Good Monday Morning Canners I was a bit MIA last week due to heating unit calamities, family member stressors, work and vaccine angst.Happily I have received vaccine #2 and DH is scheduled for Vaccine #1 at a mass innoculation drive thru on Weds. he is very cautiously optimistic. Now for the rest of you!!!!
Janet: I do lots of online exercise including Leslie Sansone, Pahla B, hondurian zumba, and a boy zumba group -cant remember the name. You can also look up BANG Freedom for a low impact high intensity Cardio.
I am ready for Spring- and am sick of wondering how cold I will be- also missing outside Starbucks pauses in my day. I have named my kitchen cabinet DC:dreaded cabinet, since it has tasty but easily overindulged healthy snack items. I have become too familiar with items in there.especially when feeling anxious or during transitions.A goal for my week!
Off to the races!!!Sending you all warm February hugs

Good Monday Morning, positive 🐣🐣!
Sally - Thanks for starting the thread! And Yay for progress with vaccinations! I will be going online & checking more frequently for my local sites, hoping to see appointments again...
I’m going to try to post every morning on our thread this week...trying to establish a new morning routine for myself that will aid in my peace of mind.
Yes I did: —walk in place during Livestream Mass yesterday. I do pause occasionally to sing along with the hymns or say prayers, but at least I am establishing a habit of starting activity early in the morning. —a very brisk late afternoon walk in “felt like” 11° weather. Just 33 minutes for my route, but the fresh air (once I was out and moving!) felt invigorating, LOL! —work on my fed taxes! Thanks to whoever suggested the 15 minutes a day. My online prep software won’t be up until Friday but I updated my spreadsheet and gathered my records.
Yes I can: —stay focused & reframe to positivity!
Be well! Carol

Happy Tuesday, positive 🐥🐥!
Yay, day 2 of posting here...not morning but oh well!
Yesterday I Did: --Tai chi, Cardio Mix (a dance workout in English & Spanish), and a Leslie Sansone walking video. --Watch lots of birdies. One lone Starling splashed at the birdbath....brrr! It was 2º in the morning, warmed up to 25. --run errands: Groceries, post office, attempted to return an Amazon item (fail....needed a code from my computer at home, oops!) --laundry & bill paying. Meh.
Yes I CAN: --get outside for a bit of fresh air, still 20s but not as brisk as yesterday! --stay positive, not obsessively watch TV, which my sweetie is glued to today
Be well! Carol

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health. Wednesday. 2.10.21.
Jan thanks for advice to bury past and work on present. I noted book -- I always love your book suggestions.
Nat Happy Anniversary! It is cold here, 37 and raining.
Sally hooray on vaccine 2, a friend signed me up but I had to cancel - I really do not qualify yet. Thanks for sharing your workouts.
Carol, 11 degrees is beyond my ability to comprehend. I have not been great about my 15 minutes a day on taxes so I did 45 minutes yesterday including a difficult phone call involving problems with a 1099.
Yes I have been not wonderful checking in and as usual when that happens -- it affects my eating. OP but carbs creeping up. Yes I did (yesterday): weight class, home abs, elliptical at gym, very short walk with friend. I did put some cereal on my fruit last night, I had the points but need to avoid that. More office admin than law. Hung out wash in living room because weather so crummy. Yes I can: spinning class. Law. Try to stay OP and avoid carbs. I think the book I am reading Jan recommended, Sandcastle Girls. Not very far in but liking it so far. Love light blessings and good health, janet

Happy Wednesday Peeps!
Been busy the past couple of days, logged on to read posts and then got distracted. I took a very long walk to the beach yesterday with my pal and we hit the little local nursery on our way back home. Bought sage and thyme plants, my favorite herbs besides chives and parsley. I use fresh thyme a lot on roasted vegetables. It's cold here too...if 60-degrees is cold in your book. We have a chance of more rain on Friday which would be great. Things are still dry here in SoCal. I have been watching a great documentary on Amazon Prime about a year in the life of 3 educators living on a Victorian era farm in English countryside. We are so spoiled with all our modern technology.
Be back Tomorrow!

Good Wednesday evening positive peeps! I've had a nice relaxing two days off and back to work tomorrow. I'll stay down at mom and dad's for the night. Ate a few good meals out, so now back to it. I haven't been tracking well at all, but have kept to meatless, not so much dairyless at the moment. Weight is staying within a 2-3 lb area. I just think there are too many stresses on my plate right now to be consistent with a real strict diet plan. So I'm focusing on making as good of meatless choices I can and getting through this challenging period in my life at the moment. Just wish I had that crystal ball to see how long I am really going to need to do this for. Hanging on though! Brrr Carol, it's cold back there. Hope you have some warm sunny days soon. Yay Sally on your second shot and fingers crossed for DH. Janet, those darn carbs taste so good! Lol Jan on your cold 60 degrees. But I hear you, it sometimes feels colder to me down the mountain when the cool wind is blowing than a 35 degree crisp no wind weather up here. Yes I CAN: Get the last of my steps in tonight. Get things ready for next few days. Enjoy the last of my relaxation time tonight. Fingers crossed for better sleep and no stressing in the middle of the night!! Keep putting on that smile! Nat

