Quiet day yesterday till I heard what was going on in DC...decided to watch a bit then headed to bed because there was nothing I could do here to change what was happening there. This morning my husband was tense about the political situation in the world and also about family that may have been exposed to covid-19 and a sister who has developed a blood clot after her broken hip fix (a few weeks later). I told him to go outside and work in the garden to life his mood...he is always happier in the sun and working in the garden than worrying and stewing and listening to news.
CHERRY: Glad your arm is less sore and sorry your kitty has decided to play with your pile of magazines. I hope you stay warm and toasty insidde when the temperature drops and snow falls!
BEVERLY: Why not check out I Track Bites or My Fitness Pal. I Track Bites has four free options and two you can pay for and My Fitness Pal is also free. Both can be downloaded to your phone and you input food into the phone and it tracks bites/points for the program you choose. I don't know which program on WW you liked best BUT Conquer Cravings is the original points program with fat/fiber/calories for points and Carb Conscious is the Poins Plus Version...I think there is a Smart Points...maybe Sugar Smart? and then the fourth free one is counting calories. The Points My Way (or whatever that group on this board has said it is) has a place to track online in this forum if you want a place to be publicly accountable with points you have used in a day.
Good morning. My arm stayed feeling pretty good all yesterday, even though I did do the arm exercises with weights. This morning too, although it usually does feel better in the morning. I hope it lasts a long time, but I have no idea if it will or not. It does seem to help parts of the rest of my body too, like my thumbs and lower back. Knees not as much, although they feel a little better.
The cat doesn't exactly play with the magazines, he runs through the house and gets too close to them so they start scattering. Or he'll be playing with something and the toy lands by the magazines and then he pounces on it. I really need to find a better place for them or finish looking at them and dispose of them.
Today will be just another routine day. The only thing on my agenda is exercise. Tonight and tomorrow there is a 50% and 30% chance of snow, less than a half inch. Very little wind for the next few days and temps in the mid to low 30s.
Have a good day, beaches.

Cathy, I have thought about I track bites, I may check into this farther. So far, I am just doing a very basic WW. Today is day 3 of me really trying to do better. Hasn't been too bad so far. For whatever reason (probably because I am old), I like to track my foods with paper & pencil. We will see, So far, so good.
Cherry, glad your shoulder is better.
Lynn, glad that your DD has been able to stay healthy through this pandemic. I hope she continues to stay well. We are on-line to get the vaccination. Hopefully we will get in before the end of next week. The only place that has the vaccine here, is the county health dept. We are on the wait list, they are to call us when they get down to us on the appt list. BIL & SIL are home from NY. They are also on the list.
Pam, hope you are well.
We spent yesterday afternoon glued to the tv. It seemed like we were watching a movie. I couldn't believe that it was real. Hard to believe that there was so little security around the capitol of the US.
I didn't get back to my laptop all day as I was watching what was unfolding in Washington....Totally unbelievable! I too don't know why police were not prepared for this.
Bev, glad you are close to getting vaccines. We have to wait a bit...we'll see when it happens. My hematologist's office will be getting it and we will see if I can get it there or we will wait until our drug stores have it or our doctor....They are still doing nursing home residents here and emergency personnel.
Cathy, I may try Itrackbites too...It may take a while for WW to be back in action permanently. Cherry and Pam...waving hi and hoping all is well...
My cleaning lady is coming in a bit and we will put away my Christmas decorations and do some other things.
