Night all!

Hi all,
Happy New Year. We're cooking the traditional good luck New Years dinner with collards, peas, etc.
It has been a nice break from work and the mental stress that it involves. Ready to go back, but not quite sure if I'm ready for the intensity yet.
Welcome, JamesonsMommy. We're happy to have new members.

Thought we'd be watching the Rose Bowl Parade and now find out it's on Monday! Had planned to see a movie but no seats available so bought tickets in advance to see La La Land tomorrow at 10 am---super cheap that early. DH and DSIL will go see Passenger which I want to see eventually as well.
We are going to hit IKEA today---looking for a very skinny sofa table to go behind DD's couch that is hitting the shutters on the window behind it. Want to get a special door lock for the front door so that DH could install it tomorrow as well---they need something that connects to their phones so that they can lock and unlock remotely in case the girls get locked out or fail to lock up when they leave---which has happened once or twice lately.
Wow, slept in till 8:30---very unusual for me.
Welcome here, Jameson's Mommy---I am up from my LT goal by about 10 pounds but really should get down 15---this has been the case now for most of the year---time to get serious---have been saying that for some time now and really must figure out how to get out of my denial.

Happy New Year!
Sunny and warm day, may go up to the 50s. It will get cold next weekend though. SO was reading outside on our balcony for a couple of hours. Weight is up to 124! Hoping that it's temporary sodium from the Chinese food.
Having another relaxing day, it is strange not to be doing homework and multi-tasking. I'm actually watching the Eagles game and able to pay attention to it.
Holly, I feel the same about the intensity of school/internship coming up, just need to grit through it week by week like I did this past quarter with my hard charcuterie class and all day classical European the following day.
The difficulty with last quarter was the constant need to be creative and come up with something that not only tastes good but looks good.
Joan, you sound as busy away as you are at home. I'm looking forward to La La Land coming out on DVD, I really like the combination of Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, I think they have good chemistry.
I was texting with my college roommate, her 2 adopted daughters are really into gymnastics and one of them - 9yrs old - is winning state level competitions. She told me that she is doing homeschooling now to work around all the gymnastics, not only that the 2 girls ride horses, golfs, take ballet lessons and piano lessons. Geez, that's a ton of activities. She says she's totally exhausted all the time. She's full time ER Dr.

Well everyone is gone from here but DH and I finally. It has been a whirlwind week with many family activities and food. The kids all played together well - it was good to see. I have been sick now for 17 days - the whole gammit of symptoms - chest congestion, cough, tightness in chest, headache, sinus pain, face pain, etc, etc. - finally went to urgent care last Tues. as it seemed my asthma had kicked in and I was getting worse not better. The doctor gave me prednisone, Zithromax, tessalon pearls, and a new albuterol inhaler. I wish that I had thought to ask for an Advair inhaler also - I usually take that when I get really sick too. The steroids kept me going while everyone was here. I am only a little better. He offered to do an xray to see if I have pneumonia but would not have treated me any different if I had it so I declined. I have had both of the pneumonia vaccines.
Just haven't felt like doing anything hardly. Sue I have been watching the Walking Dead Marathon too. I have hardly opened my computer all week.
I have missed so much of the thread that I probably won't go back and read it all.
Happy New Year to all - and welcome newbie, Jameson'smommy, glad to have you. Wish that I was more socialble right now but feel terrible. Thought I'd better check in or you all would think I had died or something!