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Jan thanks for thyme hints. I have some and no idea what to do with it. It is no longer fresh unfortunately.
Nat - I totally get you with stress eating and stress not sleeping. Tough times. I gave into carbs again last night.
Hi Carol! Hi Sally!
No I didn't stay OP. Home made rye bread. Some pretzels filled with peanut butter which were not even very good. No I wasn't as productive as I would have liked with work deadlines. I did do home abs, something on taxes, and spinning class.
Yes I can: stay op, not use bread machine. Prep healthy low point food. Tonight: weight class, cardio, errands. Cold here. Cold with drizzle. No walk breaks.
Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Thursday Evening.
Started the day with a nice easy walk and chat with my friend. Very good for my head. My friend and neighbor across the street gave me fresh eggs from her chickens. How lucky am I? We bought a coffee table for our office today, that unfortunately has to be put together. The good news is the instructions are in English and not just pictures like Ikeas. Worked in the garden after my walk. Beautiful day here.
Nat: I get what you are saying about sometimes just hanging on to good habits and relaxing the "diet drive". These hearings are so crazy, I want to shake some Senators and say "WAKE UP!".
Janet: I want some of that yummy homemade bread! Thyme is very easy to grow. Easier from plants than seed.
Hi Sally and Carol.
Sweet Dreams to All.

Good Thursday Evening, 🐥🐥!
Yesterday I did: —taichi & circuit classes via Zoom. Just heard many staff are now laid off, permanently, from our local Y facilities. I feel very sad about that...some really nice people. I hope some will be hired back after things settle down and the herd has been vaccinated. —check on Old House and pay lawn guy for more snow shoveling —enjoy our computer club zoom. We also managed to get 2 new people to agree to run for the board next month, yay!
Be well! Carol 😴

Good Morning Love, light, blessings, and good health. Friday. 2.12.21.
Jan walking and eggs, two of my favorite things. Enjoy your new coffee table!
Carol the layoffs are so sad, so many people affected. Praying for an end. Vaccines are happening and that is good.
Hi Nat! Hi Sally!
Cold and icy here in Texas. I did stay OP. I did get to the indoor track and have a walk yesterday mid-afternoon. I also filled up my gas tank. Bad weather to continue but I will get in some sort of a workout. Hopefully today will be OP. I don't know how people that have a real winter every year handle it. I just hate the snow, the ice, the cold, all of it so much. I put some granola out for the critters yesterday but it is untouched so far. Poor critters. I did get a lot of law done and I have talked to a bunch of lawyers on the phone. Yes I can: get in some sort of workout. Stay OP. Law. Beyond that, the weather just too crummy to make plans. Step one is getting out of my robe and into clothes. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Friday! Hi Sally! So glad you are getting to see Nora soon. Just good to have someplace to go. We are wearing double masks now. The name of the documentary is Victorian Farm on Amazon Prime. Janet: Wow, crazy weather in Texas. My Cousin in Fort Worth sent me a link to their local weather station and lots of snow and cold there. Not to mention the giant 130 car pile up on the freeway's icy roads. So sad. Glad you can just relax and stay warm. My squirrels would love your granola lunch! Carol: Yes, very sad that so many are losing jobs and businesses. I see so many small restaurants and bars that have gone under in my area. My favorite Pizza place went under! Nat: Been watching eagles Jackie and Shadow on their snowy nest. Two eggs as of yesterday. Love the Big Bear site. Not much going on with us today. I did start the day counting my gratitude...having a nice warm, soft bed. Then I got up. LOL We have some neighbors who are fighting and involving us in their story. Talked to both of them separately today, and we are going to have to tell them both we don't want to take sides. Very uncomfortable situation. Why can't people just be adults? Almost done putting together the coffee table (not terrible!) and have a healthy dinner planned. A bit of rain this morning so that's good. Any plans for Valentines weekend Peeps? Nothing too exciting here I guess. Have a Great Evening Everyone, and have some fun. Jan

Good Friday Afternoon, 🐥🐥!
Sally - that’s great news about local circle and trip to see DGD.
Jan - kudos for impartiality and gratitudes❤️
Nat - hope your back to work is going well. Agree on what you said earlier about just doing the steps and letting go of the results...the process is good!
Janet - good for you using the indoor track. that’s some crazy weather y’all are having in TX.
We do get somewhat conditioned to the cold up north here but I don’t enjoy the icing and slush on the roads & paths I like to walk upon. At least the daylight hours are increasing again, so my mood does improve some. I can walk later in the afternoons and just generally feel more energetic. But I’m still doing more indoor activity than outdoor.
Yesterday I did: —FitSteps ballroom dance class via Zoom —cello lesson via FaceTime —walking video on YouTube All virtual, all the time, LOL!
This afternoon it was sunny so I actually went outside for a short walk, just 1/2 hour. It was strange, after a couple minutes walking, my back felt cold! Odd, I thought, but then I found it was only 15°...the cold air was just creeping in under my jacket. Brr. Now I’m sitting here in my comfy chair with my blankie 😉
Be well! Carol
