Scale was up even though I was OP and exercised...go figure. It can make little sense. I am glad I *know* this happens or might throw in the towel. Whatever
Today we have tabouleh for lunch and I might make some hummus to go with it. We will see. Made a vegetable soup last night and threw in the cooked beets with different seasonings than usual...it was good but had no idea how to count the points for it.
CHERRY: How is your son, the priest, doing during this pandemic? Are there more funerals and grieving families than usual? It seems that would wear a body down over time...kind of like those are being worn down in the medical field.
BEVERLY: I think you are wise to drop stuff at your in-laws house and then RUN! Having lived in Saudi Arabia I know what you mean about what was/was not accepted. Our items from Jordan came overland to Saudi and the dolls, bibles, books, etc. were a problem BUT the dept my husband worked for waived them through and I ended up giving one of my bibles to a woman who didn't have one. The books NEVER had people on the covers...blood and gore were fine or flowers but not people.
LYNN: I hope that the electric meter people came and did what they were meant to do. It sounds fun to take a few classes.
Today is the day to face the music! I have a dr's appt today. I will face the scale. I haven't faced the scale in about a year, so no telling how much I weigh. I know that I am up from my goal weight. I was up 10 lbs the last time that I weighed, but I don't think that I have gained a whole lot since then, maybe another 10? Once the steroids were out of my system, the gaining seems to have stopped. So long as I stay as healthy as I have been the last few months, it is ok. Though I do have some pants that are too tight, I would like to fit into them again. I hope he clears me to have the vaccine. I have our name on the list to be called from the local health dept. when they are ready for us.
Hope everyone is off to a healthy & happier new year! Talk later.
The electric company did not show up and when I called, they said I did not have an appointment....They gave it to me in the beginning of December....go figure...now they will come next week...we will see what happens.
I finally bit the bullet and am doing laundry. I hope to get a few loads done today. Since there is no where to go, I can't shirk it off any more...haha
Cathy, the scale goes up and down all the time...you are doing so well... Waving to Cherry and Pam!!
I went to Minot today for my clinical studies appointment. My doctor ordered a Vitamin D test with the usual labs so I'm anxious to find out how that was. I've been taking extra vitamin D capsules. I also got an injection in my shoulder to see if that would help with my sore arm. I'm not sure it will because the pain seems to me to be more muscle or tendon pain than arthritis type pain. I'm just glad it is in my left arm rather than my right since I have a feeling that it is something I'll just have to live with. Stopped at the grocery store for a few things, mainly 100% whole wheat English muffins, which I can't find at any other stores than the one in Minot. Also got some fresh fruit and a chopped salad kit, a green onion bunch and a package of dried mango.
It was supposed to rain some today, and it did for a little while starting when I was about 5 miles from home. It wasn't heavy, just a light drizzle and was done by the time I got my groceries unloaded. Now the only thing I have left to do today is go downstairs and walk on the treadmill and maybe dance for a few minutes.
