How do you get the "itch" back to follow the program?

I talk to myself. I don't think I'll ever get the itch back I had when I started my weight management journey in 2006, but I still remember my whys and that motivates me. Anyway I talk to myself and remind myself I'm doing this for life and it I don't keep it up I'll will have more health problems. I start with small steps at a time.

I will never have the same motivation I had back in 1964 when I started WW, it was kind of like a magical thing to lose 40 pounds, feel and look so good. Now I want to be at goal for my health, it's hard to get those first feelings back. I am so close to goal and just want to get it over with to meet my long time goal of a 25 BMI!
You ladies on BBR inspire me as many of you are at goal and I want thank you for making me realize I can do it if you can! Judy is so inspiring with losing her weight and keeping it off for 12 years with good reasoning behind it, to be healthy.
Another source of inspiration for me is the many WW virtual meetings I go to, the people who talk in class, many who have lost over a hundred pounds and say tracking is the key, this has really helped me to lose the last few pounds I've been carrying around for some time. When I get to goal I plan to tell my story in workshops and WW connect because it's other people's stories that have helped me to succeed!🤗

This time it was my sister's enthusiasm the first few weeks she had started the WW My Way program by downloading the app and paying for it. I found the I Track Bites app and joined her a month or two later and we have been supporting one another ever since. The itch to start on her program that began this week was inspired by an ITB post on Facebook in a group where one person said she was doing the blue program using ITB's free Freestyle based program and that clicked for some reason. I needed a "change" and sometimes learning a "new" program is motivating SO I am doing Blue and double checking with my sister if the app seems wonky on points at any time.

I agree with mac, that the itch gets scratched reading about your successful weight loss journeys. You’ve all done such amazing work and it is impressive. Initially, my recent restart was more a “howl” than an itch. Last year I watched myself get unhealthier and heavier and finally reached a “that’s it” point. The last round of Beck helped get me back on track and cement better habits. Logging and tracking keeps me honest as I had a setback during the holidays. The itch for healthy eating is primarily triggered by a desire for a healthy BMI. This requires much more self talk as it’s so easy to stray. I keep working on this one. The Beck reviews really help because they reinforce good reminders of necessary tactics. Sabotaging thoughts require real talk downs. Just yesterday my husband and I were coming home from an eye exam and we had to really talk ourselves out of picking up fast food. Instead we reluctantly resisted, and ate what we had planned earlier: homemade soup. Small win. The biggest challenge for me in the last couple of weeks has been a plateau. The scale can be so fickle and it’s hard not to get sucked into the thrill of steady weight loss every single week. An uptick usually means I need to tighten up some freewheeling snacking.

lizlor, Good job on eating what you had planned. When I started Weight Watchers I noticed I had a habit of almost every time we were out of the house I wanted to eat out. Had to break that habit.

I remember being sick and never wanting to go back there.
