I have already walked 40 minutes sand since I need to find out how the woman is saved from the ditch in a blizzard will no doubt walk 20 more in a bit  Talked to daughter last night and hope to talk to son and his family tonight. I have pots and pans to wash and other things to get done today...later
CHERRY: Let us know how the one skillet pastitsio turns out if you make it!
BEVERLY: Did you do Chinese takeaway or did you have steak and potatoes instead?
LYNN: I have done a bit of family tree tracing but there is someone else that has done a LOT so there is more information online about the past than I thought was possible. I have never really sleuthed for information but hope your course is interesting!

Good morning. I did make the pastitsio last night, and it turned out well. I cut the recipe in half and I still needed a large skillet. I thought it was going to be kind of thin, but when it was finished it was thickened up just fine. However I did add more tomatoes than I was supposed to. The original recipe called for 1 can of diced tomatoes and I dumped in the whole can instead a half can like I was going to. It was probably a good thing that I did, otherwise it would have probably been more solid. I have enough for 3 meals left. I'm going to freeze two of them.
This morning, while it is still dark, I'm enjoying the Christmas tree for the last time. Today I'm going to put it away, down in the basement. I do enjoy my tree a lot longer than most people. I didn't get many other Christmas decorations up this year, just the ones that are more winter than Christmas.
It did get foggy by the time it was fully light, but it wasn't dense and it cleared by noon. It was mostly cloudy, but the sun did shine through a few times. Today it is all cloudy but it is supposed to be up in the mid 30s. The next few days it will be warmer, in the 40s, but also windier. One of those days the wind will be from 20 to 29 mph, and the weather forecasters still insist on calling it "breezy!"

Good morning friends,
Still chilly here, in the 30's this morning, up into the mid 40's this afternoon.
Not much planned for today, just hanging around the house like most other days. I did complete my grocery order to be picked up tomorrow. I don't especially enjoy shopping this way, but it is better than getting out and getting sick.
The kids gave us one of those large heaters that heat up an outside area. We haven't taken it out of the box. I think that we are going to take it out today, just to see how it works. The thought that it would help us enjoy our porch on cooler days. Not sure how it will work, but we will see. I am still watching "The Crown". I am still on the first season & there are 4 seasons all together. I think there are 13 episodes in each season, so that will keep me busy for a while. I usually just watch one episode each day. Didn't even watch one yesterday, instead, we found a movie on tv last night that we both enjoyed.
There is no news on my neighbor, she is still on the ventilator.
Yesterday, I ended up just making some chicken strips & sweet potato & a small salad. Not sure what I will make today.
Well, it has happened!! I weighed myself yesterday & I was down over 3#s from my weigh-in at the dr's on Tuesday. I am back into the 180's! I am finally back in the game! The last year has been hard on all of us, along with my physical stuff going on, I had really got de-railed. Feels pretty darn good to be back on track.

Hello!
My course yesterday was fun and he gave us some other web sites to search for ancestors.
Not doing much today. DH ran up to the office for a bit to get prepped for the week. I'm not doing laundry today. I'll work on it during the week.
It is nice out today, but in the 20's so it is cold.
I ordered food that will be delivered on Wednesday. I was running out of fresh veggies and salad makings, all important to get me back on track.
I also miss going to the supermarket and looking around at all the products.
