WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

C113D14, 17 purple points, 1201 calories, 8 water, 3x around mall, 15 minutes PT exercises, solo line dancing, upper body video, 8640 steps.
This ended my first ever (I think) perfect week. 29 untouched weeklies and 4 untouched fit points. The secret to this success is not a morsel after 10 PM. How I'd love to stay in this mode.

Good morning! I have the day wide open ahead of me with no plans or obligations. WHAT??! Iโll take the dog for a run, then Iโd like to go to the new florist/gift shop and see what they have left for marked down Christmas items. They have a deal starting today: one small bouquet a month for 2021 for $35. What a treat that will be each month! I think itโs marketing genius for them as well, because odds are good that most people will buy something once theyโre in the shop.
Nancy, wow!! on your stats and weight loss!!! The new John Grisham book became available so Iโll start listening to it as soon as I finish the book Iโm currently on. Iโm looking forward to it.

Jan - I'm still listening to "A Time for Mercy". Is there a new one since that? Enjoy your free day. I have one as well. Plan to walk in the mall, have my Saturday slice of pizza and work on my year end figures.

Loving the bike, definitely getting in a lot more movement. I was on this morning while listening to a WW meeting.
Nancy, Awesome perfect week and weight loss....just wondering what you mean by year end figures? Something I should be doing?
Jan, Enjoy your very rare free day!! The flowers sound like a wonderful nice monthly treat for yourself and the business! Hope you enjoy the cheesecake as much as I do...the 2% would probably just make it taste better for a small increase in calories.
Planning on having avocado toast with egg whites for my first meal (when Iโm hungry) and ordering in pizza for dinner plus healthy snacks as needed

Lori - I really love my stationary bike. It's my Netflix, interesting articles, rock out to music time. And before COVID my legs looked great!! โบ๏ธ If I do say so myself.
Louise and Jane - hope you are doing well.

Lori - I'm also getting in a lot more movement. By walking in the mall, doing the PT exercises, line dances and upper body video, I feel more on the move than ever. I just hope I can keep it up. The good thing about your bike is the multi tasking it allows. By year end figures, I just mean that I update all of our investments, dividends and such for a year end bottom line. I do it monthly as well - also balancing the etfs by asset class. Not something you need to do. For me investing is a hobby. I just ordered a set of ramekins. They're 6 oz each with a diameter of 4". Hopefully they'll serve the purpose. I'll order the ingredients for the cheesecake and quiche with my next order which comes next Saturday.
Kathy - I'm jealous about the bike but just don't have the room in our den where we tend to watch TV. There is room in the bedroom but DH spends a lot of time resting in there and when he's up we're usually together having meals or watching TV. Anxiously awaiting your D2 post. Tomorrow?? <g>
