WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

1555 calories 1322 exercise calories 38g fiber 110g protein 0g added sugar
It feels good to have a solid day in the books. I plan to remain sugar-free through the week, then possibly have a treat but remain under 2000 calories this weekend.
Lori, I made the cheesecake yesterday. Iโm not sure I love the lemon. I also got 3 servings and MFP calculated them to be 150 calories each, even with the 2% cottage cheese.
Nancy, I used 2 different types of ramekins for the cheesecake, I think I have 3 kinds altogether. They all seem to hold the same amount. Funny, I think thatโs the first time Iโve ever baked with them. They came as part of other sets. I made the quiche yesterday and followed the directions re: adding the ricotta and mozzarella mixture in dollops. So, so good that way. I also used a square baking pan as mine has a lid and itโs easier to store in the refrigerator.

Wow! Looks like yesterday was a solid day all around!!! I also checked off all the activity I wanted to fit in....
Nancy, I love that I have the time to try new, healthy, low cal recipes. It makes it easier to stay on program.
Jan, Great day yesterday! Nice that the cheesecake was still 150 cal. I never compared the 1% to 2%, must not be too much of a calorie difference. I actually enjoyed the lemon flavor, but my favorite is almond extract. It nice to try different flavor extract and different toppings...I love that itโs all high protein and healthy! Makes both a great breakfast or snack with no guilt and itโs filling..
Kathy, hope your doing well!

Jan - Great stats. How did you manage 110 protein? I think I might agree about the lemon now that you mention it. Do you think I could eliminate it and double up on the vanilla? And on the quiche, what do you think about 1/2 shredded mozzarella and 1/2 shredded cheddar?

Lori - We passed in cyber space. And I love that you try the low cal recipes so you can share with us <g>. I think I'll try the almond extract instead of the lemon since I love almond macaroons. If the 2% doesn't change the points or calories much, I might use that instead of the 1%. I absolutely HATE cottage cheese but that's not the same as baking it in a recipe I hope.

nancy , I hate cottage cheese too. I can't hardly conceive of the texture of cheese cake made with it being smooth. I use part-skim ricotta instead. I've been using it in recipes that call for Feta also It's snowing out but the temperature is 35 so it's ending up in the puddles on the road. I'm sure that all will be nice and icy tonight when Marisol and I go for her walk.

Once you blend the cottage cheese, you wonโt taste it. The cheesecake recipe is so good, and good for you, just try it once....

Lori - The mug cakes were marvelous - so good and so much tastier than the ones we used to make. Your single recipe fills 2 of my mini bundt pans, so triple the recipe will fill all six. Two of them = 1 pt and 68 calories. For the time being I don't even need any icing but at some point I might add some sf or ff cool whip. I did spray the pans with cooking spray and I did place them on a cookie sheet at 325 degrees, 10 minutes.
