Good morning. Yesterday I reluctantly put away my Christmas tree. Since it is already decorated and I have a string of lights on it that I leave on, it was simply a matter of taking it town to the basement, covering it, and setting it on top of a cabinet. It is about a 3 ft. tree. I still have blue and white lights above my large living room window and outside under the roof overhang which I use year round. The nice thing is they can be turned on remotely.
This morning I'm going to make a batch of hand lotion for my son. He is planning on coming here today for awhile. He gets itchy skin in the winter and says my lotion works the best. Other than that I'm going to straighten my living room and vacuum.
Today is supposed to be a fairly nice day, but then the next few days it will get windy even though it will be warmer in temperature than today. That always seems to level things out and the more wind the colder it feels.
My coffee is ready so I'm going to go get a fresh cup. Have a nice day, beaches.

Sitting here watching for a few snow flakes. They said we would have flurries this morning, but so far, I see nothing.
Today is grocery pick up day. I have a few things to drop off at the local help center. I also need to put gas in my car. I get the gas at the same plaza that I get my groceries. I haven't been out of the house in 4 or 5 days, so looking forward to it. No relief from the virus here. I did see that Arizona has taken over the lead in cases per capita in the world. Our state held that gross title for several weeks. I don't know if that means our cases have gone down, or that poor Arizona has gotten so much worse. Our dear neighbor is still on the ventilator, I don't expect her to ever come off, she just has too many things against her. She has been on the ventilator for over 2 weeks now. I know that the longer they are on, the less likely they are to come off. I have seen cases on tv where they came off after months, but they are usually younger, healthy people. All we can do is to continue to pray for her. We are still waiting for them to call us to come get our vaccine. I know the list is long & we have to wait our turn.
Happy thoughts! Happy thoughts! Happy thoughts!! I am trying to think about positive things to change my glum mood.
Cathy, I know getting ready for the lock down must be very stressful. When our started last year, we had just done a large food shopping at the commissary and were prepared. Cherry, have a nice visit with your son! Bev, I put in another online food order that is coming on Wednesday. The ShopRite we use is about 20 minutes away with no traffic, so I opt for delivery. Waving to Pam!
My dd is not back at the Covid Unit yet, so we must be holding our own here in NY. My zip code, though, is over 15% as we have a lot of no maskers here too.
My new fake tree was just delivered and I dragged it into the living room. We are going to open it up and make sure the lights work before we put it away. It is pretty heavy! I though I could handle it myself, but I don't think I can.
