I'm IN.
Got to go downstairs and do recon in the basement; torrential rains through the night but I was NOT getting up.
And then another DayJob of mayhem and madness, counting down to Easter.
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

We had torrential rain also! The commute will be awful. There are 53 patients in the schedule and we are short staffed. I want to go back to bed!

Good morning!
The storms were crazy over this way Linda during the night and into this morning. I was so happy to be able to work from home today. We definitely need the rain though.
I was nervous with my DD driving to school this morning and could not relax until I got the "I'm at school text"
Tonight I am making lemon chicken. I don't have a recipe so I am searching on line. If anyone has one they like feel free to share if you like.
I found a WW Tortellini Soup recipe that I am making in the crock pot for tomorrows dinner.
I hope everyone has a great day!

I'm just back from walking Leia, and yes, it's raining, but without the monsoon winds we've seemed to have al Winter, so it was okay. She doesn't like the rain, but we got the job done! I'm heading to acupuncture this afternoon, but got lots of errands run yesterday so I didn't have to dodge too much rain today. Leia now has a dog licenses and I have a library card, so that felt cool. It was weird moving in the winter, I haven't really explored and settled in like I usually do. dina your avatar made me life. Believe it or not, I was raised (in Louisiana) by a rabid Red Sox fan, who had loved Ted Williams. As the players became more and more international, he could never remember their names and always called him *Predoria*; it makes me laugh whenever I see him. diva49 It's all about Easter here, too; hang in there. A good friend of mine has moved to New Mexico; I have to get organized so that we can talk late morning for me, mid for him...and adjustment! Have a good one!

Hi All, It's PSSA time here- state testing. Why do they make students with special needs take tests? Why do they make any students take these tests!
Some of my kids take adaptive tests, but that's still a joke. Making a 10 month developmental child read a graph!
But these two boys are taking the state standard test. Today is writing. One boy finished a 3 hour test in 1 hour!
The other is here pulling his hair out (literally), twirling it in his ear, having extreme anxiety, is about on the verge of tears. I keep telling them, just do your best, It's OK. But his anxiety is so high.
But we are having that everywhere. An 8th grade girl was found in the bathroom throwing up she was so nervous over the test, the teachers are grumpy and going crazy, they are still expected to teach this afternoon, give homework and assessments. 7th graders are using sleeping pills to try and sleep because they have anxiety! This is torture for everyone involved.
No wonder we have kids going to counseling, getting prescriptions and experimenting with drugs and alcohol at a younger and younger age. We are pushing them so hard.
Sorry, that's my rant of the day.

Hi y'all! Sorry so many of you are having rain. It's clear and beautiful here, but it's expected to hit 88 this afternoon. NO!! I don't want summer temps yet!
I'm off to get my yearly mammogram. I'm going early to hit the mall across the street from the hospital to check out jeans at Dillard's and Macy's. I hope they have a sale. I like the Not your daughters jeans so I'll look for those first.
This web page has been so slow lately. Any one else having this problem?

Good morning. Rain here too & pretty chilly.
Kathy, I am so dying to try acupuncture but I've got so many issues I'm not sure what I'd go for 🙄
This is a day for puttering. Just went through a bag of stuff that was my Mom's so feeling a little blue. I did get a chuckle though over the little scrap of paper with her name & phone # she wrote down. She was pretty sharp so I don't know what that was all about.
Looking forward to homemade chicken soup for lunch. It smelled so good when I was making it yesterday & it's certainly the perfect day for soup.
Back to puttering.

Sullicat- I'm sorry your feeling blue. We were cleaning my MIL house this weekend and I found a medicine bottle with a baggie in it. Didn't look like the normal green stuff you keep in a baggie, But I have NO clue what it was! It was pretty dried out, tried to smell it, but I only know what that smells like when it's burning, not fresh! From concerts of course, second hand It looked the color of pencil shavings but was really fine. My DH was like "just throw it out". I got a hoot out of it, he did not! Amazing what you find. I'm just glad I didn't find any girlie clothes or toys. That was my biggest fear!

Hey everyone! Back from my mini vacay to celebrate my great niece's second birthday! That child is just a crazy 2 year old! But as sweet as can be! It was a great trip! hpeterson1951 the anxiety that students and teachers go through during standardized test is just WRONG! Here in Indiana, a teachers raise is based off of how well their students do! WRONG on so many levels! Plus some students just don't test well (I had one). It makes me sad that teachers have to teach to the test. Those of you having bad storms, be safe! I hope you all have a GREAT day!
