I finally found a place in the refrigerator for all of the vegetables. I wondered if it might be wise to invest in more rectangular and square containers since they fit in better than the round ones. I made roasted broccoli and cauliflower last night and some taratour (tahini, lemon, garlic) to drizzle on top - it was good. Today I am thinking I will make some stuffed green peppers and fill them with black eyed peas, bulgur and some chopped onions and garlic with tomato sauce...maybe some nuts or dried fruit? We will see. With it...salad or perhaps curly endive boiled then drained and dressed with lemon juice, a bit of olive oil and chopped onions.
Nothing exciting to share. It is going to cool down but right now the windows are open, birds are singing and life is fine!
CHERRY: I would love to have a real haircut. I had let my hair grow out till it was almost all the same length only trimming the back and then got frustrated and cut it all to about one inch SO am letting it grow again and hoping the scissors don't call to me again!
BEVERLY: Glad you were able to get your second vaccination and are able to have your house cleaned.
LYNN: I hope you were able to rest and relax while staying warm at home! I can see why having someone inside on a cold day cleaning would be...less than desirable.

Good morning. Cold again today and not getting above zero, and a wind. More of the same the rest of the week. It is sunny out today though.
I was glad to be able to get my hair cut. The hairdresser was the only one in the shop and we were both masked. I'd never attempt to try to cut it myself. As it is it wants to lay differently than it used to. I'm going to wash it this morning and see if it behaves better.
I got groceries yesterday too, and only about half the people in there were wearing masks. Our Covid numbers are down statewide, but the city still has a mask mandate even though it was never enforced.
I don't have any specific plans for today, just whatever I feel like doing at the time. There's still lots of little things I could be doing. Right now the only important thing is my coffee.
Have a good day, ladies.

Good morning friends,
Cold & rainy here this morning, ice just to the north of us, hope it stays away. We are supposedly in for 2 days of this, so we will see. It is supposed to be in the 40's today, but only in the 30's tomorrow.
Our covid numbers are way down, too. It is about time. For a while, we were the hot spot of the world. Almost every family that i know, has been impacted one way or the other with it. Our little friend (age 42) was taken off the ventilator yesterday!! This is wonderful news. She has 3 children that need her desperately. This is some of the best news that I have heard in a long time. She still has a long road to recovery, but she is on the way.
Today, I am making beef stew. I will send some to DS & DGS. DIL is away on her first business trip since the start of the pandemic. That's about all that I have planned for today. I am taking pictures off the wall & getting the back bedroom ready to be painted. Hopefully the painter will come next week.
Take care ladies, stay warm & safe.

Hello all!
I just got back from renewing my driver's license and opted for the enhanced so I can use it when I travel to visit my son or any where domestically and I think Canada. It took all of 15 minutes and everyone was so nice at the AAA store where I did it. So much better that the DMV. DH took me and went into the office after that.
They just came out with the statement that we should wear two masks to protect ourselves. I think we will do it as it can't hurt.
We are having leftover soup tonight, a vegetable, ham and barley one I made on Monday. It is very cold, so it will hit the spot. I still have bags of ham left over from Christmas, so I can make tons of soup all winter.
Nothing else to report. Reading is probably on the agenda and we will start thinking about going away for a weekend someplace in NY as there are too many things you have to do to go out of state. I miss our monthly trips to RI so much!!
Have a great day!
