*sigh* The walking dead.
"Sunday's episode of "TWD" was part one of three total finales for the show's final 11th season. Instead of the usual 16-episode season, the series' final season will run for an extended 24 episodes."
I'm glad they're taking the time to really tie up each character/story line BUT seriously? They're on hiatus until Feb now? Just show the danged series final season already.

Then they end it with a cliffhanger; then show a preview for February which gives the cliffhanger away. Other than the Connie episode, nothing has really happened to move the storyline along to an ending. I often wonder how these people managed to survive so long, lol!!

I started watching "The Cook of Castamar" on netflix. It's in Spanish and voice dubbed in English. So far it's interesting. There's a lot of gratuitous sex that doesn't really move the story along, kind of like Game of Thrones, but the overall story seems really interesting. I've watched 3 episodes and it's well written and acted for the most part.

Peacock, I can't get rid of the captions. I know there's some way to do it, but it sounds like you have to go in and reset the TV every. single. time. lani is it just with that show? We have never seen the CC on anything we’ve watched. * ETA I just googled and it doesn’t sound like having captioning on constantly is the default. This link may help. www.peacocktv.com/help/article/subtitles

We finally watched Knives Out and enjoyed it. If you like movies like Mouse Trap and Clue, this is a good one We also watched Black Widow. We're both Marvel fans, but I didn't particularly like this one. I think it had a great cast and the characters were developed ok, but the story line was a bit "meh".

For a long time the caption fix was only applicable to watching on a phone or tablet. That said, I don't really have anything that I have to watch on Peacock right now.

lani, oh, I think there's an actual site as well. I know it's on xfinity, but I had to set it up on the computer - maybe that was just the xfinity thing.

DotRen, like I said, I'm over Peacock for now. I'll research it some more if I find something I must watch there.

We just watched Dune. It was good, I liked the original as well. It is NOT a complete movie though, it ends about 1/2 way through where the original did (that was a surprise, I thought it was the whole book).

Was I the only one surprised when CSI: Vegas made a comeback? Didn't see that one coming.
