Dotren, sounds like you are doing good. Nice you make your own broth.
Amy, you are doing awesome.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all enjoying your weekend I had a few days that I missed walking since I wasn't feeling that well, but I did walk today. I'll be glad when I've built my endurance back up. Pretty much all the junk food is gone from the house, so I've been forced to eat healthier Take care!

sunrose49, the 2nd week is always the trying on for me. I stocked up on low-carb snacks (pepperoni, cheese sticks, pickles, olives, lol) in case I get that "I really want a xxx" craving. cj59, glad you got your walk in

Hello I weighed myself today, first time in a few months (it's easier to pretend I haven't gained weight when I don't weigh in ), and I had only gained a few pounds. That was a nice surprise since I was afraid I'd gained a lot. This motivated me to start tracking again, since I'd stopped that a long time ago. So I'll try that and hope I can stick with it. I know tracking is really important for me to be successful. Hope you are all doing well today.

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well.
I looked at my last post (in September!) before writing this one, and it's funny, because at that time I said that I was working on my self-care. I honestly wasn't that successful at that until just recently. I had a couple of weeks off over the holidays, and I really needed it! I went back to work last week and since then, I am really trying to make caring for myself a priority. I've been picking away at the deep cleaning that needs done in my house. I've been eating breakfast (which I never do) and bringing a packed lunch to work. I've been trying to take more time for myself (challenging with three kids) and overall, I've been much more productive, especially on the weekends.
I've still got a long way to go; my self-care is the first thing to go when I get stressed, so I'm trying very hard to manage my stress as much as possible.
Weight-wise, I have pretty much been holding steady since we came out of lockdown in late spring. I haven't been trying to control my weight. Last week, I started tracking on itrackbites (conquer cravings, ie Momentum). As always, I give myself more points than the quiz would give me. I went over a bit last week (over my raised allotment), but I wasn't too worried about it. I did lose a couple of pounds last week even going over my higher points. Then, I overate on Saturday. I think it was a bit of a rebound effect. I would like to work on that. I just didn't make the best choices for the day.
I'm trying to eat regularly and make healthy, balanced choices throughout the day to minimize overeating at night, which has always been my biggest challenge.
I am not exercising but would like to work on getting back into that once covid restrictions ease up. I have no desire to go to a gym or to yoga until then. But it is something which I think is very important for my overall wellbeing and stress level.
I am a ball of contradictions when it comes to my weight and I own that. I want to lose weight, although I no longer feel the need to be in what is considered the healthy range for my height. I do not want to feel restricted but I want to eat in a way that supports my health (including my mental health). I feel like tracking and focusing on the GHGs seems to help with that. So for now, I'll keep doing what I have been doing.

wwlurker, momentum was a good plan. I find "fidgety eating" at night an issue as well - not hunger, just the desire for "something".

Wwlurker, good to see you. I really to work on self care.
Waving to all
I really wanna lose weight and I don’t know why I’m not taking it more seriously. I’m going to do a walk away the pounds as soon as I get off here probably only be a mile but got to start somewhere. My breathing has gotten so bad

Hello Everyone DotRen - Congratulations on a good first week wwlurker - It's nice to hear from you and I'm glad you are taking care of yourself. Sounds like things haven't been too bad for you and I hope you can focus on what you need for your health. sunrose - Walking a mile is a great way to get started. I hope you'll be able to stick with it, I know you can do it. I'm pretty sure that's all I can do right now too after having gotten up to close to a daily 3 mile walk several years ago. I'm doing pretty well for Day 2 It feels good to track again, since I was doing so much mindless eating. And I'm trying something this time that I kind of did before, but more "strictly". I'm always kind of fascinated with people's daily meal plans and I see that a lot of people eat a lot of the same foods each day. I've always wondered if this helped them to stay on track and keep the weight off because if takes away all the choices. So this time I'm going to try eating a lot of the same things each day and see if that helps me. Hope everyone is doing well today

Hello Everyone amyrs - Best of luck with your school. I hope the counting calories and having a good scale helps you. I'm doing pretty well. I've been tracking each day and keeping to my points/calories. I haven't decided which way I want to count yet, so I'm doing both ways. One thing that I'm finding kind of crazy is that I'm pretty full eating what seems like more food to me. I think it's because it's not all that junky food and it's more filling. I'm also not able to eat all my points most days and I can't figure out why. I guess the last time I did this I had some treats each day and this time I really don't want to do that. I guess I'll see how things work out with not eating all my points each day. Hope all of you are doing well

I can graduate in December 2022. nIf they let me take excel I won't have to take it next summer. I can take Business Spreadsheet applications then I would take 3 more semester during the year to take classes and finish. But if I can't take excel I will take it in summer and take Business Spreadsheet Applications in the fall with keyboarding. and finish in 4 semesters.

Hello Everyone amrys - Hope you can get everything worked out so you can take the classes you want. I've been staying on track with my eating and tracking well too, but slacked on the walking. So I hope to focus on that again. Hope everyone else is doing well and that you all have a good weekend.
