This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Wow, yesterday got away from me, and I completely missed reading the posts until this morning. What a lot of good energy, and deep thanks to Frieda for helping lead the re-charge. And to quote Mrs. Kate: Wowza on those losses! Just a short time ago you were so frustrated that nothing seemed to be moving, but look at you go! WI was down 1.2, slow progress but progress nonetheless. Three blue dots in a row so far for April. I slept very poorly and decided to get up and try to get some exercise in before a particularly hectic day. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. Gosh, Shari, this is real! An apartment lined up and the house getting packed out. Gosh! Are you going to put it in on the market soon, or will DS live there during transition time?
Yes, of course I named my car -- her perfect name hit me before I drove off the lot. She's named for DS's beloved grandmother, who embraced me right from the start and made me feel comfortable and safe. Big booming laugh, warm, twinkling brown eyes, sharp as a tack, endlessly kind and reliable, silver hair. (The car is kind of a pewter color.) Harriett. MCat, we've stayed off property at a condo complex near DW and it was great! Truly able to do our own thing and escape the crazy food costs inside the kingdom. Best of both worlds. So glad to hear the kids are doing better. Gosh, I cringe, thinking back to DD's all black attire days.
I need to pre-track my day and get moving.

Good morning T! Way to go on the WI!! And Frieda too....WOW! You are an inspiration!
It's a very snowy morning here in CO. We are glad for the moisture but isn't it the season for rain instead of snow? Oh well! I measured 8" on our deck at 4:30 this morning and it was coming down heavy all the way in to work. Thinking of packing up some work and leaving just after lunch so I can miss the crazies on the road home this afternoon.
I've tracked one day and the scale inched a few ounces down this morning. So incentive to track again today!!
Wishing everyone a wonderful day!!

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!
Poor DS came home from school yesterday with a fever and in tears. He wound up crashing on our bed for a long nap before I woke him up to be up for a little while, then sent him to bed. He is at home today. Fever seems to be vanquished, but lingering headache and stomachache. Definitely better than yesterday. Poor dude. They are so sad when they are sick.
T, Harriett sounds perfect! How fun! Yes, we are going to stay at the military hotel, Shades of Green, where things are actually reasonably priced. I really hate the idea of paying for overpriced food. It's just food, for heaven's sake!!! Yes, I will be happy when All Black Clothes and Things Dark have passed......
Shari, wow! A date that will come all too soon! Are you getting to the finish line with packing and purging?
Andrea, I simply can't imagine snow at this point. However, to quote Prince, sometimes it snows in April.......Stay safe and warm up there!!!
Martha, ACM?
Alrighty, gotta gird myself for the meetings. Gird, gird, gird.....have a great day, ladies!!!!

Thank you for the kind messages regarding my recent weight loss. Honestly, it's been a long time coming. For the past year, it seemed that nothing I did would move the scale down and it went only up. I had almost given up hope, and decided to go back to trusty old WW. In which I am so eternally grateful. I still have a ways to go, but I'm trying to take it a pound at a time (in those 5 pound increments). But I have to say they add up. T, go on connect and look up the #calendarchallenge Even the small losses add up!
I love the name Harriett! She will serve you well!
What else? I'm getting color today, although I think I can go an extra week out next time. I don't think I'm getting it cut, maybe. If so, then long layers. I'm on the fence.
I'll stop back by and see what is happening in the collective cat world.

GM, favorite felines. Pouring rain here but that beats Andrea's snow. I might cry at more of that. Stay safe, Andrea. Off soon to WW mtg to lead - only two more after today at this location - can it be true? 165.5 was my Sunday WI, Frieda. Put me down. I'm tracking - blue dot yesterday - no small achievement. I feel like I don't have my usual "rewards" in place - a magazine, manicure, this that. And am wading through so much crap and bad weather. And feel bellybigbloated weight wise . Just want to reward/console w food. Whine whine. Will go for another blue dot today. Harriet and T - years of happiness together! MCat, the black phase never happened here. Maybe he's a future New Yorker? Ha. Poor DS, hope he's better soon.
Must dress like the Gorton's fisherman and get my self out of here. Boatload of lessons to follow mtg. Waving across the land.

Me again,
Frieda - our starting stats nearly exact, you have given me newfound motivation. So, tracking everything DOES work! lol, because I somehow forgot that.
I'm prob not going to walk the half Saturday, but instead go to my Saturday meeting one last time with BBQB and then clean out the house for good. BBQB is struggling with the changes and school stress. He went from tracking every day in march to nothing in the last week. I'm trying to help keep him motivated, not working.
MCat, sounds like a fun vacation!
T - love the name, Sabine will enjoy her new owner for sure.
I tried to be proactive and swing by stbx on the way to work, but the line was insane. I really love their egg white and turkey bacon muffin. much better than MCD egg white delight.
ok, time for a meeting.

Sorry about Sammo and tracking. It's understandable. What state are you currently in? I thought you were gone already, HA! I don't know if you know this, but I was working my @ss off in Dec/jan going on the TM for 60 min at a time, several times a week. My weight didn't do a thing. It wasn't until I started tracking did it move downward. I have complete faith in you that you WILL achieve your goals. You've got to get into the groove and when you are, there is no stopping you. But isn't that funny, how sometimes it clicks and everything works and other times it doesn't. I am on connect every single night for inspiration. I can't get enough of the before and afters.
Shari, I totally understand you on the small rewards. You are probably like, if I can only get through the DAY much less think about sitting down and reading a magazine! I'd just say do what you can. What are your goals this month? Are you trying to lose or maintain? Is the apartment temporary until you decide what neighborhood to buy in? How about you buy Susan's place when she moves in with MM? Are you both paper and app tracking? or just paper? Too many questions for you.
I have a sheet full of cat names on my desk and it warms my heart knowing we are all on a challenge we can win at. I for once like being on a winning team. Those dots are like magic. If you do them they work. My goal is to get to bed early and I need to head up. See you all tomorrow!
