That kitty sounds like she's a really busy one exploring everything she can get to and I know cats can get to a lot of things. Have a safe day traveling to shopping and church, Ginny.
CJ, I absolutely love that quilt top. It's really fun looking at quilts like that and finding the blocks that have made up the overall pattern. The pattern on the cup reminds me of heart hats I crocheted. I love the look. The stepping stones picture does look exactly like stonework that someone might have on their patio or floor.Quilts are so interesting besides being beautiful.
Ginny, yes you're right, mine is a Janome. And you're going to laugh but I didn't get it out because it always sits out on a small desk I have that's sitting in the beginning of the alcove space off the living room. I'm going to look up that link you posted because, even though I have used it very little I imagine there is some kind of maintenance that I should be doing. (much like my car) I did plod thru my craft roon the other day and did get a little bit of organization done but never did make it to the fabric. In the process of doing the organizing I must have strained some muscles in my lower back because when I got up the next day...yesterday...my back was doing it's little spasm dance and lasted all day and part of the night. Feels a little better today. The boxes of fabric are heavy though so I won't try moving them today.

CJ- how much snow are you supposed to get??? I really like that Norway quilt - perhaps its boring to you because its only two fabrics- but they are oh so pretty. Are you planning on putting a border on it (think I would use the white fabric, but either fabric would be lovely). And yes, I can see why teal would be boring to you at the moment- there was not much deviation from that color way on the quilt. Then stepping stones project is so pretty...did you start that yet? Love that collection of red hats. There was one (with vertical ribs - middle hat on the right hand side) that reminds me of the many hats my mom made for my kids. She knit them in almost every color imaginable, so that they would always have a hat to match their winter coat. What am I doing wrong that I can no longer get the picture to post and can only get a link?? I am still using that post images site- thanks for figuring all that out for us.
Ruth- that sure stinks that you irritated your back! Hope it feels better soon-and that the spasms end. back spasms hurt like crazy.
Schools are all closed tomorrow...looks like the storm total could be 12-20 inches. Ds will be coming home tonight and was able to get tomorrow off as a vacation day.(he has many that he carried over from last year). Just hope we keep power. I did order a book to help teach myself the meandering quilt patterns - and i did one practice piece.- it looks horrible is not as bad as it could be. I figure with practice I can get this so it will look ok. I have to make the quilt sandwich, practice a ton and wait for the book to get here for additional tips.

Ginny - I'm sorry to hear you might go so much snow! It's only been a few inches here and then it turned to a mix. I think we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow, but hopefully not too much. Good luck with the free motion quilting. I'm sticking to straight line quilting for now. I hope to start the Stonehenge quilt this week. I think what you might be doing with using Post Images is that you copy the link once you have pulled up the picture you've uploaded, and then you might be just copying the link onto your post here on the board, instead of pulling up the option to "insert an image" (the little icon that looks like a picture when you are composing your post here at the board) and then pasting that link into it and selecting "insert image". You have to make sure to delete the "http://" from the IMAGE URL line before you paste your link from post images on that line. Then you are ready to select "insert image". Also you can't use quick reply to do this, you have to use the full reply option so you can see the line of icons to choose from. Hope you can understand what I said It works the way you do it since we can click on the image, but it worried me that I might be linking people into my post images account, and of course it's more fun to see the picture showing up in the thread.
