Okay I have to admit that it totally me up there ^^ *(oops went to page 2 I mean the meme on page 1)
And I *may* have loudly been mumbling something about it being a freaking scavenger hunt EVERY time I went in and the person that was stocking the shelves said they do it so you spend more time in the store=spending more money π³ π€¬
Becky we have self checkout on both sides of the cashiers now but at least we still have cashiers in the middle, although there are never more than a few open. Yikes, I just thought of what Black Friday will look like with no cashiers π±

DebDoesWW, Thank you for the recommendation of the Turkey Sticks. I checked the Sam's club site and it looks like the club here carries that item. I have never noticed them! (Sam's used to have Turkey jerky, but it's been a few years...I wish they'd bring that back) The turkey sticks sound like something I'd like (a nice protein snack) and would also be good for my husband's lunch box.

jasimons I loved that turkey jerky. Sometimes they have this in the deli section and other stores have it in the freezer section, hope you like it!

DebDoesWW , Yay! I found the turkey sticks at Sam's this morning! And they are tasty! I was wary they'd be extremely high in sodium. For that type of product, the sodium level isn't that bad. Thanks again!

I haven't tried this yet but I came across a recipe for steel cut oats that used it so I had to grab some because, well, CAKE BATTER... π€ For anyone with an HEB that is were I found it, Walmart says they have it but mine has been out forever. Going to link the store locator below in case you want to try it. From the reviews it is actually a renamed version of their "Vanilla Butter & Nut Flavor" www.mccormick.com/spices-and-flavors/extracts-and-food-colors/extracts/cake-batter-flavor

DebDoesWW, it's really good for low-carb mug cakes, pancakes, chaffles, etc but there's a fine line between too little and OMG what chemical taste is this??! lol

Holly Gail, It's a waffle made with (basic recipe) just shredded cheese and egg nothing else Made in a mini waffle iron, it's about the size of an Eggo waffle and great for low-carb diets because of the lack of flour

Holly Gail, this is how I make mine, but I do use oat fiber so it has a nice, firm texture -almost like bread: In a mini food processor: 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella, pulse until it looks like bread crumbs, then add: 1T pecan flour 2tsp Oat fiber if you have it, if not itβs just less firm ΒΌ teaspoon baking powder pinch of salt β pulse a few times to blend then add: 1 large egg -blend until it make a really thick batter Makes 2 Dash mini waffles or 1 big standard waffle (let cool on a wire rack so it doesnβt steam on the bottom for the best finished texture) **If the batter is really thick, like oatmeal, add 1T water and pulse a few more times

If you live in Texas and have an HEB close by:
HβEβB Select Ingredients Hatch Pepper Turkey Burger 90/10
Pretty clean ingredients: Turkey, Hatch Chile Peppers, Citric Acid, Contains 2% or Less of: Natural Flavor, Salt, JalapeΓ±o Pepper Powder
150 calories; 8g fat; 2g sat fat; 430mg sodium; 1g carbs; 18g protein
They taste really good, not spicy but a nice flavor with just a slight kick.

Simple Truthβ’ Plant Based Non-Dairy Hot Pepper Cheezy Slices (Kroger family of stores) Surprisingly good taste, nice kick of heat from the peppers. Texture is meh- typical plant based cheese -a little grainy. The ingredients are pretty clean, too: Water, Modified Food Starch, Coconut Oil, Jalapeno Peppers, Natural Flavor, Salt, Fava Bean Protein, Paprika Oleoresin (Color), Turmeric & Annatto Extracts (Color).
4 points per slice is a little high, but if you want a tasty plant-based spicy cheese, this one is good.
I have not tried their Cheddar flavor.
Also: Simple Truth Organicβ’ Plant-Based Plain Cream Cheese Alternative I really felt like it was ok, not good, not bad. I just tried it with celery and it spread nicely. It needed salt or something. I hope they have a chive and onion, or that type, of flavor (just not at my store of course lol). Ingredients: Prepared Butter Beans and Oats (Water, Organic Butter Beans, Organic Oats), Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Agave Syrup, Organic Gum Arabic, Konjac Root Powder, Sea Salt, Organic Cultured Dextrose, Organic Natural Flavor, Organic Citric Acid, Calcium Citrate, Lactic Acid.
2 points for 2T isn't bad.
I did not try to heat/melt either of these, so I don't know how melty they get.

Another HEB plant based find:
HβEβB Select Ingredients Unsweetened Plain Coconut Milk Yogurt ingredients: Coconut milk (water, coconut cream, modified tapioca starch, salt), live and active cultures, vitamin B12. It's 10 points for a cup, not low-fat, but: It's a blank canvas. It has no flavor to speak of, not at all like a plain Fage or Chobani yogurt. It seems like it would be a nice, creamy base for salad dressings or something like that. It does not come in small containers, just the 24oz one (at least at my location).
