Seven Habits for Highly Healthy Holidayswww.orthocarolina.com/media/seven-habits-for-highly-healthy-holidaysThe holiday season is upon us. It’s the time of the year to enjoy celebrating and spending time with family and friends; however, for many, it’s also the time of the year that disrupts schedules and interrupts progress with health goals. Inevitably, it seems, goals and progress are placed on hold until it’s time for New Year’s resolutions, and unfortunately, research shows that those resolutions are rarely reached. This year, make a change by following these seven simple habits for healthy holidays:
Habit Seven – Keep First Things First
Finally, and, most importantly, keep first things first. One of the biggest disruptors to health goals during the holiday season is stress. Once the plan is in place, focus on the celebration with family and friends. That’s what is truly important. And, always remember the goal is better, not perfect.

What comes to mind is "blursday" a new word my sister told me about...the word means one day blurs into the next...and that is what this year has often seemed to be.
As for the holidays...I am grateful for good friends, wonderful family, and the abundance we have in our lives. I am putting together plans for 2021 and know that goals will be set and achieved by focusing and doing the work.

cathygeha Thanks again for this great thread! Such great information!
My holiday went well. I wasn’t trying to restrict myself, but I didn’t go crazy either. It was “normal” levels of eating- which is overeating in my case. This morning I woke up and grabbed the food scale and put it on the counter. I like to avoid looking at what I eat, but knowledge is power. And I want the power to change.

Four days left to end 2020 on a high note...maybe a higher than desired weight but gearing up for a positive 2021 so we enter strong has to be a good idea. I am in...four days and then a new year!
I weighed the grapefruit I tracked calories on MFP I tracked Core on paper I input information on both P+ and 123Points
I kind of want to see which is a better fit for me so when 2021 rolls in I will have THE PLAN to go forward with.

I was up a half pound this morning. Talk about a salt bomb! lol Pushing the water and doing what I know how to do.
Consistent tracking is back on the agenda after being "off" on Christmas and two days with only single entries.
Looking forward to 2021
